Just watched your video in the no-can-tell wilderness where the mosquitoes were horrendous. For this reason I carry a tiny squirt tube of Deet in my possibilities bag.
I picked up 4 of the Eberlestock pouches in every size and will buy more when they come on sale, like the ones I purchased. FANTASTIC little pouches. They actually come in small, medium, large, and XL now. The XL and mediums are my fav. I can throw the medium in the XL and small inside the medium to really sort things like a russian doll.
Great video! Lots of useful tidbits, very similar to mine. The only thing I have in mine that’s far different is a RATS tourniquet. It may not be as good as a CAT, but it’s light and small.
Thanks! I got a fancy new camera and wireless mic... still haven't quite figured out the audio yet! Tourniquet is probably a should have. I've dabbled with the idea of carrying one on my bino harness. I'll have to check out the RATS. Light and small is perfect!
Hey, love your stuff! I really like these gear videos. Any advice for a group of guys first time going on a small overnight hike to fish a lake? First hurdle so far is to find a weekend we can all go, but other than that, I'm not sure how to organize and communicate just how to prepare. We've only ever car camped. Gear is one thing, expectations is another.
Thanks! That's a loaded question my friend 😆 As far as gear, just make sure you got the basics. Sleeping bag, tent, sleeping pad, pillow, water, food. For entry level backpacking, I generally recommend people focus on comfort. If your first few trips out are super uncomfortable, you're less likely to keep going!
I'm usually like, pack your own shit, I don't sleep in the same tent with other men, but I think I might be able to deal with this guy for a few days, lol.

Thanks! Similar to what I carry. I like your Eberlestock pouch and just ordered one to check it out.
Nice! It's a great little lightweight pouch. Enjoy 😁

Yeah I'm pretty cool! We should still bring our own tents though 😂
