Wow....you really have a feel for the Kelvin-style redesigns. These are beautiful ships. This is a good argument that not all Star Trek stories have to be related to the Enterprise. Each ship has a captain and crew, with their own flavor. I'd love to see a series about any one of these ships....

The Ulysses is a great looking design. Albatross is still my favourite though. Also, the Texas is a great JJ-verse version of a Miranda class. Overall, they all look great.

This have a very awesome, Kelvin timeline meets Battlestar Galactica camera work. The images with the imperfect camera focus and vooming have a very real life feel to it. VERY VERY NICE.

The Texas and Albatross are, by far, better than anything I've seen in Star trek. I've never thought the Star Trek ships' design made any sense, but these are sure beautiful enough to get me over it. Well done.

I agree, these two are my favorites. Though I am wondering what is the purpose of the two blue semi-circle areas at the back of the saucer sections?
My first thought was Bussard collectors, but they have always been attached to the front of the warp nacelles on the Ships of Star Trek. Deflector dishes, maybe? But if thats the case, then why two?

I'd like to see the USS Cornblat captained by Ensign J. Lewis. I know how did an ensign end up in command. Well they were going to decommission the Cornblat and the captain passed it down to the XO, then the XO gave it to the Chief, and so on and so forth until the last officer Ensign J. Lewis was given command and the ship ended up in a paper work nightmare and it disappeared. J. Lewis to save his marriage and career in star fleet had to go find the ship. He found it alright with his buddy D. Martin and together they set of on a wild journey to return the Cornblat back to the space yards of Earth.

  • @90lancaster

You certainly like BSG don't you. (me too)
I like the dark shots of the Albatross beauty Pass though - I would prefer a bit more body stretch before popping to warp myself and perhaps a different sound effect on the transition to warp.
I like the Ulysses with the Deflector on top that is a design that would look nice either way up I'd say. It's sort of how I wish the 24th Century Steamrunner class would have looked with the deflector on the top (instead of the underside)- as then that flat base of the design would have been ideal for planetary landing or full body docking methods (to allow for easy cargo reloading) at a starbase.
I'd like to see what a JJverse take on some other ship templates would look like such as the Proto-type Excelsior designs, the defunct Motion Picture Enterprise designs and even the Enterprise C "Ambassador class" and the obscure classes like the New Orleans Class.
Not that I mind lots of Miranda class variations at all (like you seem to be doing).
How about something a bit like the design of the Norway class (only with with a Saucer primary hull) and the JJ-style nacelles ?
Or even the saucer variant that exist of the Intrepid Class USS Voyager (seen in a comic).
I would guess it's time consuming to make the more radical designs though like the Deadlus class (Pacific 201's version is especially nice) or the USS Grissom body type (Obereth class).
But the Grissom design with JJ nacelles would look pretty interesting.
But if you take suggestions might I suggest the Centaur class as a inspiration of a Miranda like variant perhaps using the deflector pod from the Ulysses as the mounting point for the struts on the hull.
Keep up the good work - I always enjoy it when you publish something new.

You're one incredible artist. Better than Star Trek Discovery. Paramount's graphics, state of the art as they are, don't show the same inspiration, which is a terrible shame as that wonder once was Star Trek's stock in trade. Watching on the big screen gave the ships the scale they needed. Something is lost in the way they compose them for TV.
