Had one. Loved it. Paid $1200 for it in1969, in Albany NY. Had a ‘Breezeway’. Rear window, 390v8, 4 barrel carb,A/T, posit reaction rear end, was the fastest car I ever owned. Black cherry with a white top and white interior.
MARAUDER: The High-Performance ,FULL SIZED MERCURY… the equivalent to the Chrysler 300, DeSoto Adventurer, Buick Wildcat, , and Oldsmobile Starfire…or, in the Lower Price Class, the Chevy Impala SS , Plymouth Sport Fury, and Ford Galaxie 500 XL.
I guess if memory is correct the 406 motors where a champagne color. I love all the Marauder’s, I’ve owned half a dozen mercury performance cars. They could be bought cheaper used, I guess because not many people knew about them & demand was low. But not anymore, I wish I still had a couple of my Cyclones
Nice rare ride. A little fancier than a '63 Galaxie XL with that same roof. I'm guessing this is a 390 with the optional three deuces and Ford hi po exhaust manifolds installed along with a little cam by the sound of it.
Triples were added at some point. There's a cool hemmings article about this exact car from 2005. Sun visor was signed by Parnelli Jones and is still there today!
What a beautiful car!!
You dont see many of these floating around, and i hope he/she is still rumbling the ground! Very cool car

My '63 also had the 390 and you wouldn't believe how many people told me that they never came with 390s!
Every Merc looks great in Presidential black
That sounds sooooo good! ❤
Beautiful rumble to that exhaust! Matches the car.
Glad that engine got built somewhat.
I see one of these frequently on my way to work. It's a white convertable.

I’m gonna be me a mercury and cruise it up and down the road 😂😎. Car reminds me of that Alan Jackson country song 🎵
Wonderfull Car!
My next door neighbor in Vancouver had a '64 Merc Marauder with a big block (427?). That thing could go through a set of tires in nuthin' flat.

@@DriveTN that’s because Parnelli used to drive one of these with a 427 in NASCAR
Never saw one of these. Not a fan of 390o-300hp. This appears to be an upgrade. Interesting ride.
There's no info. What does this thing have? 390/406/427? 3/2bbls, 2/4bbls? It looks like it has 427 exhaust manifolds.
Ah just saw this. It was a 390 with 3/2bbls. Sold a while ago.
427 dual Quad
