    About 25 years ago, there was a fire that almost destroyed the palms. That is why you see the palm trunk with black on them. Thank fo the video! Beautiful!

    • @DispersedCamperMan
      @DispersedCamperMan  4 года назад +2

      I was wondering about that. I thought they had been in a fire, but I didn't see no evidence on the ground that their had been a fire. I also noticed the black scaring from the fire was only on the side of the tree facing the cannon. There was no scaring on the tree facing away from the cannon. I thought that was odd. I figured the black scarring was a natural thing with palms. Thankfully the fire didn't destroy them and they survived.

    Wow! Mark that is such a beautiful spot. I did not make it to there in 2017 while I was in that area. I must put that down on my list to go back maybe this next winter. Hopefully this virus clears out by then. I must admit sitting on my ass this Summer staying home with this virus I've gained too much weight I'm afraid I get my fat ass stuck in that Slot Canyon Coming down from the Palms. I'll need to work on losing weight this year. As usual, I certainly always enjoy all your videos. You put so much effort and quality work into to Bringing such an incredible video. Thanks so much Mark and please stay safe and healthy. There's only a very small few travel RUclipsrs that I watch. I won't name them here. But there are so many as you know. I find that most of them try their best to make quantity instead of quality. They're much too long and boring to sit through. Plus, I don't have that kind of time. I love the work you do. Thanks again.

      If you do go, you gotta check out Palm Canyon for sure. LOL That little squeeze isn't that bad. It's definitely worth the hike up. Lots of loose rocks though, it would be easy to slip and slide on that trail up. I record several hours of video while out making a video of a spot. The hard and tedious part of it is trying to chop all that video down to under 15 minutes. LOL Sometimes I just have to go for a walk and let it be for a while. LOL Thanks for watching Chief!

      Right now I have access to a campground whenever I want it. After going out dispersed camping I go to my campground for a couple of days and head back out. After January, I'll be finding a campground at whatever area of Arizona I'm at to dump, get rid of trash, and resupply with water. I'm thinking of staying here for a couple more months, then head back to Arkansas for a while.

      Dispersed Camper Man a great strategy, it is. Good time to do laundry and take a long hot shower or two. I despise cleaning toilets and showers so I prefer to use someone else’s.
      If you’ve moved on from those campgrounds and don’t feel you’re compromising your security, many might like to see what those sites are as well. I would.
      While I enjoy bacon, I hate the grease clean up. I’ve been trying sausage strips. So far I like them. Keep an eye out for them when you’re sourcing provisions.
      Safe travels!

    Do you have a video of how you put your motorcycle on the front of your truck ?
    why do you load your motorcycle on the back of your truck with the front wheel facing the passenger side ?

    • @DispersedCamperMan
      @DispersedCamperMan  4 года назад +3

      I rarely put my motorcycle on front since it covers my headlights up front. If I do put it up front, it’s the same way as the back, minus the extension bar..... I have the front wheel facing right in the rear due to the camper door being able to open. If I had the front wheel facing left, the rear door would hit my luggage on the rear.

    Nice scenery! I’m ready to do some camping in my teardrop. I am wondering with the Rona, are campers able to cross borders between California and Arizona? Are any campgrounds open in Az? Gruesome Newsome is on a power trip and everything is closed in Cali.
    I’m a boondocking wannabe but haven’t done it yet, kinda scary when alone.

    • @DispersedCamperMan
      @DispersedCamperMan  4 года назад +1

      I'm not for sure, but I think all the campground's are open in Arizona, and I haven't heard they have closed the borders. I'm pretty sure you can travel here. If you are starting out boondocking, pick some BLM land that has other campers camping on it like in this video. You can find a spot kinda close (but not to close) to other RV'ers. It might help with your fear of solo camping. After a while, you'll get use to it, and really start to enjoy it.

We would like to upgrade to a rig like yours. Thanks for your videos!

    • @DispersedCamperMan
      @DispersedCamperMan  4 года назад

      I don't like doing any type of mechanical reviews, especially on RUclips. The experts on "why I'm doing it all wrong" start coming out of the wood work and instead of adding to the conversation, they get pretty heated when they see I'm not doing it the way they do it. LOL But I will suggest taking a look at Truck Camper Magazine which is a free online magazine. They have excellent articles on truck campers and how to match them. www.truckcampermagazine.com/

    • @DispersedCamperMan
      @DispersedCamperMan  4 года назад

      Not long at all. At the start of the trail head, it’s less than a mile to the sign that says “Palms” with the arrow facing left. From the sign up to the palms you have to pick your own path. Just follow my instructions on which way to hike up the mountain for the safest route that I mention on the video.

      I keep it cracked during the day and open it up all the way at night. I place solar rope lights on the ground under the engine. These two measures help keep mice from making a home in my engine and chewing on my engines wiring. So far, so good.

    • @H2OTOYS-90
