The reason it's $13 is because there is not competition so they charge more. Where as in philly there is a bunch of places that sell philly cheese steaks with causes competition and in order to keep up you have to lower your prices

As someone who lives in Philly I'd say this shit is beautiful. I've traveled the country and almost nobody gets it right like this. Some places don't understand how to correctly chop the steak, veggies etc. or they just leave me with some cold ass bread. The only thing I find weird is the cheese wiz. I'm used to some provolone.

For everyone that will be in Philly looking for a cheese steaks here is a tip, don't go to Genos or Pats. They're waaaaay too hyped up. Go to Max's on broad and Erie or Delassandro on ridge Ave in Roxbourgh. They are many other places in Philly that has great cheese steaks as well but don't get suckered into Pats or Genos.......please just don't or Tony Luke's either.

I agree with everything you said and I would like to add a couple more places. One is Joe's on Torresdale Avenue and Girard Avenue , and my personal favorite is John roast pork on Snyder Avenue. Not only does he have one of the best cheesesteaks anywhere he does not even carry cheese whiz. Also he has a roast pork Italian to die for. Well I am at it let me say this Amoroso rolls maybe famous but they're not anywhere near what's Sarcone's and Liscio's are. Now that's good bread.
