I am scared of spicy food so I eased back on the spices & I am now pretty convinced that Connie's spice measurements are spot on😆. I will be trying again this weekend & will follow the recipe to the letter this time. This is a really simple recipe to follow, but boy-howdy does the dough get stiff!!! Thank you, Connie!

Hi Connie - here's a beginner question here: how important are the parchment paper and the foil? If I don't care about the shape, can I steam the sausage in a heat resistant form? Is a lid necessary, or I can steam in a tray (inside the instant pot)?
If yopu don't care about the shape I don't see why not. I know when you wrap them they become nice and firm like a sausage. Not sure about the form never used one
Hello Connie, I reused the plastic cliplock bags over and over. But they aren't recycled and go to huge piles of landfill worldwide. I bought a hard plastic type of container for freezing salmon patties (that's the only "meat" I eat now) and other food. It holds 3 layers with parchment/grease proof paper between each layer. When I go to my daughter's home the frozen food will be put in a cooler bag/travel freezer. The plastic bags will eventually leach out the toxic chemicals in them. Not good for you 💖. Thank you for your dedication and your wonderfully inventive mind and recipes 👏🌈. Have a wonderful and peaceful Christmas and New Year 2023🎶🎄🎋🌈
