    My first board I bought after my foamie was a 6'6" twin fish.
    I've been a bit freaked out if I made the right choice, but now I'm confident I have 🤙

    When doing your frontside wraps you should bring your trailing arm across your chest as opposed to your face. Those turns will look more polished and formed out. Regardless you’re ripping keep up the great videos!

    I like the feel of the twin pin but it doesn’t like the flatter sections. Cool video

    Nice work Ryan. I was out in heavy, fast breaking waves yesterday and the drop ins looked steep and gnarly. Any tips on taking off and dropping in on these types of waves?

      Hi Andy, it is all about positioning, timing, paddling in hard and a fast pop up. Try angling your takeoff slightly also...See if that helps

    I LOVE twins and have been riding them exclusively for about five years now but I disagree that they are more drivey than thrusters and less “flickey.”

    If you have a quad setup, can you just remove the rear fins and it’ll surf like a twin?

      twins tend to have keel fins that have a much wider base... using normal fins will be quite skatey and closer to something between twin and a finless feeling..fun to try tho..)

      You could but they are designed to all work together, where a twin set is designed specifically for that purpose. I think if you did that the front fins will be too small and the board will feel very loose and not have much drive. Twin sets can also vary in their design, from a traditional keel to a more upright fin. It depends on how you want to surf and the wave type you have.

      @@TheSurfersJourney thanks for all of the great info. I have a fish with fcs2 tri fins, could I simply install a set of fcs2 twins?

      The fin boxes themselves are placed in key locations for twins. But try just putting a set of twins in your board and feel it out🤙🏼

    Hey, sweet video! I recently bought a MF twin town 7ft foamie and it's been so good. Catching more waves and having lots of fun!
    I got a question about your wetsuit. Is the bright green supposed to deter sharks?

      Hi Jacob, haha not to my knowledge...Great to hear your new foamie is going good!

    I have a question. Do you put tail pad on your fishy twin? Some said it’s what a kook do, but I have no idea why.

    • @TheSurfersJourney
      @TheSurfersJourney  2 года назад +1

      It always depends on the individual. Some of the worlds best surfers will choose to go either way, so it definitely isn't a kook thing to do. The people saying that are most probably kooks themselves 😅

    Default settings are killing your videography. Let me know if you want the secrets. All film school teaches is propaganda and perpetuation of the inadequate status quo.
