I was just happy that it runs reasonably smoothly using a SATA port. I'm still seeing loading screens, but at least the game is playable. Upgrading my M.2 wouldn't have been much harder but I didn't want to risk taking my main computer offline if something went wrong. When I build another computer, I am definitely going to make sure to get faster drives. The prices sure have come down since 2019 when I got this laptop.
1000% agree if you aint running it off at least ssd and preferably an NVME you will struggle
