Oh my god! I was wondering and worried where Chef Rego disappeared (as he hasn't posted anything on his channel in ages) and was elated to see this episode and how well and healthy he is looking! Thank you Chef Rego for truly putting Goan cuisine on the map, and thank you Chef Brar for bringing us this episode and for your humility towards this living legend ❤
I still remember my days working with chef rego, Chef diago. That flower cutting with cucumber. Chef rego you are my god learnt so many things from you.
This is a very nice episode. Among all the episodes this is most beautiful one. Ranveer your respect n decency towards Chef, makes the episode more beautiful ❤️. The Grandmaster chef is so kind and humble 🙏.
You also do the same....what a feel...i never learnt any recipe from ranveer....i only see how he smiles and his expressions...not able to control my eyes...i can feel he is a good soul....seeing his cooking shows since he was young....best show is TODDY SHOP food experience where toddy is served instead of water
A lot of people forget that Chef Rego’s son was a chef at the Taj like him but was unfortunately shot by the terrorists in the 26/11 attack on Mumbai Taj.. RIP Boris Do Rego.. You made your dad proud..
This video really bring tears in my eyes. i wanted to be a chef but now i am a software engineer. o god that story and that heart touching music, direct touched my heart. yeah i cook usually but only in home for 2 people. love u great chefs from core and bottom of heart.
Blessed to have worked with Chef Rego and Chef Braganza at The Taj Goa in the 90's. Learned so much from him. I was in the bakery. He is a living legend of the Goan cuisine. The commissary at the Taj used to make crusty Goan breads with toddy in the wood fired oven.😊
Have been watching EPIC for a while now. This channel truly reinforces my belief that food unites. If at all a story has to be told, there's no language better than food. In this episode, the brilliance in Chef Rego's food shines through the humility and humbleness. it is so worthwhile listening to the stories that punctuate the preparations between a great teacher and his student. Chef Brar & everyone at EPIC, we need these beautiful moments that you so well capture from the diverse cauldron that our nation is. Bon apetit!
Today i know that who is chef rago by reading comments as i am today generation and i am really happu to discover a new chef like my fvrt is chef ranvir but how he respect chef rago i think mujhy b seehkna h find his chennel and subscribe and i hope chef rago comes with new recpies and vegetable cutting skills in his youtube chaanel
First off all love you so much . I don’t know what I should say you brother, chef or sir. But you are great. I don’t know whether you will see this or not. Reply or not. Even after that I am writing this to you. I am 37 year Game director working in JAKARTA. And when I started leaving alone here. I started watching your Epic channel and food video from RUclips. And the way you narrate the food story , it is marvellous. Can you please suggest some book which I can learn and know these story about traditional food story. How it came and originated. Thank you so much and Happy Navaratri
Your recipes are always my first choice. Tell me where I can get the copper cooking utensils, please. You prepare most of your recipes in copper pots. I would be very grateful if you could forward the link to me.
Chef Rego is top notch, but that is not caldo verde. Kale, water/chicken broth, onion, garlic, potatoes, and chouriço or linguiça (sausage). Salt/pepper. This is like making paella and calling it biryani.
He doesn’t know to speak Hindi. Whatever little he knew he spoke. In Goa we don’t speak Hindi, we speak Konkani, if he speaks in Konkani you won’t understand that’s why he spoke English.

I like how Mr Ranveer behaved liked a fan boy in front of a legend .
This says a lot about the kind of person he is
Chef Rego is so humble and during plating sheer craft and no extra showoff of throwing food on the plate in the name of garnish

Those closing statement from Brar was really emotional... that's y I love his video so much.
The fact that chef Ranveer shows so much respect, being so lowkey in front of his teacher made my day. If this is scripted, then it is a good script.

Yes it’s true . They ordered his son to cook something for them at gun point and then shot and killed him.
Stop this plz.!
