Chris, your wealth of knowledge in addition to being a certified trainer is invaluable! Your concepts, lessons, pacing and application are exactly what we need and appreciate! Thank you and please keep them coming!
I appreciate that! Many thanks 🙏🏻
Still with you Chris! 😄 Happy to see your own channel growing. If you have some tips for working on a local network from multiple devices, it would be great if you shared it with us.
Network collaboration noted. I’ll add it to my list! Thanks for commenting.
Not exactly 'collaborating'. There are plenty of videos about collaborating using Blackmagic Cloud. But what I'm interested in is the second tab (between Local and Cloud libraries) - Network. As a single user with multiple devices (Mac and iPad in my case) how can I utilize the Network library to sync between my devices?
YOU are the MOST AWESOME & EASY TO LISTEN TO instructor regarding DAVINCI on RUclips! Totally sub’d and liked! Thanks for all your doing here!
Wow, thanks! Much appreciated 😁
Fantastic. More like this please. Simple and concise explanations and immediately useful. Thanks!
Will do! Thanks for commenting!
Another wonderful video! Your way to transmit your knowledge is very nice!
Wonderful! Thank you for commenting 🙏🏻
Best tutorial ever, thanks
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Some real gems in this episode, Chris, thank you❗PS, appreciate the drb too❗
Awesome. Thanks as always! Glad to hear you managed to download the .drb file ok. 👍🏻
Great one. Missed you on the DVR Live Tour. Berlin was great Fun.
It was a shame I could only make the Amsterdam event. It would have been nice to say hi! Next time hopefully 🤞🏻
Thanks for sharing this, Chris. Great tutorial, as always. It would be amazing to see you create more Fusion tutorials, considering the fact that there are really few people out there with your knowledge in the software. Thanks again!
My pleasure... I'm slowly doing more and more with Fusion so will look at bringing some of that experience to future episodes.
Thanks Chris. That's some next level stuff! I'm going to have to save this video and rewatch it. Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge.
My pleasure! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Another great tutorial! Thanks, Chris!
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Thanks for a great tutorial, Chris! I especially enjoyed following along with you in the "Using Fusion Titles Template" section with the video on iPad and going through all the steps on my Mac. Now I have some custom presets of my own in the Power Bin! :-)
Cheers from way-too-hot Las Vegas.
Wonderful! That’s exactly what I intended. Please to hear you found it useful. Thanks for sharing! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Wonderful. Why am I only discovering this channel now?
Great to hear! Glad you're here now 👍🏻
Awesome Tutorials.
Been using DR for a while now, just picked up some new tricks.
Thank you! Great to hear!
Thanks Heaps! this one is awesome!!!
Glad you like it and thanks for commenting 👍🏻
Excellent, as usual 🙏
Thank you 🙏🏻
WOW!!!! Mind blown! This was one of the best tutorials for me because I was doing double and triple work to get these results for my titles. Chris you are the man!!! MAJOR WIN BRO!!!
Awesome! Thank you for commenting! Sometimes it's about showing how to work more efficiently. Great to hear!
That's brilliant. Several "aha" moments that I've struggled with.
Excellent. “Aha” moments are what makes training so enjoyable. 👍🏻
Hi Chris love the channel! Excited to start exploring Resolve having followed you from Final Cut to Premiere also! Hope you are well and I’ve also finally decided to create a RUclips to share some nuggets of information I’ve picked up over the years (not just editing relating though!) keep up the great work 👏
Thank you Hardeep! It seems a long time since our Final Cut Pro days! Good to hear from you! 🙏🏻
Very helpful thank you Chris. Would you possibly consider going on from here to cover altering elements of say a title in fusion. For example if I wanted to change various elements say the line or line placement. I have some ready made RUclips subscribe etc titles but in most cases they fade or wipe on too fast or too slow and I want to change the speed but when I open them in fusion there is so many elements I get very confused with what does what and by changing one it can have a disastrous effect on all the other elements.
Will do! It's a little difficult as each title will be created differently, depending where the template was acquired from... In the meantime I'd encourage you to dig deeper into Fusion and learn how the titles are built... That way you can better target the tool you're after. There is a lot of "trial and error" to this... Don't be afraid of trying things and breaking them - that's the best way to learn. You always have the original title if the worse comes to the worse. Enjoy!
@@Chris.Roberts Hi Chris thank you for your reply. The main ones I was trying to figure out was RUclips Creator Pack and one of the problems is that they do not always mark up what fusion node does what so if you have say 30 elements in a fusion clip I do not know if there is a way to work out what is effecting what. Not understanding fusion (although I do a little bit more having watched your video) I wandered does it follow a logical trail?
So many little important details I didn't know! Thank you, Chris!
Great to hear. Thanks for commenting 🙏🏻
Hey, I recognize your face from the Davinci Resolve lessons.
Indeed! And it's not AI generated 😉
Many thanks Chris! Absolutely helpful! I didn't get how did you know that the animation ends at 134 frame? Maybe I wasn't with you 😅 I've lost you there 😁
No worries it was getting heavy by then. I know it was frame 134 as you can see it at the top of the screen when I move the PLAYHEAD over the first keyframe. Maybe I should have highlighted it a bit better 🤓
@@Chris.Roberts I’ll watch the video while practicing. I tend to forget things rapidly. Thanks again Chris.
Another video where I go..ugh why did I not know that? 🙂Question...why am I unable to see the keyframe dots in the key frame editor? I created them but I don't see them there? Is there a setting to make them visible?
Happy to hear this episode was useful! To attempt to answer your question... are you adding the keyframes to a Text+ or Fusion Title? If so, then the keyframes won't appear on the Edit page (even if that's where you're applying them), so you'll have to go to Fusion. Unless I've misunderstood, HTH!
Yes it was a Text+. Understood thank you.
Titles and Text are not one of Resolves strengths.
I agree it's not as user friendly as other software. However, it's a lot better than it used to be! 😉
is this effect possible with Davinci
ruclips.net/video/JcNszOsY9ac/видео.html
if so could you show us how
Hi, yes something similar can be achieved in Resolve using different techniques... Depending on the video clip and the brightness/colour of the text you might want to try a composite mode to the text in the Composite section of the Inspector... Alternatively you can also try to stack the clips V1=water V2=text V3=water and apply a luma keyer to the upper clip. This is just one method.
