      I've only got it stuck once so far on this trip. 🤣 East cape won't let us leave. We're restocking for this next surge in the swell. Fly down? Check out Sampa Explore.......just a thought.

      Thanks for watching. We had heard about it a few years ago but finally took the chance driving out there......even though most reviews say high clearance and 4x4 is needed. We're glad we finally did it.

      It's 100% worth the adventure! We'd recommend staying at least 2 nights and go on a weeknight if you want the place fairly empty......at least that was our experience.

      It's only 57 miles from Calexico. We crossed in Tecate because we like the tacos but that would be put of your way.

    Nice vid; narration is pro level. I did not know this was an oasis, all organized ‘n’ stuff. Greg is getting better at navigating these treacherous roads. I think we need to reward him w a “4x4” badge for the rear of the van 😉

    • @DrifterJourney
      @DrifterJourney  2 года назад

      Best comment goes to you! Maybe we need a 4x2 badge 😉 yeah the oasis is pretty cool. But the hot springs are surprisingly hot!

    I would've been so stressed by the end of the trek in that I would've needed a ton of time decompressing in the beautiful springs. Glad you had an easier journey on the way out.
    Thanks for sharing. I'm a sucker for palm trees. ❤🌴

      Thanks for watching Aimee! The springs are a perfect way to decompress after a long, stressful drive. Luckily the drive isn't any worse because it was about the limit for our van.......but I guess that's all part of the adventure. 🙂

    Hey so is La Abeja big enough for two people at one time? it looked so small! Haha.. Thanks for any help!

    • @DrifterJourney
      @DrifterJourney  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, it is! I think all of the pools fit a minimum of two people, but small ones like La Abeja are not good for more than 2. We loved the variety and felt that the descriptions of the pools on their website were pretty accurate as far as group sizes go.

      @@DrifterJourney thanks so much for replying!!! I'm so excited to go...just wanting to make sure my ground clearance and tires do ok ! (Gonna' rent a car/small suv with 200mm ground clearance most likely)

    • @DrifterJourney
      @DrifterJourney  6 месяцев назад +1

      That could be interesting depending on your confidence and how the roads are currently. We saw a small SUV scraping its way in last time. The gals actually gave up and the workers ended bringing it in the rest of the way. They also had the workers drive them out with all their luggage in another vehicle. Fun times!
