    Nice build 👌
    I like the box, I may consider upgrading my ply battery box 🤔 it certainly looks better than my DIY effort 😁

      @Dirt-Diggler Thank you👍😊. DIY rules and I love it! Technically speaking this is sold as a DIY box kit, just nice and metal. I really like the massive 48V ones that now run my home, but these are cool, well made and considerably more mobile friendly (30kg vs 125kg)! Cheers, Adrian

    Seems like you could screw the balance terminal wire to the buss bar before you slide the vinyl covers on?

    • @DADvinci
      @DADvinci  2 месяца назад

      @davidhamilton8984 Good shout David and something I did have a go at. The problem is the cross-bar makes it very difficult to get the busbar on the terminals and increases the possibility of pulling the cable out of the board. To date, this has been the only real (low risk) way I've found of getting it in on the ones I've built. Thanks for the suggestion though. All the best, Adrian

    Great video my friend, do you have the weight of the battery box including everything except the battery cells?

    The downside to this box is I do not see any way to order it without having to get that garbage BMS that comes packaged in with it. That's a serious waste of money to have to pay for that only to put in a good quality BMS of your own.

      @jkutyna Each to their own. Never had a problem with JK BMSs and neither have people I've built batteries for. Same for JBD and Daly BMSs.

      From what I’ve heard JK BMS’ are generally good for batteries of this size

      @@DADvinci cheers Adrian, your video has sold me on using these Eel boxes in my Biodome products, they look extremely professional and I haven’t found pre built batteries to be reliable. Extremely useful video for me

    • @DADvinci
      @DADvinci  2 месяца назад +1

      @jamieclarke321 No problem at all Jamie, glad it provided useful. Prebuilt are fine unless you have a problem (with or without a warranty) as you can't really get into them to repair or see build quality without cutting them open which isn't ideal. That's what I like about the EEL, fully serviceable/repairable, although it's only likely to be the fuse or BMS that needs attention should it ever stop working (LiFePO4 cells seem to be very reliable and long lasting). I've got a few left from the current batch and now build them for customers if you're ever interested. The BioDome looks like an awesome addition to any school! Cheers, Adrian
