I remember going there as a child in the 60's, back then it was free. Got stuck many times in our 57 VW bus. Don't think I would be willing to pay the admission today.

Just returned home from Baja.. That wind drove us out of there! Some new friends are still there and being beat up from it.. First time for all of us.. Seems this is the wind season, yes.

Dang we missed you by a couple days! The wind was wild, being able to hear it coming down the canyon a few seconds before it hits you

Ugh, wind has got to be one of my least favorite conditions when camping, especially in a tent. Looks amazing there!

Totally agree! Dusty was great in the wind. We slept down below and didn't pop the top that night.

@@DirtSunrise He said it was windy the last day. Those winds can really pick up, I remember one night in Gonzaga, holy cow I've never seen wind like that. I miss Baja so much, I'm stuck up here in tyrannical Canada, I shoulda packed up and left a year ago. I hear New Mexico is offering asylum to Canadians...

    Hey guys!
    thanks for another great video!
I was hoping you could tell me what the sleeping deck in the pop-top is made out of.(structure wise)

    • @DirtSunrise

It is an aluminum frame with maybe some carbon inserts? It's all very light weight but can't see what is between the aluminum frame since it's covered in fabric.

17:50...liar. You had other plans :) Baja is pretty sweet. The people ARE so genuinely nice and the food (as long as you know where NOT to go) is awesome...but I love Mexican food....so I am biased.
Just seeing your recent posts from Egypt, it's crazy to think of how far you've traveled. And now you're in......my guess Italy, possibly Greece?

Haha we were hoping but had no plans yet! Baja is a special place. It is crazy how far away we are now...I was thinking that exact thing as I was editing this one. (We were supposed to be in Greece but ended up in France..long story).

Whow, that looks amazing over there. Are you guys already in Europe? Stay away from the eastern part of Europe because of the war in Ukrainian. You will never know what can happen over here. Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱❤️🇺🇸

The more mild tread pattern Coopers did really well. We mapped some sand dunes in Nevada with them and I was surprised by how well they floated. The smaller diameter meant we could stay on boost longer and that helped make up for the smaller footprint. The Toyos are great tires, but so aggressive they dig, a lot. We've been airing down much further with these tires to make up for the digging.
