- Was writing a wonky groove when the new PV kit from GetGood Drums dropped, so naturally I had to buy it to test it out. Went for some weird split coil tones and a heavily swung groove on this. Also blending a ring mod into the guitars on the chorus that's a semitone out to give it a nice rough, grittiness. That move was 100% inspired by iammmune.
Guitar: Strandberg Boden 7 w/ Bareknuckle Ragnaroks.
Tones: Earthquaker Devices Plumes into Nerual DSP's Archetype Rabea with GGD Cali Cabs.

@@itsMEADOWS it's a bit of a shame this is on kontakt 7. i've heard that 7 is even worse performance wise than 6 already was and my mac doesn't support 7 either... though rn it's a bit out of my budget p5 anyways lol
Oh really? I haven't noticed any issues using Kontakt Player 7. But I'm pretty sure I was running this on Kontakt 5. Unless I've bamboozled myself. What drum library do you normally use?
@@itsMEADOWS superior drummer normally. i got a pretty good deal with quite a few ezx expansions so i tend to just use metal machine the most.
Oh nice. I haven't used Superior Drummer much. Had a brief look at a free version years ago but never got to dive too deep into it. I've heard great things, though!

niiice ! did you use any kind of post processing on the drums ?
Cheers! It was a while ago now so I can't remember exactly, but I try to keep these kind of demos as "straight out of the box" as I can. On the drum bus there MIGHT have been a couple very small EQ moves but other than that it would only be my master bus processing that the whole mix runs through, which does affect the drum sound. It's usually just tape machine > bus compressor > EQ > limiter for these videos.
