You’ll quickly learn that K-pop isn’t actually a genre. There are many groups that cover a wide range of genres. Hip-hop, pop, trap, EDM, house, r&b, rock, and sometimes even metal. My favorite ATEEZ title track is Halazia, so try giving that one a listen. It’s the kind of song that can only come out of K-pop because of the genre mixing and highly conceptual theatrics.
This was interesting hearing a first time reactor to Ateez based off Work. They are soooo different than this funny / fun MV. I am also a fan of BTS and no group has caught me like Ateez. Their production and talent is INSANE and they had to fight for every step up the ladder and are still climbing. They say they treat every performance like their last and it shows. Ateez is known for their incredible live performances and deep discography. They were the first K-pop boy group to play Coachella and will be the first K-pop group to headline at Mawazine which is one of the largest music festivals in the world boasting of over 2 million attendees. They are 8 top notch performers with amazing vocals, raps, and performance skills. Dance practices and live stages are popular. Also, they just were featured on Killing Voice two days ago… which showcases their vocal abilities. They were the first 4th Gen K-pop boy group to be featured. Jongho, which is the one nailing the high notes, is widely proclaimed by critics to be the best vocalist of the fourth generation of K-pop. Ateez is also known for both their non-standard song flows including anti-drops and multiple layers bridges and choruses. Many of their songs are like anthems. They have a nickname as the ‘last 30 second idols’ due to their tendency to have explosive ending to their songs. I have no idea what appeals to you guys, but here are some suggestions based on type: MY favorites that are ‘signature’ Ateez: Guerrilla, Halazia, The Real, Utopia (During the work day, I tend to listen to the Ateez b-sides since their title tracks are mostly bangers. For your personal listening pleasure, I suggest the my three favorite synth wave based tracks: Cyberpunk, Take Me Home, and Silverlight. There are no MVs, but there are live performances of all. Think if Muse and The Weeknd had a Korean love child.) Debut - Pirate King and Treasure (double title tracks) Epic - Answer, Halazia, Not Okay, Utopia Mid tempo - Inception, Say My Name, Horizon Ballads - Turbulence, Everything (unit song with just main vocalist Jongho), Empty Box Bangers - Wonderland, Guerrilla, Fireworks, MATZ (unit song with Hongjoong and Seonghwa only), Bouncy, Hala Hala, Wake Up Sexy - Deja Vu, IT’s You (unit song with only San, Yeosang, and Wooyoung), Cyberpunk (no MV, but there are some amazing fancams out there) Bright - Eternal Sunshine, Aurora
Ateez are really a versatile and creative group. They have a unique concept. Listening kpop since 2006 It's for me the best kpop group i've ever seen. And it's incredible how far they are coming from a very small company.
99% percent of kpop has rappers and vocalists together and is always a mix of genres, especially hip hop, trap, r&b, pop, EDM and rock. There's some great r&b songs in kpop!!!
I hope you will react to Ateez killing voice too. It's like a concert session, you will see they do a lot of genre and different style and totally nailed it.
Please react to Ateez Killing Voice. Its like a live studio performance of a whole compilation of their songs. Youre going to see many different styles of their songs. Their name comes from "A teenager Z" or can mean A to Z. The message of their songs was targeted to the younger audience regarding struggles teenagers face in this society and they wanted to put out music to address that. You do need to understand that "Kpop" is 1 umbrella with many different genres underneath.
Haha such a wild song to be introduced to Ateez. React to their dingo killing voice for a great intro into their range of songs and they have amazing live vocals! They have some very strong concepts from the previous album series (The World series) like Guerilla (rock/metal vibes) whereas this was very much a song to be fun and a little goofy as a new chapter moving on from that series.
You need to see their killing voice performance and music videos for Crazy Form, Bouncy and Guerilla. ATEEZ isn’t an easy and they are seen a dark horse in kpop being that they are from a small company. Any comparison to other groups is futile because they are truly one of a kind. They’ve been in the game for almost 6 years and their music still sounds fresh because they don’t compromise their sound to fit current trends. Members HongJoong and Mingi participate in the composing, arrangement, producing and writing their songs along with their in house production team. The members also have unit performances that you should check out too. There’s MATZ (hip hop)by the two oldest members, HongJoong and Seonghwa. ITs You (R&B)by Yeosang, San and Mingi. Youth (R&B) Mingi and Yunho and Everything (ballad) by Jongho. Also Jongho is the best singer in this current generation of Kpop and he’s sang for many Korean drama soundtracks.
one thing ive noticed from people that react to new groups after first getting introduced to kpop from bts is that people automatically start comparing other groups to bts and it can become very problematic and controversial real quickly. i think if this wasnt ypur cup of tea fair enough but basing off your opinions off a group that has become so westernized with their sound to appeal to the western public like bts has its real unfair to hold that same standard to groups who just do kpop like it was originally made to be. thats why if you react to kpop make sure you react with an open mind and not just for clicks and views like you would get from a group like bts. ateez's whole concept and lore is so much more than what you downplayed to as just "throwing cultural things together". thats the difference between real music enjoyers and people like yall who only do it for views... this reaction left a real sour taste in my mouth to say the least but anyways i digress.
Their name comes from "A teenager Z" or can mean A to Z. The message of their songs was targeted to the younger audience regarding struggles teenagers face in this society and they wanted to put out music to address that.
I've watched ateez mv for work for the first time and i didn't no wat I was expecting but what i expected wasn't wat it was. All I have to say is omfg Choi San (he is one of my 3 biases and my ult). Alao I've heard only 5 seconds of this song and I love it already, I love the beat, the vocals and the raps. Mingi is amazing as ever when I comes to rapping and Seonghwa ong the visuals of him I love. I love the mv especially San (iykyk) and I'm just in love with it all as its such a good song and must be my fav from their comeback
It's a fun song for Ateez, you're right.. but reacting just first time to Ateez on their Work mv is not enough to know how talented this group is. And besides they come from a very small company not like BTS (one of 4 big companies) to be where they are today!. Well done Ateez 🎉
Ateez are my ult group, but I have to correct something - BTS is not from a big company; they MADE that company big. BTS's and Ateez's beginnings are actually very similar.
They have so many videos this one to be your intro to Ateez can be off putting lol but if you watch Guerilla, Wonderland, Hala Hala, Halazia - they can give you a better idea of what they do!
Ateez doesn’t follow a template and they don’t sound like a typical kpop group. Their creativity and level of talent is unlike any other group out there. I can say this wouldn’t be the song I would recommend for someone checking out Ateez for the first time. It’s great, and as an adult female (not a 15 year old girl) who has adult children, I love this song but it isn’t my favorite. You should watch a few more with an open mind. Know that they won’t and shouldn’t sound like your fav but they’re amazing and worth the listen/watch.
I love *ATEEZ.* I love their songs/tracks. I love their singing, rapping and dancing. They are great performers. Their stage presence is phenomenal. Their discography is diverse. Their MVs are cool. Their vocals are insane. Their concept is interesting. Their MVs are mysterious. I love *Dreamcatcher.* I love their tracks/songs. Their concept is amazing. Their discography is top-tier. Their MVs are awesome. I love *(G)I-DLE.* I really love their stage presence. I love their songs/tracks. Their discography is diverse. They can nail any concept. Their Music Videos are awesome. I love *EVERGLOW.* Their songs/tracks are awesome. I love their singing, rapping and dancing. Their title tracks are top-tier. Their MVs are insane. I love *KISS OF LIFE.* Their music is top-tier. Their songs/tracks are really good. Their concept is cool. Their storyline is something else. Their vocals are great. Julie's rapping is impressive. Their dancing is great. Their Music Videos/MVs are intriguing. I love *ITZY.* I love their music. I love their songs/tracks. They are so versatile. Their love their rapping, dancing and singing. Their M/Vs or Music Videos are incredible. I like *BABYMONSTER.* Their rapping is cool. Their vocals are phenomenal. Their dancing is amazing. Their M/Vs are top-tier. RORA, AHYEON and RAMI are my favorite members in the group.

HEY, if you want to listen to some Solo Artists, and the like,, try: JEESI, CL (although she once was in a group before; 2NE1), Taeyang (Shinee), and and my third lady favorite BiBimaking some interestingly profound and some controversial, social, Political etc. issues), and some. Just to name a few😊
Guy on the right killed the vibe for no reason. Like just chill and vibe to it idk how much you can dislike a song just cause it’s a hiphop track which ain’t too common in kpop. Y’all want to watch all the same sh1t and can’t like something different? Like since when is breaking from the norm bad. I’m usually all for opinions but that was a lame take I didn’t get the point
Please react more, one video a week is not enough for me, I really like that you react honestly and not like the rest of the reactionaries. Please make a reaction to BTS - "Black swan (+ intro) Permission To Dance Tour - stage mix 2021" is one of the iconic performances, thank you :)
Do some reaction from Ppop(Filipino Idol Groups) too please. BGYO my fave(they're not that Big like other KPop groups but I just like them and their music). BGYO Patintero MV please.
WORK is the title and it currently trending, cut them some slack. You can recommend to watch the other music videos so that they can get an idea of how talented Ateez is despite the genre.
you guys could have also done their killing voice to showcase their talents
