I was speechless either, everything is so awesome!
Side quests weren't boring for me because the Main quest events were so epic and hit me so hard emotionally, I needed a cooldown by doing these "boring" Side quests.
They also had a rise in story and world-building quality after a certain point. I remember finishing the quest for Gaute and Otto for the first time and thinking “woah, where did *this* come from.”
I though about 75% of the side quests were pretty damn good.
Only The first 20-30 side missions are boring...From that point all of them are nice..Not in a level of Witcher 3 of course,but still

I think 75% of this game was boring to me, including sidequest. The story felt poorly written. And the characters were not that great.
I actually liked the end game side quests. It shows the impact Clive had on the realm and adds additional context to the “ending” 😏😏
You said Jill/Shive was being controlled by Clives Mother, that's not correct. She is being controlled by the Iron bloods, the enemies of Rosaria. They came in and attacked after Clives mother betrayed Rosaria and took hostages since all the fighting force was wiped out.

@TannerJaye I completely understand. That is one thing I wish oyger games did, is adoot yhe FF16 lore tracker because a lot of games get very confusing and it is a task to keep track of all the characters and their relationships.

I have never played any of the final fantasy games so this is like foreign language to me
Joshua was barely alive after the Ifrit/Phoenix fight, and the Undying, a sort of secret Rotarian group dedicated to protecting the Phoenix found him and provided medical treatment, so that’s why he is still alive

Man this game is such top tier you can tell this is a good game with a good trophy list, I love what they did with the combat since FF7, I really wasn't a fan of the turn base.
Dont know if this was answered, but I believe Joshua survived due to a combination of the help of the undying(the loyal followers of the Phoenix in tabor) and his regenerative healing powers due to being the Phoenix
I’m glad to watch a new TannerJaye video, always makes my day and gets me interested in games like Skyrim which I never thought I would enjoy but I am loving it so thanks Tanner for giving me this amazing experience.

Today I finished everything else leaving only max out abilities and finish on final fantasy difficulty, to be honest the Fenix trial was really hard (finished it with less than 1 sec left)

I had a blast playing FF16, but damn was the story dark as hell.
It was pretty dark
All side quests are interesting in the "lore" way. Some of em may be boring but I think it's rewarding us by giving us more context or deep diving into the character.
Always chasing the hardest platinums, much respect. Youve got me going back to so many games ans into new ones, keep grinding 💪
this game has the easiest platinum in the whole franchise though.

The side quest are extensive and take awhile but you can see how you have affected the entire world and people. They are also how you get the ability to make best weapons and armor in the game.
But yeah they are slow slow burns and feel annoying but the endgame ones are a little touching

Even though I have 81hrs into the game so far, this was such a blast to watch! Totally agree with you tho, I did not expect this game to be so easy, but that doesn't take away any of the mind blowing fun for me!
I saw you used the Berserker ring for a bit, probs one of my favorite attributes in this game. Just so satisfying🔥 and yes totally agree with you again, the Eikon boss fights are on a whole other level, such and amazing visual show. And every big/boss/Eikon fight is just so satisfying.
Even if they had cut the dialog in the side missions in half, it would still be soooo much🤣
Definitely GOTY for me so far, never in a million yrs I thought I would say that about a FF game!

This was the first mainline FF game I’ve beaten since 12. I really enjoyed it, the music and the epicness was outstanding. I played on a Sony OLED with a Sony theater sound system. OMG that made it so much crazier. The rumbling going on during those boss battles with the epic chants going on was totally something to be experienced.
Just acquired the plat and I wholeheartedly agree a straight run playthrough for the trophy. Game did not disappoint for me 🤙🏿
Getting into final fantasy for the first time bought it this morning and I'm 7hrs in. Plus the game is beautiful and so badass. I underestimated this series.
The entire first half of the game just gave me the best vibes that come from Game of Thrones + Attack on Titan, really glad they stuck with the themes they did

I definitely enjoyed this game more than 15. Its story and cinematic battles really makes me glad i bought a PS5 just gor this game. As a side note, i found it VERY helpful to go for the Eikon ability trophies as soon as you have that Eikon. It helps you focus on the other trophies but also helps you prepare for the Cronoliths as youll be more familiar with the abilities. Maxing out your AP can also be done early to help you equip whatever abilities you want.
Man, I finally got the Crash Trilogy platinum yesterday and I’ve never been so damn happy! I might go for either Sifu or Bramble platinum next 😬

I just platinumed this 2 days ago and i loved every moment of it the only thing i didn't do was hit level 100 i did every side quest and hunt in both playthroughs and only hit 89 since i didn't use the xp boost stuff

This game's soundtrack made me transcend the heavens.
I love how the side quests are more than just side missions that give little to nothing. They feel more like main story off-branch missions bc they add so much to the world, and to the story. And as for the rewards, ur get new recipes, improved heals, and even a mount.

nice work. i love this game loads and grtting close to platting it.
on terms of difficulty, i have thought a lot about this and talked with loads of people both having a really easy time with it and those having difficulties.
it’s not so much that the enemies are too easy, it’s thats Clive is too strong. the S rank enemies for example are really strong and have tones of AoE and phases where grtting hits in is real hard… but he has so much power even not counting the eikon abilities. the dodge alone makes him over powered, if you can dodge everything then nothing matters. you will never die. even if clive was put into devil may cry 5 hell or hell mode with only pheonix and garuda, no ultimate skills either like flames of rebirth, he would decimate everything with just his dodge counter
the only way the combat would be “hard” is he’s intentionally nerfed or limited. and no one would like that. so while the game being “easy” is disappointing to me, i am glad it is because the character you use is so strong, and not that everything is basically worthless.

The Side Quests kill the tension too much. I'd get done with something really exciting and there's 3 more green bubbles around my hideout. It happened so often and it was always in 3s. Really kills the mood. The rest of the game was stellar, but they could have cut down how many side quests this game has.

Truly did enjoy the game. Will definitely be playing it again and getting the DLC. I had a few issues: Side quests were so boring to me. After I did 15 or so and saw they were fetch quests without substance, I skipped them. Never cared or saw the point in going after trophies either. Loved the political intrigue, but they fumbled that ball toward the latter half of the game. It could've been so much greater. They initially set Annabelle up to be a main villian but reduced her to a side character you never had any interaction with. Music was excellent! Loved the characters and villians. Loved the action. Not much by way of rpg elements or strategy. Wish I could play as other characters. This game is solid, though not without its flaws.
I came into FF16 a bit hesitant because even though I'm a big fan of the series (hence my name) I'm not particularly good (I mean 💩💩) at action games and was disappointed by 15.
Ended up having an absolute blast! Not perfect, but absolutely worth all the time I put into it. Still need to do NG+.
It's pretty insane especially all the crazy boss fights
