About 25 years ago, there was a fire that almost destroyed the palms. That is why you see the palm trunk with black on them. Thank fo the video! Beautiful!
I was wondering about that. I thought they had been in a fire, but I didn't see no evidence on the ground that their had been a fire. I also noticed the black scaring from the fire was only on the side of the tree facing the cannon. There was no scaring on the tree facing away from the cannon. I thought that was odd. I figured the black scarring was a natural thing with palms. Thankfully the fire didn't destroy them and they survived.

Hello Mark, love your channel. We live in Arizona and have a spot i haven't seen you stay at. Las Cienegas. BLM land, great big area to explore. Had a question for you. What kind of drone do you use? Thanks and keep up the great videos!
Thanks JR! I haven't been that far south yet, I just might have to check Las Cienegas out someday. Lots to do and see here in Arizona. I have the Mavic Air. I really enjoy the small compactness of it. Thanks for watching!
Hey how about carrying a reusable water container instead of buying plastic bottles. I like the video. Everytime I pass the road to Palm Canyon, I don't stop because it is 118 degrees!! When I retire I will definitely go there in the late Spring.
Great video. What’s your travel strategy between camp sites? I tend to remember you saying something about real campgrounds. Happy New Years. Stay safe, well and positive.
Right now I have access to a campground whenever I want it. After going out dispersed camping I go to my campground for a couple of days and head back out. After January, I'll be finding a campground at whatever area of Arizona I'm at to dump, get rid of trash, and resupply with water. I'm thinking of staying here for a couple more months, then head back to Arkansas for a while.
Dispersed Camper Man a great strategy, it is. Good time to do laundry and take a long hot shower or two. I despise cleaning toilets and showers so I prefer to use someone else’s. If you’ve moved on from those campgrounds and don’t feel you’re compromising your security, many might like to see what those sites are as well. I would. While I enjoy bacon, I hate the grease clean up. I’ve been trying sausage strips. So far I like them. Keep an eye out for them when you’re sourcing provisions. Safe travels!
Do you have a video of how you put your motorcycle on the front of your truck ? why do you load your motorcycle on the back of your truck with the front wheel facing the passenger side ?
I rarely put my motorcycle on front since it covers my headlights up front. If I do put it up front, it’s the same way as the back, minus the extension bar..... I have the front wheel facing right in the rear due to the camper door being able to open. If I had the front wheel facing left, the rear door would hit my luggage on the rear.
Nice scenery! I’m ready to do some camping in my teardrop. I am wondering with the Rona, are campers able to cross borders between California and Arizona? Are any campgrounds open in Az? Gruesome Newsome is on a power trip and everything is closed in Cali. I’m a boondocking wannabe but haven’t done it yet, kinda scary when alone.
I'm not for sure, but I think all the campground's are open in Arizona, and I haven't heard they have closed the borders. I'm pretty sure you can travel here. If you are starting out boondocking, pick some BLM land that has other campers camping on it like in this video. You can find a spot kinda close (but not to close) to other RV'ers. It might help with your fear of solo camping. After a while, you'll get use to it, and really start to enjoy it.
We would appreciate a video review of your Ford F250, what year it is, engine, and how it handles the weight of your Lance, etc. Also, some information concerning how you carry your motorcycle and how that affects your payload capacity for the truck. We would like to upgrade to a rig like yours. Thanks for your videos!
I don't like doing any type of mechanical reviews, especially on RUclips. The experts on "why I'm doing it all wrong" start coming out of the wood work and instead of adding to the conversation, they get pretty heated when they see I'm not doing it the way they do it. LOL But I will suggest taking a look at Truck Camper Magazine which is a free online magazine. They have excellent articles on truck campers and how to match them. www.truckcampermagazine.com/
There are lots of videos on this subject already. For me, it's all the space I need. Everyone has their own space requirements, and it would be up to the individual weather or not it's for them. Thanks for watching John.
I haven't ran into any snakes. I've read they are all hibernating right now, but will emerge in the spring time, March/Aprilish. That being said, I still watch out for them. But, none so far.
Mark, Thanks for the great info. Question - could you mount your motorcycle and carrier to your front hitch? Too much risk of damage or too tall for that? I'm considering my options and would appreciate your thoughts.
Yes you can. I rarely do it since the motorcycle covers my headlights. Here is a video I did a couple of years ago discussing my front hitch. ruclips.net/video/RolPoTiWFNU/видео.html
We are headed to Quartzsite from Tennessee in two weeks. How long did it take you to hike into Palm Canyon? We boondocked at KOFA last February, but ran out of time for hiking in.
Not long at all. At the start of the trail head, it’s less than a mile to the sign that says “Palms” with the arrow facing left. From the sign up to the palms you have to pick your own path. Just follow my instructions on which way to hike up the mountain for the safest route that I mention on the video.
Yes to both. I still have a house, but it's a rental. I've been full timing in my truck camper for almost six years now. No plans in going back to sticks and bricks.
I keep it cracked during the day and open it up all the way at night. I place solar rope lights on the ground under the engine. These two measures help keep mice from making a home in my engine and chewing on my engines wiring. So far, so good.
@@H2OTOYS-90 That cayenne pepper should do the trick. I would definitely hate for rodents to chew on my wiring on my engine, I'd be stranded until I could figure out where the damage was. LOL
That would definitely be my worst nightmare. Get all packed up ready to leave. Try cranking the engine up, and nothing. Lol. That would be bad for sure. Lol.

Did a total of 13 tours over seas which five of those were in Iraq. I'm definitely glad I'm retired, and now just enjoying traveling the country. Thanks for watching!
@@DispersedCamperMan thanks for your service & reply. Love the channel!
Sounds like loads of fun. Pump your life up with happiness and take the fun when it comes. I would love to drop my kayak into the beautiful Colorado R.
@@DispersedCamperMan Thanks for your service camper dude. I am ex Navy and now almost 75. Am still active with hiking , kayaking and camping with my dog Angus. Spring is coming.....I am pumped !!
Nice video.
Many many thanks
Hey Mark! I arrive in Quartzsite in two weeks and looking for some other outlying areas. Would you mind sharing your coordinates for this spot? I'd like to take a drive to check it out later in my stay. Thanks much! Love your vids!
Hello Keeb! I share all my camping coordinates on all my videos. I post my coordinates to the camping spot in the videos description. You can copy and paste it into google maps. Also, I have a google maps link in the video description if you click on the link, it'll take you to a map of all my dispersed camping spots in every state. Click on the spot you are interested in and it'll bring up the video to that spot. Thanks for watching!
Didn’t want to use a reusable water container at that time. Hence, the plastic bottle.
Happy birthday bro!!
Thanks bro.
awesome.
Glad you think so!
Beautiful views but bet it's pretty hot there!
Great Views. It's hot there right now for sure!
Absolutely fantastic. Aren’t you afraid of snakes?
Nope. Not afraid of snakes.
Dispersed Camper Man Thanks for the advice. The new year can’t come soon enough for me!
@@DispersedCamperMan Thanks, I understand, I will take at look at Truck Camper Magazine!
That looked like an olive tree there at the beginning of trailhead?!
It kinda did...
I think that is jojoba.
Mark, great video. You are my opportunity to get out of the house. I wish I could be there with you 🎈🌹😇🕊👍🙏🍀❤️🌞🎄🎁🥂😊
Thanks Manny! Glad to have you along.
Good morning and Happy New Year,
Can you discuss the pros and cons of living in approximately 45 sqft not counting the over cab sleeping area? Thanks.
There are lots of videos on this subject already. For me, it's all the space I need. Everyone has their own space requirements, and it would be up to the individual weather or not it's for them. Thanks for watching John.
cool vid
👍
Are there any rattlesnakes ?
@@DispersedCamperMan Thanks. Had to give myself a dope-slap for not thinking about blocking the lights.
@@DispersedCamperMan, sounds great! Thanks for the directions. We are gonna make it this time.
What drone do you use?
Do you have air schocks on your truck
I do not have air shocks. I do have firestone air bags on the rear though.
Do you live in this full time or still have a sticks and bricks? just curious, thanks
Yes to both. I still have a house, but it's a rental. I've been full timing in my truck camper for almost six years now. No plans in going back to sticks and bricks.
I was just there! I loved it!
It was definitely a great spot for some BLM camping. I'll definitely be back.
With those kind of double yolk odds you better buys some lottery tickets 😀
LOL I need to.
😁😁😁😁😁
👍
Why do you keep your hood open?
I keep it cracked during the day and open it up all the way at night. I place solar rope lights on the ground under the engine. These two measures help keep mice from making a home in my engine and chewing on my engines wiring. So far, so good.
Good measure! I'm doing a rope light plus some cayenne pepper sprinkled on the ground around my Ford pickup.
@@H2OTOYS-90 That cayenne pepper should do the trick. I would definitely hate for rodents to chew on my wiring on my engine, I'd be stranded until I could figure out where the damage was. LOL
@@DispersedCamperMan Thanks for explaining that. I'll do that too!
Have you ever disperse camp in a ghost town building?
Nope.
watch out for Kangaroo Rats there - one got into my friends 5th wheel last week.
I'm always on the look out from the rats. I've got "precautions" set up while camped out in the desert. 😎
@@DispersedCamperMan great. I had a pack rat get into my engine compartment, & did $1,000 damage before I could kill the little SOB!
That would definitely be my worst nightmare. Get all packed up ready to leave. Try cranking the engine up, and nothing. Lol. That would be bad for sure. Lol.
@@DispersedCamperMan My engine started, but I had no fans, defrost, heater, or AC !
Total complete nightmare. Lol. What do you do now to stop them?
There's also a nudist area lol! (Quartzsite)
MOST nudes I have absolutely no desire to gaze upon them.
