  • These are the major legal issues to be aware of if you are starting a business in the blogging space.
    Project 24 is a product of Income School LLC. Results mentioned are not typical. The trademark “Project 24” refers to the goal of some people to create a successful business in 24 months, but is not a promise or guarantee of that success. Many online businesses fail because, like any business, it requires hard work, skill, and dedication. Before making business decisions, consult financial and legal professionals licensed in your jurisdiction. This video may contain affiliate links.

    I am an accountant and I can only agree with the gentlemen! mostly we get the same money as the clients themselves earn during the time. it is a 1: 1 exchange and not a rip off. it is really important to have a bank account just for the company! the accountant also has to find out the private expenses and will calculate it! I have clients who pay 100 $ more every month because they don't understand that they should pay for their breakfast and lunch with a different bank card! that is really stupid!

    Each country has their own separate business and tax laws, if building an online business I still would seek advice from a Barrister / Attorney and a good Tax Accountant, especially as that online business or blog starts to grow. You could do a separate video on the accounting side, just to highlight that there are some expenses that you are allowed as you highlight one of them fuel that is an allowable expense, printer ink is also another. A different account just for taxes would be a great idea.
    It is the little things that can often seem to get overlooked and forgotten about until it is too late. Again that was highlighted when Jim stated he faced a $50k tax bill. Simple measures of good business practice can go a long way between success and failure, due to waiting too late to file a tax return or overlooking something you could have claimed for which need to be done in the tax year concerned with that expense.

    I have a question, So if i don't have an LLC what does someone enter in for the amazon/affiliate earning disclaimer? On your niche blog Improvedphotography you acually state its an LLC below....
    Improve Photography LLC is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC affiliate program. This means we are financially compensated for linking to products on Amazon.com.
    We also participate in a number of other affiliate programs, such as Commission Junction, Share a Sale, Clickbank, Lumenzia, and others.
    We receive financial compensation for linking to these sites.

    I created this new channel because I wanted it to solely focus on passive income and ways to make money while working a full time job. On my other channel I've been researching for months. I have watched and subscribed to so many people, but you two are the best I've come across. I am all about being authentic and you are the first duo to make me feel this side income isn't spammy unless you make it so. The authenticity speak is what made me subscribe.
    As I continue watching your videos your content is just mind blowing. You give so much away and are able to break it down in a keep it simple, stupid, kind of way. As soon as I can in the coming weeks I will absolutely be investing in your course. I've been invited to many and paid for none. You will be my first. Thank you for putting it together because you already give us so much here that I can't imagine what's in store there.

I've got a question: If my chosen keywords (3-4 word long-tail) and several of its LSI's are only displaying results from Amazon, eBay, and various youtube videos/social media + other smaller webshops, would it be a good opportunity for me to rank or this keyword? How well do I stand against these high DA shops? Thank you very much.

    • @ikantdanz
      @ikantdanz 5 лет назад

      You can send them a Cease and Desist and Take Down notice, either via email or regular mail. Do a Whois search to find out who owns it and where the domain was registered. If they have private registration, you can contact the proxy to report it. They often host their sites with the same place they registered their domain name, so you can also report them to that company.
      I did that several years ago when someone had copied and pasted my articles on their site. I found out it was hosted by Yahoo, so I sent an email to Yahoo with links to my site and links to their plagiarized articles. By the next day, Yahoo had taken their site down. It was nothing but a parked page. Apparently, Yahoo has zero tolerance for plagiarism. lol

    • @IncomeSchool
      @IncomeSchool  6 лет назад +4

      There's not a hard line in the sand for how much is a significant amount of money. When you're making enough (and people can tell you're making enough) that you're worth trying to sue, people will find a way to try and sue you. If your sites are making you more than $100,000 per year, then maybe you should start thinking about taking legal precautions, like forming an LLC. Does that help?

    Hey guys! Thanks so much for this video! Really helpful...I am an interior design and I wanted to start a blog about design and home decor. I know that if I want to write a post about someone's house and use their photos I need to ask permission, but if I am reviewing a product like artwork or decor from retail vendors like West Elm, do I need permission to use the photos on their webpage? Thanks so much for your great advice!

    • @IncomeSchool
      @IncomeSchool  6 лет назад

      You always need permission to use photos created by other people. Many times they won't care if you're helping sell their products, but if you use it without permission you could be asked to remove it later.

    • @IncomeSchool
      @IncomeSchool  6 лет назад

      I think any business still needs to keep their books. It's up to you how you do it and how detailed you keep them, but you need to know how much you earn, what your costs are, where you're spending money, etc. For a niche site, it's pretty simple, but it's worth it to keep that information.
