Im now realizing that if I were ever to start crafting, collaging would be my favorite thing to do. Just watching you do it kind of awakens my long lost inner child☺️ Actually, come to think of it, this would be a fantastic activity for a child, or to do with a child. Just plunk him/her/them down at the table with a bunch of paper scraps, or even fabric scraps, and glue, and it would keep them quiet for hours, while creating their master pieces! Older children might create houses with roofs, a flower garden and trees, a whole village!

Same thing with my own kids - I can’t wrap my head around the fact that they’re now considered middle aged, to me they’re still kids. I taught them to knit when they were little (including my son), but I’m afraid it didn’t catch on much. Maybe glue books would have worked better.
I love that master board. I love Chapter One papers. Rained like crazy all day yesterday but now we got blue skies with fluffy white clouds, but the rain is supposed to be coming back here in the valley, and snow up in the mountains. They’re predicting 12 feet of snow. As soon as the weather clears up sometime during the week I want go up the hill and take some pictures of the snow. I like it when it’s hanging on all the pine trees.
Good morning my dear friend, yesterday was such a beautiful sunny, warm clear day. It felt just like Spring. It was nice to see the snow melting away. But I feel that unless we get enough rain during Spring we could be having another summer of forest fires. We need to pray 🙏 Like I said yesterday was a beautiful sunny day the only bump was getting my mammogram done. You’d think with the advancements in technology they would come up with a machine that didn’t need to squish our boobies. Now prays said and fingers crossed that the results will be good ( no cancer ) I have had cancer three times, breast cancer, kidney and thyroid cancer and I am still alive to talk about it. I am truly blessed and grateful. I want to thank you for your support. You are a blessing and dear friend. I enjoyed today’s video. Who doesn’t like Scrappy Saturday’s. I think that you are so amazing and thoughtful to put in all the time that you do so we have videos every day of the week. Thank you 🙏 I hope that you and Mike are having a wonderful weekend. I like collaging individual pieces 👍. Now all they need is a focal point & that can be added when you are making a journal using pieces from the kits. So I’d put them in my finished ephemera box.

I’ve done all sorts of crafts my whole life, sewing, crocheting, embroidery, decoupage, etc. About 12 years ago, I started doing mixed media art. Everything from mail art, art journal pages to canvases. Then I discovered journal making. I love it, because you can include all sorts of crafty endeavors within journals! ❤

What is the ephemera you are using printed on, if not cardstock. I am getting ready to start my own master collage book and was going to bits of cardstock... ugh... too thick? makes me nervous now. LOL
If I’m printing specifically for collage I use cheap copy paper. But since the Chapter One Paper digitals were for a journal, they are on 26 lb matte photo paper from Red River Paper Co. I use the Red River Paper for printing my journal pages and ephemera. The Red River Paper is available on my website, gayleagostinelli.com. Hope that helps! ❤

Yes! When my grandkids were small, I used to have them collage on book pages and I’d make journal cards out of them. Good memories! 😊❤

I think deli paper might be too thin, but painter’s masking paper might work. 👍❤️

I've been watching you on DuckDuckGo and found I can't leave a comment. I wanted to let you know that you must push outward on the Tim Holtz cutter to get a crisp cut. I almost sent mine back until I saw him demonstrate how to use it.
