Wheat makes pasta. Pasta makes for a great meal. Farmers feed the world. Sure glad you appreciate the work of farmers. We sure appreciate your episodes of this epic journey.
Some very comical moments in this episode, for sure! Appreciating the smaller things...art on the walls, towels, and those beautiful wheat fields. Another enlightening 20 minutes, Sterling. Thanks and cheers!
This video was so amusing! I loved being surprised by all the lil things we take for granted these days. I'd follow you down the old spiral highway but I'm more curious than clever 😂 Walking into the wheat field is so something I would do. What an amazing journey! ❤️🏍️🏕️
Just completed the NMBDR which was an adventure of a lifetime. The first part of this video really resonates with me on the transition between daily life and adventure realities. Exceptionally well done.
880 lbs! I am glad you switched to 701. I havent been able to ride for two months recovering from major back surgery. You Adventures are keeping sane thank you!
I have absolutely loved this "catastrophe of a series"...especially this episode. You had me laughing at times and other times, I was contemplating my own life too.
Sterling, Your productions are great. Love watching what you create. It really makes me look forward to my next ride. I live in N.Idaho and watching you in areas I ride a lot brings great joy. Thank you.
That piece where you walk into a wheat field with a classical music playing in the background totally resonated with me. Sometimes when just riding through and watching the landscapes change is not enough, merging with the scenery does the trick. Feeling alive and present is why many of us ride, and it's moments like this one that make the experience of connectedness unforgettable. Thank you for sharing this moment.
Really enjoying this series. Not sure I could ever put that many days consecutive into a trip but it seems the highs have drowned out the lows enough for you to stay sane and focused.
Hi Sterling, last summer around the time this video was shot, I went to a golf trip from Tacoma to Moscow Idaho and visited the places shown here including Lewiston and Clarkston. It was at the time when I thought to myself how wonderful it would be to ride this beautiful scenic road on a motorcycle. I came home, bought a motorcycle, took an MSF course, got myself a permit then an endorsement, and now I am a very happy rider. Maybe this summer I will go back there, but this time on my motorcycle. Ride on, and thank you for the wonderful video series.
This episode was so clever and entertaining !! Thanks for the intelligent humor and beautiful views ! I hesitate to say “ I wanna ride the old spiral highway “ 😂
Sterling It was fantastic meeting you in Bisbee in April for the rally! This video is PURE you. LOL! I love all the humor about what we motorcyclists can do without, to enjoy the world and nature. Most people will never understand what being alone is like. I can't wait until next year Sir! Ride SAFE and BE safe Sterling. 👍👍
One of your best Sterling, very upbeat, and I love your sarcasm. You brought me down on several of your episodes on this trip, but this one makes up for it. Maybe your true personality coming through. Thanks for your stunning videos of nature.
Campsite nirvana, complete with charcuterie board and box wine! Very fancy! It doesn’t get any better! Cool that you go to meet a few fans. You’ve got friends all over the world, Sterling, courtesy of your peerless videography. You may not fully appreciate it, but you make all of our lives just a little better. Thank you! As an aside, it’s funny how much gear we have in common. I’ve got the same saw, and I saw that classic little Opinel pocket knife poking out. Best cheese and sausage slicer, ever. Splurge and get yourself a little Sea to Summit inflatable pillow. They pack down to nothing, and they are _so_ much more comfy than the ol’ jacket-in-a-stuff-sack pillow!😃
I loved the hotel amenities comparison. As you rode down along the Salmon River which was on your right, there are all kinds of dual sport roads on the left. It was another great video!
LMAO. My wife and I eagerly await the next episode to see whether Sterling regained his sanity or went completely around the bend. Good stuff. Can't wait for my own trip out west from Minnesota.
You have a way with words, describing what getting lost on a motorcycle means, enjoying nature and the wild away from the annoying sounds that we get accustomed to in the cities, brilliant, hopefully you will have persuaded a few more people to get out there and do their thing, slow down and appreciate the wonderful world we live in.
just in the course of this series your storytelling skill and photography/videography style has changed and matured even further. Fantastic, will be sad when its over.
Smelling the roses to smelling the wheat. What a great walkthrough scene. A familiar road to me but was not aware of the Spiral Hwy so thanks for that to see next time thru. Since I have a few years on you, I enjoy the luxury of motels. Roughing it will be Wiseman, AK where I share a bathroom with another room 😉
Love this video You are my go to guy when it comes to adventure travel 2 nights in a hotel normally means your preparing to get back into normal home life The spiral looked amazing Thanks for sharing
I’m loving these last few slaphappy episodes! Keep ‘em coming! I’m on a week-long research trip at the Huntington Library in Pasadena and sorely tempted to play hookey on the last day, rent a bike, and head for the hills
Really enjoyed watching this episode, you were informative, philosophical, waxing poetic, silly and, honestly, you sound like you're getting a little punchy. Really fun video, thanx
Love your work Sterling. Always beautiful.. this one was special, artsy and funny.. Your coming into your own. Hope you make it home before you go crazy. Cheers.
🤪 “I'm in a wheat field...” Dude, too funny. That hill north of Lewiston is beautiful! A few years back, I headed east on #12 to Missoula, which remains in my top five asphalt twisty turns. I'm guilty of stopping for swims when it's hot, no shame, strip down to boxers and jump in; sometimes you need a refreshing dip. Plus, hailing from the cool climate of the great white North, a cold river to you is like a running hot spring for us. As always, thank you for sharing this fantastic content. Muddy side down! 😊
I loved the way you filmed the Spiral highway , some great shots , I note as time goes on you have become more spiritual and in touch with nature during your narration . Regards Pete Western Australia
I've always had deep connections with nature but it gets more and more meaningful the older I get and the more I allow myself to slow down and appreciate it.
Always nailing the perspective, and so descriptive!! I feel like by just listening one could tell exactly what you’re doing, and picture the areas your riding! An epic series
Oh the imperfection... So glad you are Perfectly Imperfect, and your equipment is ridden, not hidden. Perfection is for the mentally ill, lol... Es un broma.. but guys get out there and live, ride your own ride. Sterling your videos open the mind to a world of places we don't know exist. Time is all we have in this life that cannot be bought borrowed or stolen, live for the moment. Stay safe my friend and thanks for sharing a perspective that is real. 👍👍Bendiciones 🙏
We'll be on Idaho single track late this summer and can't wait. Enjoyed this one man!!! Hope to forget about the 4 walls and ceilings for a bit ourselves! Makes you really appreciate them when you get back!!
Fun vid. Those who don't live on the road for extended times will not understand the simple things we take for granted each day. Van Gogh, he was focused, he had only an ear but brilliant vision. May not want to try it. People love crowds. Wonder how many drove by there and said there's nobody there, we'll go on. Charlie Beemer, on the river at Beemer's Landing. Sure he gone now, he used to carry the mail by jet boat. 13 ft. sturgeon inhabit the river.
This was awesome Sterling. I'm not sure you smiled even once but you sure made me laugh with the shocked back to civilization / hotel segment. There was a clear touch of Twilight Zone in there.... Really enjoying the series. -Al near Seattle-
I live nearby and the Old Spiral Highway is a popular climb for we local (bi)cyclists. In fact the day I'm viewing this video there is a hill climb called "I Made The Grade" that happens every year that goes up Old Spiral. Other great roads you should do in the area are the Old Winchester Grade at Culdesac, and Rattlesnake Grade South of Anatone, WA. Both amazing roads, even better than Old Spiral IMO.
Nice work Sterling! I was there a few years ago with Joe Peralta, and Bill Hartman from The VME who lives nearby in Deary, ID. Enjoyed your film as usual!
Wheat makes pasta. Pasta makes for a great meal. Farmers feed the world. Sure glad you appreciate the work of farmers. We sure appreciate your episodes of this epic journey.
An epic catastrophe of a series! Loving ever minute of it!!!
Some very comical moments in this episode, for sure! Appreciating the smaller things...art on the walls, towels, and those beautiful wheat fields. Another enlightening 20 minutes, Sterling. Thanks and cheers!
@@dahof2789 Ha ha ha exactly my thought
This video was so amusing! I loved being surprised by all the lil things we take for granted these days. I'd follow you down the old spiral highway but I'm more curious than clever 😂 Walking into the wheat field is so something I would do. What an amazing journey! ❤️🏍️🏕️
Thanks! Those wheat fields are something else!
All the editing in this one is amazing. You really love your work to show your audience a good time. Thanks for bringing us along. 👏
You bet!!!
Loved this video…you gave me some really great belly laughs! Dry, sarcastic humor is hard to beat….thank you!!
Rare form Sterling…these just keep getting better and better!
This video truely expressed a creative side of you, that made my eyes water. Thanks for making my day Sterling.
Happy to hear that!
I have absolutely loved this "catastrophe of a series"...especially this episode. You had me laughing at times and other times, I was contemplating my own life too.
Great Job as usual. So nice to watch while sipping my coffee. Planning & dreaming about my own up coming adventures... Thanks 👍
Sterling, Your productions are great. Love watching what you create. It really makes me look forward to my next ride. I live in N.Idaho and watching you in areas I ride a lot brings great joy. Thank you.
The dry humor is as epic as the old spiral highway which I too have had the pleasure of riding. Amazing road.
That piece where you walk into a wheat field with a classical music playing in the background totally resonated with me. Sometimes when just riding through and watching the landscapes change is not enough, merging with the scenery does the trick. Really enjoying this series. Not sure I could ever put that many days consecutive into a trip but it seems the highs have drowned out the lows enough for you to stay sane and focused.
Back in the early 2000s, a group of us coasted down the Spiral highway on our sport tourers, in neutral with the engines off. What a hoot !
Hi Sterling, last summer around the time this video was shot, I went to a golf trip from Tacoma to Moscow Idaho and visited the places shown here including Lewiston and Clarkston. Awesome, I hope you enjoy it!
You sir are a true artist. Pure poetry is found in each episode of this series.
I appreciate that, thank you!
😂
This episode had me chuckling out loud more than once. Great adventure indeed.
😢
“Palace of infinite splendor.” Stop, you’re killing me. I was laughing until I cried (literally) during the opening hotel scene. Thanks for the laugh.
You bet! Glad you enjoyed it!
This episode was so clever and entertaining !! Thanks for the intelligent humor and beautiful views ! I hesitate to say “ I wanna ride the old spiral highway “ 😂
Don't say it out loud :-) but do it if you're in the area!
😢
Probably the best episode ever!
Sterling

One of your best Sterling, very upbeat, and I love your sarcasm. You brought me down on several of your episodes on this trip, but this one makes up for it. Maybe your true personality coming through. Thanks for your stunning videos of nature.
Glad to hear it!
This episode was funny. I like the portrayal of man starting to lose his mind on the road. 😆
Just keeps getting better Sterling. Loved the tone and vibe of this episode. Wheat King! Cheers Mate.
Every video is like meeting
An old vriend, always a real pleasure.
Thanks friend!
Great video thank you very well done thanks for taking us along cheers to ya.

I love the way you tell the stories, always enjoy your travels. Also happy I was able to meet you and Eva at the overland expo.
Thanks! Cheers!
It seems like the "I accidentally ate some mushrooms" episode! :) Lots of introspection of the surroundings. It was a very good day!
Take your time. Life’s short!
I really enjoy your review at the end of your day.
thank for make the day!!!! . funny and inspiring . cheers from Chile🤣
I loved the hotel amenities comparison. As you rode down along the Salmon River which was on your right, there are all kinds of dual sport roads on the left. It was another great video!
Your hilarious Sterling listing all the amenities of the hotel that we all take for granite the video looks fantastic on the Big screen, 👍 love it
Such an inspirational series.
Thank you Sterling.

Another great episode! Love when you sprinkle in that Sterling humor. Those quips add to the joy of adventure.
Glad you like them!
😢
LMAO. My wife and I eagerly await the next episode to see whether Sterling regained his sanity or went completely around the bend. Good stuff. Can't wait for my own trip out west from Minnesota.
Ha ha, I still have a little crazy left in me before the trip ends but almost home at this point!
Outstanding in your field ! Hilarious & beautiful .
😢
Groovy soundtrack for the Old Spiral Highway.
Enjoyed different way of vlog today 😅..
Watching from Sikkim,India❤
Best anti-modernization ad I’ve ever seen 🎉
You have a way with words, describing what getting lost on a motorcycle means, enjoying nature and the wild away from the annoying sounds that we get accustomed to in the cities, brilliant, hopefully you will have persuaded a few more people to get out there and do their thing, slow down and appreciate the wonderful world we live in.
Thanks! That was my goal in part to show these aspects of the trip.
Loved the wheat field scene. "It seemed like the thing to do..." i know exactly what you mean.
Sterling really love this series. I think you are getting a little punchy at this stage of the trip. Your ramblings are hilarious 🤣
Indeed - time to get home!
just in the course of this series your storytelling skill and photography/videography style has changed and matured even further. Fantastic, will be sad when its over.
Thanks for that - I appreciate it.
Sterling just returned from a space jump, back into reality, awesome video! 😁👍
Never knew you were this funny.😂😂 You are awesome, thanks for getting me off my butt and out riding..
You're welcome!!

such a nice Wes Anderson vibe - love it.
STERLING very artsy, haha😮
You confirmed one of my suspicions when you threw "charcuterie" out there so easily. But I still loved the video.
Really enjoyed watching this episode, you were informative, philosophical, waxing poetic, silly and, honestly, you sound like you're getting a little punchy.
Really fun video, thanx
OMG lol thats the funniest one yet , yeah riding the spiral highway would be a brow raiser lol , keep em coming mate love em all
More to come!
I've riden/drove the road South of Lewiston into Oregon - Many times.
Never heard of the Old Spiral Highway - It is now on my list...
Brilliant. The favorite moment of a long moto trip, becoming a bit feral.
Yes, feral indeed!
Love your work Sterling. Always beautiful.. this one was special, artsy and funny.. Your coming into your own. Hope you make it home before you go crazy. Cheers.
Agreed - I was in a pretty "special" place to be able to do these last few videos. - kind of uninhibited I suppose, which felt nice.
This is the production from a catastrophe of a genius. Loved every second of it.
Since he makes references to van Gogh, perhaps a... mad genius?!
We might find out in the next episode?
Another great video with a twist of a story thrown into the mix too ... nice.
one of my favorite episodes so far. Keep on keepin' on, my friend.
Thanks, will do!
Great video, great road. I admire your work and you are pure adventure... Just go and do it. 😊Keep up

Awesome adventure. Followed all the way. Vancouver Islander, and traveled many of your roads. Excellent job!

Wow, thank you!
wow, nice motorbike road trip and camping video... love it.
This one made me laugh out loud! You sounded like Chuck, in the Castaway, when he returns to civilization.
Brilliant editing!
Haha! Really enjoyed your sense of humor in this one, well done!
Hey, thanks!
Brilliant commentary,loved the episode.
Love Lewiston and the Salomon River area. I have had the pleasure of riding and spending time in the area. Another wonderful episode.
Ah, the pleasures of civilisation in the 21st century ;-) Happy gazing at wheat fields. Günter/Nürnberg
I guess you can check ‘taking a whiz in a wheat field’ off of the ole bucket list, lol.
I love your work!! And your RUclips channel!! 🥰💕

Now you’ve done it Sterling. I’ll never be able to talk my wife into going camping with me again.😂
Sorry :-) !!!
I really like the wheat field stop! I do that stuff

That highway looked really fun! You ever come to Missouri I can show you some awesome roads too.
Funny!! Really enjoyable! Don’t know how you will ever, top, this trip.
Me either! Guess I'll have to figure that out next time!
Master Moto Vlogger! Thanks for sharing!
No problem 👍
That's very true what you said in the beginning of your video. Also funny😂. I chose life to be like yours If I can.
Probably your best video yet your a sadist funny shit😂
