Heya Roger, I was lucky enough to own a GARAND and M1 carbine many years ago and was so surprised and captivated by design ,engineering and action. Mind blowing for a young guy who's only fired .
......( Edit), shotties and an SMLE Lee Enfield and Bren. The GARAND blew my mind and, 40 years on, I still regret selling it. Always wanted an M 14 but .......ah, well Good luck and health.

Springfield armory is closed in 60s. But it’s legacy is lived in today.
I always wondered how stocks were mass produced......awesome documentary!
Not the Springfield Armory of today. Totally different company.
Wait is it actually a different company to the Springfield rifled musket and the bolts?
Yes I think the current Springfield armory is private. Nothing to do with the historic armory. @@craigmason9893
