But its not even good at that. The ride is absolutely bone jarring crashy and loud, interior is uncomfortable and the gas mileage isn't even that much better than my 2.4L Accord because you have to take every merge floored.
I rented a 2014 Toyota Corolla LE it was so wonderful Carter Dr actually better than Altima in my opinion. I also read of the Nissan Altima so that's why I say it's better than the Nissan Altima. the CVT in the Altima at 38,000 miles the CVT was running on its last leg. Then I got the chance to drive the corolla. I drove the last generation corolla and and i hated it. This one and they really improved definitely. But I am thinking about getting the Avalon because it is a version of the Corolla.:-) no I noticed on your profile you that you have a Honda accord I wish Honda brings out the a larger a cord so I can be compatible with the Toyota Avalon. As you can tell I buy Toyota and a Honda fan.☺
This car really isn't a blast to drive.... Moving from a Honda Civic to this is like an apartment to a trailer...meh. Handling is not nearly as good, and the Honda engines have much better torque! I take off, this thing was as slow as a bug!
The Corolla and Civic are sort of meh right now. I'm glad the 10th generation Civic will be coming out at the NY auto show. The 9th generation is a good car but it's missing something. My money would buy a Mazda 3.
The S is literally the exact same car with some bigger alloys and other little "sporty" bits in and out. Getting a manual would probably make it a little bit quicker but nothing will change that raspy engine sound. In all honesty look at a Mazda3, Civic or Jetta before the Corolla, they all cost around the same or even less and are WAY better cars.
Thank you for replying! I have been seriously considering the Civic and Mazda3 they seem way better I just have to make sure the maintenance costs and insurance differences arent too much between them.
I know its been a while since you drove these cars but how does this compare to that 13' Fit? I daily the "family" Corolla know and I'm thinking of a 2009-2012 Fit sport
@@djkenny1202 Honda automatics aren't necessarily weaker, they require maintenance and they can't being neglected! People never change their transmission fluid! Smh
@@djkenny1202 I've had a Rav4, Highlander, Camry. But this Corolla moves like a sloth! It really isn't fun to drive! 🤷🏻♀️ My civic was much more fun. Just old lol.
@@yodead369 I would never buy one without a manual. Well, if a manual is available, I would definitely get it over an automatic or CVT. Hondas have wonderful manual transmissions too boot. Be Sad to lose the opportunity to shift.
This video, as well as his previous review of the Corolla, only confirms why I bought a brand new Honda and not a junky Toyota. Hell, there is so much rattling (I believe it is the car, but it is probably his camera mount) in this piece of junk.
I just got this car today and I already love it
Just gorgeous beautiful car I swear ❤️
2014 corolla le?
Everyone here is thinking it would be a blast to drive lmao. Its a eco-box commuter car that focuses on reliability.

@@Jakeman21642 yeah I noticed this after trading my Honda!!! This mother f***** I had to stop the gas all the way down to get going?!? Wtf?
The ultimate car for enthusiasts. This must have been such a blast to drive.

@@yodead369 The Honda Civic is about as bland to drive as this. The Si and the Type-R are the only Civics that are genuinely fun.
@@thecriticalthinkeroutsidet4947 I mean they have different suspension, so yeah they’re gonna be funner to drive.
i bought corolla le 2014.i love it💜..but how is it on snow .😊
Since is is a FWD car u should have no problem in the snow, enjoy!!

Would it be better to buy a 2015 LE or 2014 S ?
Im hoping the S has a little more sound and starting speed but the engine and hp is the same so..

The S is too stiff. It's also more rattly than the softer base and LE.
4:58 Why did you beep at that Acura?
Why did you thumbs up your own comment
Idk why people do that
I have the same car in the video same model but sliver dark blue paint
NICE 2014 Toyota Corolla LE Test Drive

Test them both? If you want a stick shift either car. If you want automatic, go Corolla. The Honda automatics are much weaker.

my mom upgrades to a 2013 and gave me her 97. in all honesty, the 97 handles better. toyotas were best in the 90s.
are they fun to drive cause i have a matrix and it looks boring.
I could not think of a less fun to drive car in all honesty.
It’s basically a matrix without the hatch

I drive one. It doesn't rattle at all. It's probably the Camera.

I had this as a rental and there is way too much engine and road noise and the interior is really cheap looking

Uhhh no?
@@Jakeman21642 that’s bs. Only Muslims drive corollas because we built them
