- iRacing - I know it's way too complicated to get started so in this video I show you the CHEAPEST way to get a subscription and a PC which can play iRacing at decent settings (you'll definitely want to be above 60fps at least).

Some of the questions I get asked the most are how much is iRacing, are there any discounts to the subscription, do you need to buy cars and tracks, and how powerful a PC do you need to run iRacing - in this video I try and answer them including choosing a graphics card (GPU), CPU, CPU cooler, RAM, NVME hard drive, PC case, motherboard and PSU at budget!

They added so much free content .. even racing in D series on the basic sub model.. i got my first month today .. still waiting for my wheel and pedals to arrive.. but already got a decent laptime with the mx5 even with my xbox controller XD.. it all comes down to skill .. ^^
Screw budget racing if you can afford it I say build the best durn PC you can afford you’ll be happier than with a PC that barely plays the games and is gonna need an upgraded GPU in a year or two and replace the CPU a couple years down the line as well if your using ryzen’s zen 3 chips if Intel your probably gonna have to build/buy a better PC in a few years just my thoughts

Good video Kireth thank you. Part of me thinks if you're brave you can go cheaper on the PC by venturing into the badlands and buying a used one and upgrading RAM and storage and GPU. But it's not for the faint hearted. Also, the PC should run leading for at least 3 years so you could divide the PC cost by 36 rather than 12. Thanks again for the video.

@@Kireth I'm sure I've seen comments on the iRacing Community FB group where people have run it with 8gb RAM as that used to be the minimum spec and plenty no doubt haven't bothered to upgrade, and if it does run OK I suppose there's an argument to be made to leave well alone. There's a plentiful(ish) supply of ex-office Dell Optiplex mid-ATX towers that could theoretically run iRacing with a few upgrades. RAM thankfully is still easy enough to source. I still might go this route and wait out the GPU/CPU drought for a year.

hi Mate i am just wanting to get into IRacing and wondered if there was any valid codes still to reduce my initial cost of trying it as i see the last one is 1 year old cheers
i was fine, until you mentioned "Windows 10", I'm hanging on for the new APU think its AMD Ryzen™ 5 5600G release in late July in the UK, then when GPU decrease then add one to the system.
Hmm just hope there is more GPU supply soon!
At this point it's legit cheaper to look for quality prebuilt PC stores and sell your other parts individually. As much as I love building PCs myself, the prices currently are impossible to go cheaper by buying singular pieces.
Just recently I was looking for something for a friend and found a PC with an 3070TI and relatively decent specs for 1600 €. If I bought the 3070TI solo I wouldve already been at 1000€
