A lot of questions about how I'm playing in third person. If you have the DLC you can play in third person. I had played so many times in 1st person I decided to switch it up for the video. Hope that clears it up!

It's funny how Mirranda (as Mia) wasn't in the least bit surprised about the bedtime story detailing her entire plan. Or why she spent so long playing the role instead of just taking Rose from day one.

Maybe she wanted to sleep with Ethan first before leaving. Or maybe just needed more time to see roses compatibility. I believe the first one.

Re7 and village are super inspired by the Evil Dead
I really love Biohazard for its return to the series roots and the focus on mostly survival horror, but I love Village more due to its inspiration from Evil Dead and 4. I like set pieces and enemy variety, but I do wish the game was a bit harder and had less cutscenes.
I had the most trouble getting the S ranks on Mercenaries, and it was mostly because I found it so tedious and unfun, especially on the hard levels. I had all the other trophies and just couldn't be bothered to finish that one until the DLC came out. Lady D and Chris made that mode way more fun lmao. It's really fun watching you get all these trophies and the ordeals you had to go through to get them!

I couldn't get above a C with Ethan, I tried so many times. Just gave up lol. Probably gonna give it another shot soon, since everyone says playing Chris makes it easier.

I gave up on village platinum cuz of mercenaries, I wasn’t having fun getting a trophy and I have a rule where if I don’t have fun getting a plat, then I won’t go for it
I got SSS on Mercenaries with Ethan on every map, it isn't that hard. You just need to learn the lay of the land and basically a single full combo run in every map and you already have SS. It looks so easy with DLC characters, I don't see the point in doing it with them tbh.
The DLC really made Mercenaries a breeze, getting the trophy with just Ethan was hell
The most annoying trophy was to defeat Angie the doll under a time limit as her hiding place would change and then the cut scene counted towards the time too.
Which trophy was that??

Village of Shadows is actually pretty easy as long as you've practiced by beating the game a few times. The only parts I had a particularly difficult time with were Mutated Heisenberg (first phase, the second phase was easy with the infinite magnum lol) and the last half of Chris's segment. Otherwise VoS was super fun and I would recommend it to fans of RE Village.

That last part playing as Chris was damn hard. Particularly when you have to laser the megamycete whilst taking on waves of Lycans lol
@@megastack95on my VOS play, I was able to have 1 wave not spawn in by going directly right to the other house. I got 2 laser shots off without seeing a single lycan
7:56 Lady D being a dragon is a callback to Dracula who is name mean Son of the Dragon. her 3 daughter is also a callback to the 3 wifes of Dracula have as vampire in the novel. and the breaking the window is also one of the way the protagonist defeat some of the wives of Dracula in the novel.

@@TannerJaye Also fun is that Moreau is a callback to The Island of Doctor Moreau, the 1896 HG Wells novel; where the protagonist finds himself on an island where the titular doctor cuts people open and surgically combines them with animals. Which makes sense for the most obviously hybridized character. I believe Donna is also referencing something, and Heisenberg is sort of a frankenstein character with his scientific control of life and death with electricity? All less obvious. And you have more layers to each of the characters from other things, because horror can always be read as coding things or referencing things in a variety of ways. Really fun game as a horror fan and a literature nerd!

Heisenberg is my favorite boss of the game, and his factory level is my favorite, I had a real blast fighting him as I did not expect it, and that was when I knew this was one of my favorite videos games ever
I absolutely loved the two most recent resident evils they are the only games i have ever tried to speedrun because they were fun enough to where it didnt get boring doing basically the same things every time

As someone who platinumed this game myself, this was my favorite game to platinum by far. Eventually i knew the game in and out, where everything was located and what enemies spawn where. Just the mercenaries was hard for me till i got myself the DLC pack to do it. Made it a lot easier and eventually got me the platinum.
Not long after I platinumed this game myself I found your channel and was eagerly waiting for this one!
Funnily enough I also missed the knife only run trophy on my second playthrough cuz I accidentally shot Miranda. In mercenaries Castle I and Castle II made me go a little insane but I've pushed through. Great video!

Getting purely the trophies is easy but getting the other in-game challenges were so hard.
Especially getting SSS rank on every level and every character on Mercenaries
I kinda wish you did that too because it definitely gives Resident Evil Village more fun challenges
That's definitely a challenge! The video is only about getting the trophies tho so I skip doing all that to save my self time to make more videos
@@TannerJaye it actually took me a whole week of nonstop playing just to get SSS rank on all stages with all the characters. It was very challenging but extremely fun. Check out “Neon Slice” on youtube for helpful guides if you ever plan to do it yourself!

Amazing work as always! Actually a few months back, before the DLC released, I got to 100% for Village on steam. But literally the next day they added some strange placeholder achievements for the DLC, months before it had even released, which ruined my 100% lol, but I have since gotten it back!

I enjoyed platinuming this one with the exception of the first phase of the Heisenberg boss on VoS, which kicked my behind, and the boring mercenaries mode, which apparently I should have just waited until the DLC to complete 😂
Edit: it also feels like it takes forever to kill the werewolf during Chris's section with just the knife.
I can't believe the game is already in the years old time flies way to fast dude,
I finally got around to play the game myself recently and I have to say I found the knife only run pretty easy compared to other things in this game or other Resident Evil games. The only thing that was hard or rather REALLY annoyed me was Miranda, because it's often hard to hit hard.
The Chris section was also a bit more annoying, but the rest wasn't that big of a deal if you have the good knife.
That being said, Village of Shadows was no joke and Mercenaries took some time to practice too, but I was fortunate enough to have the DLC characters, so it was mostly learning where enemies are than not die, the rest was just Chokoslam galore. It's quite obscene that Lady D can slam almost everyone and the amount of damage her Vanity does is quite obscene too.
Edit: Uhh, that missed knife only trophy stings. I had the same happen, but I was lucky enough that I messed up at Miranda and her big ball of terror.
Still had to do two knfe runs, because I got both PS4 and PS5 platinums and the only trophies that I was able to autopop were the ones with the goat.
I fell asleep to this video by accident, and loop video was on. When I woke up I’m like “wait I saw this part already”

@@TannerJaye that’s a great idea! even though i think it would be pretty obvious cause everyone is playing it atm.. would recommend a older one, like bloodborne or a dark souls, they’re fun and at the same time more challenging than elden ring. (and they also have dlcs, which makes it even better)

the mercenaries mode was difficult without the DLC characters, which it was very anoying for me, specially the factory that took a day or two to learn it, other than that i also enjoyed the plat on this one.
Hardest trophys are "beat the game on village of shadows" "get atleast s or higher in mercenaris" and "beat the game with only the knife" if you have lz answerer is easy tho and "have 777, 7,777 or 77,777 lei in your possesion"

the mercenaries challenges were by far the most diffuclt thing to do in any resident evil game, after 70 hours of playtime i finally got the platnium 😪

Starting my ps5 play thru this morning after work
Thankfully I don’t have two girlfriends and a wife to distract me
I legit spent a whole weekend home alone just trying to platinum this game I completed 90% in the first day but the second day I had to keep taking breaks from the game cause I was so mad trying to get s tier on all mercenaries it eventually took about 12 hours if I knew I could use dlc characters I would still have some sanity
