I feel so bad for Esau. However, the previous chapter(s) already set his destiny on stone so deceived or not I'm pretty sure that in one way or another he will still receive his life, as prophesied.

Sometimes we tend to focus on the blessing that we forgot who the blesser is.

Thank you for another great video. I was thinking that both Jacob and Esau were not living with God as the top priority and now that Jacob had this dream of God, he realizes that God is with him all the time and this will be the biggest difference between Esau and Jacob. Do you also get chills when you pray or hear something for God, it just really resonates with you and God is confirming that what you prayed for is part of the path or to be more aware of something. When I heard you say "God was here and I was not aware" I get chills and I truly believe it's the Holy Spirit.

Rebecca was working on the revelation which had from God. Where he had disclosed to her when the twins were in her womb that Jacob is the one who will carry forward the blessing and the salvation of all the nations of the world.
Then it says that Esau said to himself / thought to himself when the time of mourning for his father comes he will kill Jacob. So noone really knew his plan for this. Therefore it is implied that Rebecca had a revelation of this thought of Esau through a divine intervention.
Her motivation for sending Jacob away was to avoid a situation where the whole world would be at a risk of suffering because 1 son wanted to kill the other.
Anotherreason why she wanted Jacob to get a wife from her people is because when we marry the main focus should be to glorify and praise God and do it together. So if 1 person in the marriage believes in our God being the 1 true God and the other does not / believes something else, we will not be able to achieve this purpose.
Same reason Esau married Ishmael's daughter. IMO he tried to understand in a worldly way this objective in marriage. Since Hagar and Ishmael also worshiped the same God he thought of marrying one of his daughters hoping to serve 2 purposes. The reason this was again a wrong move is another discussion.
I do like your comparison of how Jacob used the rock where he was resting his head to praise God.

I have a question. Thoroughly because I’m a little confused. Did Jacob receive his blessing because he and his mother Rebekah deceived Issac? I’m asking because a part of me doesn’t think that it’s fair that Jacob gets to receive this blessing that he didn’t earn fairly. I’m really trying to wrap my brain around these current events.

Good question but I believe the answer is no - back in Genesis 25:23 God told Rebekah the older will serve the younger before they were even born. Jacob and Rebekah should have trusted God instead of trying to manipulate things to get what they want on their terms. Jacob ended up having years of many unfortunate events that I think was because of this deception. It just shows us that we need to be patient in trusting God, including with trusting his timing. I hope this helps❤️

Jacob would have received his blessing anyway because that's what God promised. But he don't trust God. And Rebecca don't trust God either to fulfill . Esau as cheated but he disguarded birthright, so much that he traded it for soup. Noone was in the right here , and they had to pay the consequences for it.
However God used this situation for good and reaffirmed his promise and continued to work with Jacob, even if he failed.
( I can't take credit any of these it come from an online bible site.)
