I was one of about 20 show photographers for the last show thanks to Bob and it was so worth the rain. I've been a fan since I first heard of them while I was stationed in Italy in 1985. Ronnie did an awesome job as did the rest of the band. I'm still going through my photos from the show, but it was awesome - Thank you
It was an amazing show. 15,000 out in the rain to say goodbye. Now that's respect!

I was lucky to see and meet the band in 1987 at Hammerjacks. So many years later Kix seems more like a band of superheroes to me.

By band opened up for them about 5 times. Back to when they were the Shoes & Generators.
They are one of the best bands on the planet.
Period.
They made all of us better.
I was at the Final show! It was Amazing to see Ronnie and Brad on stage playing all together. The band sounded better than ever! They went out on Top and were on Fire!! Thank you #KIXBand for 45 years of kick ass R~N~R!!

I was lucky enough to live by Hammerjacks as a teen. Love KIX! First Kix album is my favorite. My older brother bought it for me when I was 11 years old and I haven’t stopped listening to it yet. Last show at Merriweather was very emotional. Most of my family and friends were there. Still reminiscing… Thanks Ronnie & Brian for this interview, and for such great music throughout the years 🤘🏼💕

I remember the first time i saw Kix playing live on RUclips. It was around 2016 and it was the Baltimore 2012 gig. I was hooked after that and started learning the guitar parts immediately. My dad used to play in a band with Jimmy Chalfant when they were in high school. The band was called Fire and Rain, so i've know who Jimmy was all my life, but never checked out Kix until that concert dvd. "Don't Close Your Eyes" was the only song i had heard up until digging deeper. God bless all of you and i wish you the best. Thank you for the music, etc.
I used to stand in line for 1/2 hr to an hour outside The Seagull Inn when they were the Shooze then the Generators and finally Kix. They used to imitate AC/DC and Suzi Quatro and then it was all originals.
I first heard these guys at the 11th Frame Lounge in west virginia...........they were unbelievable and could hang with anybody.......

These guys just don’t know🤘 Breakfast club was the movie and Midnight Dynamite was the soundtrack for some of the very best fast times at ridgemont high memories i have😊 Only 2 bands have ever stood up to the “ You have seen nothing until you see them live” line. FN KIX 🤘 !!!! M3 was KIXFEST for many of us🤘The very best of times for both me and my brother❤. The other killer band live was SLAYER😊 I am really really sad😂 to admit that I actually stole the Midnight cassette from the book store at PHILLIPS EXETER ACADEMY in 1985. The best crime I ever committed😊
I was there. HAD to be there or I would have regretted it for the rest of my life. Saw them so many times at Hammerjacks. So sad that there won't be anymore Kix shows.
Thank you guys so much for the decades of pure rocking mayhem! Saw you for the first time back at the Metron in Harrisburg my senior year in HS in 82 and I was hooked on your live shows! Still have my deflated red balloon from that show! Enjoyed shows at the York fair, Hammerjacks, Reading, and met you back stage in CT at Rosalini’s where there was hardly anyone there which I couldn’t believe! Thanks for the autographs that night! My Prized possession! Hail to the goddamn Kix band! Great memories and will miss you boys and will keep cranking Kix!

You hear the phrase underated all the time and it's overused but KIX deserved far more success and fame that they got, easily one of the best rock bands in the last 40 years.
The Steve Whitman solo album is cool as well
I think the two tracks on ''Midnight Dynamite'' produced by Keith Lentin from Spider are the best on the lp and sound spot on too

I almost forgot that my dad has a story about Donnie Purnell ratting him out for smoking a cigarette at school one time. Donnie's dad was the principal i guess and Donnie is a couple years older than my dad. They are from Waynesboro, PA which is in Franklin County. Jimmy Chalfant is from there too. Dad moved to Myrtle Beach in 1983 and i was born here in 1987 and we are still here, sadly...LOL!

Ronnie and Brian were/are the Keith Richards and Ron Wood of my childhood.

Like Beau Hill or not he delivered the goods. And Beau is wrong in his assessment of Ronnie and Brian, what they played was perfect for KIX. Warren is a beast but that wasn't the kind of playing that belonged in KIX.
Well, I'm a "wheetily deedily" player - I shred, but KIX is one of the tightest, tastiest bands of all time. Tight - like vacuum packed pocket. Who cares. Virtuosity also comes from taste, tightness and composition.
How big of a prick must Donnie be to not be able to get along with these guys? They're probably the nicest people on the planet
