I am the guy driving the forklift @11:46, with my dad and my son. Those trucks came off a farm outside of Malden. Also, the teal chevy @6:23 in Sprague was my dads old truck from when I was kid...
Did the TAT in 2021. Seeing the back roads of America on a bike is one of the highlights of my life. The view and smells on a bike can’t be duplicated from a car.
Sterling, you almost made me cry. I've ridden or driven most all of those roads over the years and my wife is from Colfax. Your video makes me want to fire up the motorcycle and leave the Seattle rain and clouds and take in the Palouse. Great video!!
Taking your time, stopping the bike and sprawl about little towns and villages, meeting people - I really like that. Makes travels unique. So is your channel. Cheerio, Günter/Nürnberg
Love your philosophies, vision of small town, background music , beautiful field and sceneries , a moment of breath in the daily life with fabulous cinematography ( and the bike riding)
Visually stunning, the colours, you really capture so much in your images. Watching this series has really hit home with me and especially in this episode, I now get it. Slowing down, making the time to take in what is all around is what it’s all about. We all need to do this every now and again, appreciate the simple things and be in the moment. Thank you Sterling 🙏
glad to see you take the roads less traveled. there are always more interesting things to see by slowing down and opening your eyes instead of just watching the dots on a split highway. Can't wait for the next one.
Wow, talk about taking the time to smell the roses. You planted them, watched them grow and bloom and then made excellent potpourri. More exceptional vivid colors and I loved the time you took to explore all the towns and, especially the trucks. This is why we love your channel!
Ohhhh woooow! The colors were amazing and like others have said, seeing small town America is special. I am going to be so bummed when your trip is over
Lovely. We have visited California, Colorado and Canada from South Wales U.K. and driven many thousands of miles through them. The best and most memorable are the discoveries come to unexpectedly and unplanned
I’m a Christian, so I’m not supporting Buddhism per se, but this video reminded me of a book that was kind of seminal for me in the early ‘70’s: Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. That took me through two motorcycles in my past and if I ever can afford one, maybe once again. Thanks. Read it, if you haven’t already. That book may just get me to Bisbee, now that I think about it….
Just wanted to say, I love your work. Great storytelling, beautiful shots and excellent presentation of what long motorcycle trip is all about, with its ups and downs. You just made me want to ride and travel more. I bought my first motorcycle recently, and can?t wait for my first adventure. Thank you for your work, and I wish you many safe and joyful miles!
I know you've had some rough spots on this trip, but I feel like you've really hit your groove with the last few videos, as you've settled into the road and the journey. I think this is some of the most compelling motorcycle travel content I've seen, maybe ever. Really well-done. I know you're missing home, but a selfish part of me would like for you to stay out there on the road, creating more of this content for us. Stellar work, Sterling
What an interesting thing to hear someone else speak so highly of what has been my backyard for the last 20 years! This is a wonderful area to explore by motorcycle. Traveling in any direction on dirt or pavement leads to some of the most scenic areas, looking forward to watching your series from the beginning.
I am going to try to remember this episode on my next trip, maybe force me to slow my anxiety filled pace. Thank you for taking the time putting all this together in a cinematic form.
It was nice to meet you briefly at Overland Expo and say hello. I have not been up to date with the latest videos as I am quite occupied with my own travels in the States at the moment. 🤗 "The Swede".
Love the video,so true about taking the time to smell the roses!Life is not all about living on the big thrills but just the small things, going to mirror your ride this August
Sure is...all about slowing down, nice wise words Sterling. Love traveling on the bike to old places and towns, supporting local cafe's. I think when you are in a car traveling, it's basically Gas and go, on a bike you gas and coffee, and an ice cream....
Finding these little towns is an absolute delight on a motorcycle adventure. These are towns I would drive through in a car, but on a motorcycle ride exploration is part of the trip. Thanks for sharing with us
that was more than spectacular, Harkened me back to a ride I made in 05 on US2 from Everet East the never endeing wheat fields, after stopping at a deserted grange building an older gentleman stopped to ask if I had a problem, No I was just admireing the golden countyside but asked about smoke on the horizon. He informed me that was just the dust from harvesting the wheat. Later I read how the area kept the World in bread and grain during The Great War. Truly Historic
Yet again another video that shows how motorcycle travel can take you to a forgotten time. A place that relics sit and wait to be appreciated thru the lens of a master story teller. You are without a doubt my favorite Film Maker on RUclips. You should have hundreds of thousands of subscribers by now. You are the best!!!
Most people think of British Columbia, Washington and Oregon as the Pacific Northwet, and never get to see the hot, rolling hills of the interior, east of the Cascades.
Hi dear Sterling i feel like you have the one of your best days there this time. Congrats mate. I was on a trip too for ten days which you make me encouraged. A lot of photos but without footage. Just want to share with you mate. Cheers
Sterling, I enjoyed this episode the most in this series. Like you, I love exploring old towns and abandoned industrial buildings. The tractor wheel fence was an amazing find. I imagine I will see you at the BMW rally.
Fantastic discoveries, relaxing video, the small town treasures and a picture could be worth a thousand words. You walk past a truck at 7 minutes and 41 seconds in to the video and there were two bullet holes in the windshield at the driver's side. It makes one wonder what happened. Great story telling Sterling, blessings and safe travels to you and yours. Today, rewatching some of your other playlists. 😎 Look forward to the adventures ahead.
Here in Canada the Gov and local developers always destroy are old heritage sites so sad . You in the U.S have them everywhere love it good on you guys ! Another great vid thanks so for sharing .
You are a RIDING MACHINE! thanks for bringing us with you. I just did 2700, and tried to use some of your filming tips. My videos aren't as in depth, and as visually stimulating as yours. But I'm learning and getting better. You are inspiring. Thanks again
I want to see the whole experience and to see how you deal with things . It shows a beautiful reality even when its hard . Theres so much to experience in life and you through all of your videos have inspired me . I cant thank you enough.
You've really hit your stride in this series. I've enjoyed your other works, but I related 100% to your attitude and philosophy of motorcycle travel in this one. Excellent work Sterling ! Next time I'm in Bisbee, I'll stop in to meet you. Cheers !
Gorgeous photography. Everything has a story and is full of living color. I was just learning about William Eggleston and this is video is a nice gift for a Sunday Morning. (Just got my first big GS too, a 2000 1150. Love it).
Thanks for another great video Sterling…..very ‘inneresting’ (🤪) to see the back roads and small towns of the USA, loved the trucks, hope that a few get restored (love to see some if you come across them). All the best from Cambridge UK🇬🇧🍷
Another great video! Excellent work with the drone. I drove by that stacked barn too. It’s near Pullman. I turned around & went back for a picture cuz I thought it was so unique. I also felt that old town vibe through Sprague & Harrington. No one was in a rush to get anywhere & it was a nice feeling.
Once in my travels I noticed a brand new wringer washing machine, in Guatemala. Except this one was powered by Briggs and Stanton. Useful if you don't have electricity.
2 more weeks of work, then close business, sell everything, make drivers license....I'll be on the road before Christmas. This is also thanks to you. I'll come around to pitch up my tent on your land before Christmas. Wanna be in mexico for Christmas and new years. 🎉
You asked whether stopping in small towns is part of the motorcycle experience, yes it is? It's also part of the freedom of going where you want and stopping where you want whenever you want. I LOVE this type of thing.

That truck stop & those dilapidated barns are pure backroad gold, awesome finds. Thanks for the tour.

Thank you for this great tour of back road eastern Washington. Gorgeous.
The Palouse area is a hidden gem. My moto has rolled on this roads many times.
Lovely. We have visited California, Colorado and Canada from South Wales U.K. and driven many thousands of miles through them. The best and most memorable are the discoveries come to unexpectedly and unplanned
how does this channel not have 1m subscribers yet is beyond me. So well done.

I have a little bit about that book coming up in a future episode!
That shot of the old trucks and the electric vehicle charging station is awesome. I shared it with my family. Looking forward to more of the Palouse.
Just wanted to say, I love your work. Great storytelling, beautiful shots and excellent presentation of what long motorcycle trip is all about, with its ups and downs.

Great stuff, Sterling, especially with your eye, your sensibility, your appreciation of these things. Nice segment, thanks for the uplift.
Love The Palouse and its towns and communities. Especially the town of Palouse (where I lived during graduate school). Charming.
One of your best videos yet. Thanks for taking us along
Amazing footages❤
Travelled through eastern Washington a couple of times, was amazed by how lonely I felt.
My style of ridin'
I was Impressed - back a stretch - first time I saw the endless rolling wheat field's of WA...
I am going to try to remember this episode on my next trip, maybe force me to slow my anxiety filled pace. Thank you for taking the time putting all this together in a cinematic form.
Dreamland, what a life affirming trip this is, just fantastic
It was nice to meet you briefly at Overland Expo and say hello. I have not been up to date with the latest videos as I am quite occupied with my own travels in the States at the moment. 🤗 "The Swede".
Pure gold, love the old trucks & wagonwheel fence!

Wow, amber waves of grain, true Americana. You got to love it.
Thanks Sterling for another great video story adventure!

I like the interviews with the local people.
Love old, small towns like this. Finding them on your own is the best 👍

One of my favorites 😊
Slowing down and sidesteps are great! Plan less experience more
My favorite word is “Americana” 🥰
Beautiful episode, thank you sir.
Excellent camera work on this one!!!
Once in my travels I noticed a brand new wringer washing machine, in Guatemala. Except this one was powered by Briggs and Stanton. Useful if you don't have electricity.
Fun Fact: The Appaloosa Horse comes from the Palouse area of WA.
That was amazing.
Another great one Sterling! You definitely have a cooler more modern Charles Kuralt vib going on. And it's fantastic!
My old stomping grounds. Thank you! Did you go inside the art barn at Uniontown? It's pretty cool
❤❤
