    1893 Springfield 45-70 was the first rifle I ever shot. 10 yo

      Heya Roger, I was lucky enough to own a GARAND and M1 carbine many years ago and was so surprised and captivated by design ,engineering and action. Mind blowing for a young guy who's only fired .

      ......( Edit), shotties and an SMLE Lee Enfield and Bren.
      The GARAND blew my mind and, 40 years on, I still regret selling it.
      Always wanted an M 14 but .......ah, well

    Springfield armory is closed in 60s. But it’s legacy is lived in today.

      Wait is it actually a different company to the Springfield rifled musket and the bolts?

      Yes I think the current Springfield armory is private. Nothing to do with the historic armory. ​@@craigmason9893
