If you don't want to use a block for your expression volume, just assign the volume parameter in an 'always on' block like the amp or a compressor to your expression pedal, give it a min value of around -18dB, because if you go 0% to 100%, the smallest variation in the position of the exp pedal will be huge.
Hey, man! I found a way to use the expression pedals without adding a specific block. You have to use Stomp's Learn function. You can set both volume and effects: Wah and pitch, for example.
@@adg2011mm you set a Midi value on the exoression pedal from the Behringer and set this pedal to control the volume at the end of your chain (in HX). You can acess this volume true the circle at the end of the chain. The problem with this method is that you need to set this for every pre-set you have. But it works.
Need help with my Line-6 POD HD500X and FCB1010, please. I have searched for a long time and your function of SNAP Shot may be the nearest way. I used my FCB1010 with Yamaha-DG80 many years ago. Those presets listed with consecutive number so it was not hard. The HD500X uses 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D then 2A......all the way to 16D. It has footswitch but the View of Big Letter will not automatically show. I have to bend down and use finger to tap the button. Very hard to do with guitar on my neck. I tried to download software FCB1010 Manager or Edit but have problem with Beringer Firmware still = "Unknown". Right now I can use the FCB1010 pedal 1-5 & 6-10 with Up-Down and activate about 20-30 Snapshots or Presets. But they are not in proper sequenes plus the errors of wrong amp, filters and mixtures. Thanks, PS: I can use just 1 line of Midi Cable Out from FCB1010 to HD500X in? I'm still strucggling with full Midid conn between PC and FCB1010.
FCB1010 with hx stomp Set midi channel to 1 on HX and FCB Expression Pedals Bank 00 (or whatever u want) Hit the FS you want to program Hold DOWN button 3 sec hit up button (confirms edit mode) Need ONLY fs 8&9 with solid led (press and hold them to get there) press 8 so it blinks press up to confirm select CC number. Can be whatever you want (need to set it on helix) press up to confirm Set low value of 00. press up to confirm press 9 so it blinks press up to confirm select the CC number you already set press up to confirm Set High value of 127 (high and low can be swapped to reverse it) press up to confirm hold down to save and exit edit mode.
Jesus, this thing looks like a massive pain in the arse! Can it send multiple messages per pedal? Ideally, I'm looking for something that will control my guitar fx and a DMX controller *simultaneously*, ie when I hit pedal 1 the distortion kicks in and the stage lights change, for example. Is that doable on this?
It's not bad once you understand what is going on...There is a learning curve, but the satisfaction of getting it to work the way that I wanted was worth it for me. I no longer have the FCB1010 or the HX Stomp, so I can't directly answer your questions from experience, but based on what I've read, it does look like the FCB1010 should be able to handle sending multiple MIDI commands at once.
I've watched 15 videos on the FCB1010 but yours is the first to give me the information I am looking for - thanks
I'm glad to hear that this video has helped you out!

you kind of use the output from the HX as a volume pedal
