Nice video Mart, my first 4 wheel vehicle a 1955 100e van that my uncle bought new. That same uncle was a Panther motorcycle mechanic after the war, I used to love going with my dad to visit him at work. I didn’t think 57 300e vans had the three bar grill? Bernard.
Ian & Julie are great folks! (Don't tell Ian I said that though...) All three of their very different green Fords are of an exceptionally good standard.
My Primary school mates Dad had a Squire estate ,thanks for vid of this stunning Van brings back pleasent memories.D series step on air cleaner Love it....👌
The carpetting in the beautified interior is good too.! When I worked in a car accessory shop, I sold my friend some knobly black carpet,, and he did the roof of his Reliant Regal estate!
Actuall, I saw one of these 27 Litre Meteor engine, when I went round the Rolls Royce factory, when they made my favourite model, the Silver Spirit, in 1994
Hi Mart, It's Maggie with the Green 100e,I was wondering if you was attending Old Ford Rally on the 21st July,if so looking forward to seeing you again with your 100e in the flesh so to speak. Loving your vlogs keep up the good work.😊
Hello Maggie. I hope to go, but won't know until the last minute. If I do go I can't guarantee going in the 100E unfortunately. We'll see. Thanks for all your support.
I've always liked these vans, saloons, and also Squire estate cars - so it's a pleasure to see this! Actually, what is the difference between a 100 E, and a 300E? Also it's such a good idea to put a 1600 engine on a VAN. So it can DO its job as a van, and carry heavy things! What is that engine from?
Love these vans and definitely on my future shopping list. Currently have my first car an Austin A35 van and a Ford model Y van. Though unfortunately my A35 van has been replaced by the Ford in the garage so isn’t quite as clean as this beauty, though by no means rough. Really needs to both be stored inside, though can’t quite bring myself to sell the Ford.
On paper at least the number is still valid on the dvla database. I was told it was cut into a fenderless (wtf?) pickup so god knows what it might look like now.
My dad had a couple of those Thames vans when I was a kid back in the 60s. I’ve loved them ever since. 😍
Very nice Mart. This would be a an absolute sleeper with some stock looking albeit wider than stock wheels on it. Tastefully done.
Stunning 300E van. Brilliant job. Credit to the owner.
Excellent mart just my thing, well thought out clean and just the right subtle mods I love that sort of thing
Very nice van, too cool!
Nice little van and nice people own it! How about those Rolls drivers would even acknowledge one of our lowly Ford coupes!! LOL

Very nice mart
Is that Thames written on the bonnet? Can't quite make it out Mart.
Very straight as you say.
Bought at the right time.
Hi Kevin. Yes, the commercials were marketed as Thames. This was a Thames 7cwt Deluxe.

Yes, they're pretty neat. The A35 would be an interesting comparison with it's 4 speed box and overhead valve A series. Thanks for commenting.
Nice looking van. Feelings of Déjà vu. I wonder if your old "Pat" van is still around?
