I have been driving large Class A motorhomes for many years and feel confident in turning corners and backing into sites.
My tip is to drive at 2-3 miles under the speed limit or the average speed of the traffic. The advantage of this is the traffic usually come in groups on open highways. By traveling a couple miles less, the group passes you by and you are left alone for up to five minutes or more before the next group catches up. This gives you a breather and eliminates always being in the midst of heavy traffic.

I've never found any pretend meat that actually tastes good. The only purpose for pretend meat is to satisfy the desire for meat and I don't think it actually does that. Probably better to just eat actual vegetables and work on ways to make the presentation more varied and interesting .

The only way veggies can be meat is when an animal eats those veggies (as they should) and we harvest a healthy animal to use for food. Pretend meat is just not right. Make a portabello burger or tomato cheese pie - much better and REAL :)

We took a two-person course with RV Driving School years about 18 years ago, when we had a 35ft Class A. Highly recommend it!! We always kept our speed at 55-60. Now that we have a Class B, I drive that same speed. We never know when another driver might do something really stupid, so we want to be able to react and adjust quickly. Gives us great fuel mileage, as well . . . 20mpg. 😉

I just want to say that I am dreaming of purchasing an RV and traveling. I am a single woman with a small dog, and frankly, am both excited and terrified. Mostly terrified because I've never towed an RV (although I have driven a very large moving ban towing my car behind).
I subscribe to some excellent RVers sites that have been very insightful as to what to expect (yours included). However, I've still been very nervous and admittedly fearful of driving an RV. It's a huge responsibility, and there are so many things you need to know about the "mechanics" of an RV.
I do so appreciate this podcast and that you provide information on the RV School! What a relief to know that is available! Thank you for your podcast and all the information you provide!
I do have a couple of questions. How do you know where you can boondock, and how do you get your mail or packages delivered?

I got on the Brinkley bandwagon at first but I just don’t see what the big innovation and game changing is all about.
Built in fresh water hose? No window valances? Slick social media presence? Yes, their plants are beautiful and they are doing a few small things differently but they haven’t re-invented much.
They are having their issues and the cult like following is what’s making it a game changer. Remember these are the same people that gave us Grand Design, which was a “disrupter.”

Mike I'm with you! The plant based sounded good until I put it into practice. I can't take it! Sorry to all the plant based folks out there. I'm gonna have to do Jen's method. Love the podcast ~Lynette

The trick is the herbs and spices you use to flavor your vegetarian foods. Try Indian inspired spicing, and more chick peas. Try Chetna's cooking recipes for inspiration. Doesn't take any longer than prepping a pot roast or any other traditional recipes. You are definitely suffering, you are hangry, hunger produced anger. No diet works if it makes you unhappy.

I don't know why you would go plant based, if you do your research it's not great for you .. try clean eating mostly unprocessed food , Get rid of additives gums , I don't do any grains except rice. Organic as much as possible.

Excellent podcast!! We went to RV Driving School in the podcast and it was worth it. We now can easily drive and back up a 40 ft RV.

There is a way to make veggies into healthy casseroles but maybe more time consuming. Can you eat beans mixed into veggies for protein?

Why shouldn't anyone eat romaine lettuce??

I also would be interested in that answer. Is it some issue with the Romaine lettuce itself or some concerns with how it is typically grown?
