I'm in love with this song, whenever I listen to it I feel something hard to explain. I like thinking that every song has a story to tell, and this song has a romantic, yet sweet and innocent story. I feel relaxed, like there's nothing else, and I come to this whenever I feel down. I don't know why, but this reminds me who I am and who I want to be.
I can't play the piano to save my life, but I really admire you in this video. Beautiful music (my favorite film score) and beautifully played. Well done!
I love this song so much...Its actually really easy to play from this video! Just watch his fingers on the left hand first, work that out, then play it. Then try and do the same for the right hand and then put it together bit by bit! I never thought I would be able to play this when I first saw this...But it is actually surprisingly easy! Learn each part bit by bit and then piece all the parts together. Good luck x

@moyww5 This is a really good exercise to learn how to play by ear. Try not to focus so much on the exact notes he's playing and more of what he's doing generally. The song has four real parts to it... the intro, the key change, the melody, and the return to the normal key. The starting key is Gb with a 1-3-5 chord progression, and key change is A with a 1-3-6-3-4-5. The rest of the things he's doing is just a variation within that chord.
That was enchanting and very well played. You have a good sense of rhythm and know how to set a mood with piano music. Now let's hear some of your other stuff
It's not late at all if you really want to do it and put effort into it. Maybe youre a natural at it! Give it a shot its never too late. I started playing at 18, I'm not the best, but I sure am glad I started!
I honestly think that playing it from this vid is better. I have the sheet music but it is in a completely different key to this and to be honest this is much better! I just learnt it by watching his fingers and it sounds even more beautiful when your playing it youself, if you know wt i mean. =]

Respond to this video... In short, there is no sheet music to this because he's just making this up as he goes. It's not as hard as it seems and you'll become a much better piano player by just being able to do this. If you make it up in your head, you can't make a mistake!

You're right. In my own cover of this I make that mistake too, I had watched too many youtube versions learning it and not enough of the actual movie. I didn't realize my mistake until after I recorded it.
