I saw this film at the cinema with my girlfriend (now wife), and I fell in love with Paris all over again. Years later, I was sent on assignment through work to Paris. When I arrived for the start of the week from London, I used to walk from Gare du Nord down to Boulevard de la Madeleine with my headphones in - and this wonderful soundtrack played every time. I had everything: a city I loved, a language I could speak enough, this music, and the spirit of Amelie in my heart. These are such treasured memories.
Was in Paris over Xmas and walked through the 17th arrondisement, Gare de Nord, by Madelaine and across the Seine. Yes it was gray, drizzling, and cold... but Paris is Paris. Amelie captures the magic of not only Paris but of life itself.

Today is 4 March 2024, 04.28 Turkey time. This beautiful video that I came across at this hour reminded me of the miracles in life, the resurrection of the heart and the beauty of love. Perhaps the message of the universe has reached me. This must be a sign at this hour... I hope 🙏 I am 46 years old, I don't know if love is possible for me after this hour. There are things I forgot in the hustle and bustle of life 😔

I can’t absolutely describe what I feel during this masterclass. I’m depressed and happy at the same time and I really wish to find my future wife who feels the same with this song and we enjoy together. Please send me hope
The movie was not about unrequited love, it was about helping someone and not letting them know that you helped them. When a person that you helped, smiles, then you will feel the bliss. Amelié tries everything for happiness but when she helped someone and didn't let him know as she is too shy for it then she felt whole pheneremone gushing in her mind, she realizes that it's an eternal bliss. So, she makes it her mission to help people in her surrounding, she teaches us that even a small help can makes a lots of difference in someone's life. Later, in the movie she fell in love with this person and then realizes that it was love overall, it was love, helping someone was love and having that boy is love. She tries to hard to let that guy know that it was her, who was helping him in his pursuits but couldn't able to because of shy nature. In end, she thought that everything is lost and cries badly, here your heart will break as you have seen her helping everyone but in the end she is helpless. At that moment of darkness, that guy reaches her home and at last finds her, she was his pursuit and they hug, finding love and happiness in each other's arms. Such a beautiful movie!! I feel tears in my eyes, writing about Amelié.
It’s about a beautiful broken person trying to connect with the other beautiful broken people. She doesn’t know how to do it so she makes her entire life a work of art, that can only be witnessed from God’s own eye’s view. Then as if by magic, Gods sends her exactly what she wants and she’s smart enough to recognize it and run after it with arms wide open. My take
Never seen this movie but this scene alone, oh man... it reminds me of when a guy is trying to think of the words to say to a woman hes never spoke to but has an affinity for. The woman has an affinity for him and is preparing a response for what the guy will say during their first interaction. What typically happens is neither of them make the first move then over time their mutual affinity dissipates like it never existed.
Once upon a time, there was a young man named Caio who worked in a bustling office building. Every day, he saw a beautiful girl named Gabriela walk by, but he was too shy to talk to her. Despite his nervousness, Caio would steal glances at Gabriela whenever he could, admiring her grace and beauty from afar. As the days went by, Caio and Gabriela continued to exchange looks, and before he knew it, they began to acknowledge each other with small smiles and nods. They even found themselves accidentally bumping into each other from time to time, causing them both to blush and laugh in embarrassment. One day, Caio worked up the courage to invite Gabriela on a motorcycle ride. Although she was hesitant at first, she eventually agreed, and they spent the whole day cruising around town, enjoying each other's company. From that day forward, Caio and Gabriela started a beautiful life together. They went on many more adventures, laughed and cried together, and fell deeper in love with each passing day. And the best part? This story is real. It's the story of Caio and Gabriela, two people who were brought together by chance and decided to take a leap of faith and see where their connection could take them. The lesson we can learn from their story is that love and opportunities often go hand in hand. Sometimes, we have to take risks and put ourselves out there in order to find true happiness. And when we do, the rewards can be truly incredible. So don't be afraid to take a chance on love or any opportunity that comes your way. You never know where it might lead you.

Ahhhhh..... to be young again and not jaded and feel the all encompassing nature of young love and desire. This movie is magic. If my heart was an instrument, it is being played by this song.
For sure. I'm 32. Not old by most standards but old enough to not feel that fiery love that burns in your teens and through your 20s with a passion. What is sad is that, after ages of postponing watching this film, I came to watch it in 2022 not many months after my ex dumped my ass. After 9 years of relationship. Then I watched and many mannerism, interactions, behaviours of Amelie I could recognize in my ex, especially when we were younger and courting. She even had some resemblance to her. Wonder if she was inspired by Amelie somehow...
I came across this film quite by chance one evening when I was channel hopping, trying to find something half-decent to watch. I wasn't expecting much at first, but after a few minutes I realised I'd discovered something very special.

I fell in love with Amelie the first time I saw her. All these years later, seeing any clip of her, my heart beats a little faster and a little sadder. Unrequited love. (And no, I'm not delusional, I know she's just a character in a movie)
@craigmurrayauthor 😅 yeah, men like goofy girls. I see that when i wear my dead blind mole glasses and look ridiculous with them, and yet men like that🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Why do you have to mention "not delusional." Never apologize or seek society's approval for love. Your love is something very personal, only you will understand. If that's delusional.. then so be it.
I am so glad that only today, 23 years later, i discovered what is this music about. Because back in 2001 i was 12 and so in love for a girl that never looked at me. I used to cry every night. I would be the sadest guy if both loving her and listening to this music ever happened. Glad it didnt, but today i remembered the love i felt for her, not that she was the prettiest, just because she was special, she shined to my eyes. I dont know if i still love her, even after marriage and kids, sometimes i think about how could have been if she ever gave me a chance. Life is incredible, people are strong, and at same time thin as glass. I Love this song and i am glad i found out a meaning for it in my life.
The most beautiful thing in this world is to be yourself: ever weak and ever vulnerable... You feel love, longing, sorrow, love, and all the contradictory human feelings .. yet you are calm, and of a clear conscience.. only this: adds a meaning to your life.. and, i can never describe the music well enough, it's just penetratimg to the core of my heart...
After many years of practice I finally climbed the meije traverse on the descent from the refuge the guardian played this on his acordian. A haunting memory in a savage place.
I saw this movie played it in my university the very same year was out. I was so young didn’t quite understand the level of such quality artistry film making, the scenes, colors, physical spaces, the settings, the cafe, metro station,,,the way they use the camera angled,,,,so beautiful and greatly done. The music is beautiful, the story is so sweet, I have watched it at least 4 times. Now is a classic 👌🎭🎬🎼🎹
the most beautiful song I have encountered in a long time we need this. the Video is incredible and Transends my soul and my life as a whole, it is just beautiful.
Man, this song takes me back to my teenage years biking and cruising around town with my bros just chilling. When things were so simple and plain filled with joy and happiness. But that's life, the only constant is change and the wheel of life marches on even if we want it or not.
This movie and the piano piece are just *incroyable* !!! Exactly like a beautiful connection between a man and woman, and somehow the connection is lost over time because of fear from both sides of whether to be honest to each other or not! The scene at 0:52 is powerful! Listen to your heart! There is nothing more beautiful than when a woman accepts and reciprocates your love for her.
This has been my most favorite movie since I was 17. When it came out. I experienced a love... 2 or 3.... Now I'm 39. And it's still one of my most favorite movies.
❤ ... basta volerlo ...
This randomly came on my mix but it reminds me of middle school. There was a guy in my class who would play this piece on the piano often during music class. We were never friends and I was too socially awkward to ask what piece it was but I always found it so beautiful.
I've been listening to this piano piece for years... while never watched this movie... Yesterday I took the time to watch it and altho the movie is dated, I feel like I developed a feeling for this movie... it's so pure and I discovered a whole different feeling and emotion behind this track and movie.
I do not know why this song and movie is so substantial in my life but it is! My wife has asked me why I love this movie and song but have yet to give her an answer.
this song this video is beautiful, and it brought tears to my eyes, it is unique in the deliverance of love between two people, it spans many generations and describes love in all of us.
my confort film since I discovered It, this film has changed my whole point of view of my own reality, if I will have a daughter, I will call her Amelie, love love, and more love for everyone who is reading that without even know me...
My favourite film of all time. I love it. I only saw this film once when it was first released. From then on only bits and pieces. It is like I cannot see the whole picture because I am afraid the magic I once felt and it is still within myself, may dissapear, like my life, day by day.

Why do you have to mention "not delusional." Never apologize or seek society's approval for love. Your love is something very personal, only you will understand. If that's delusional.. then so be it.
One of my most favourite movies of all time.....We need more of that.

I love this movie and i will always come back to it for the rest of my life. The cinematography; the music, it's as close to perfect as can be.
Easley one of my favorite movies, makes me cry, laugh, think, lost track of how many times I've watched it.
For me the same!
I love the tenderness of those kisses at the door and Amelie holding him like he is a precious gift. Very moving.
One of the best pellicules de longue metrages sur l'amour that was ever made.
There are things we can't explain, this is one of those things.
After many years of practice I finally climbed the meije traverse on the descent from the refuge the guardian played this on his acordian. A haunting memory in a savage place.
Ohhhhh "La fabuleuse histoire d'Amélie Poulain"!
Yeah a masterpiece !
Breathe in deeply and this music will make you feel alive.
the most beautiful song I have encountered in a long time we need this. the Video is incredible and Transends my soul and my life as a whole, it is just beautiful.
One of the most beautiful movies ever made.
Audrey Tautou is very beautiful and a very good actress. I don’t speak French but I love to watch her movies with English translations.
Man, this song takes me back to my teenage years biking and cruising around town with my bros just chilling. When things were so simple and plain filled with joy and happiness. But that's life, the only constant is change and the wheel of life marches on even if we want it or not.
Whatchu up to now?
Who dared fixing Musik and story together??? Masterpiece!!!
Wow, what an amazing cut of this film. You really captured the narrative and the mood of the film. Well done.
whats movie name?

This movie and the piano piece are just *incroyable* !!! Exactly like a beautiful connection between a man and woman, and somehow the connection is lost over time because of fear from both sides of whether to be honest to each other or not! The scene at 0:52 is powerful! Listen to your heart!
There is nothing more beautiful than when a woman accepts and reciprocates your love for her.
This has been my most favorite movie since I was 17. When it came out. I experienced a love... 2 or 3.... Now I'm 39. And it's still one of my most favorite movies.

... ❤ ...
basta volerlo ...
excellent reminder, I will dig out my DVD copy tomorrow, its been too long since I've watch this magical story...
What a beautiful piece of music from a beautiful film.
A beautiful musical accompanyment to a beautiful film, you enriched my life.
Coucou !
This song makes me feel things that I've never felt before wtf dude
"The French romcom 'Amélie'..." LOL. Thanks for reminding me I need to watch this incredible movie and listen to its incredible soundtrack again.
This is what love feels like, if it ever existed in the first place, I wonder and hope that love does exist.
this song this video is beautiful, and it brought tears to my eyes, it is unique in the deliverance of love between two people, it spans many generations and describes love in all of us.
Such a beautiful film. I had to have the DVD. I recommend it and watch it regularly, for proper mental health.❤️
Beautiful music, the piano is such a majestic instrument.
Great is great. Doesn't matter when where or who, greatness always shines.
Amelie ist one of the most beaityful & emotional films I´ve ever seen. Comparing to other films I could watch it again & again.
Einfach nur schön. Könnte ich stundenlang hören (und sehen).
my confort film since I discovered It, this film has changed my whole point of view of my own reality, if I will have a daughter, I will call her Amelie, love love, and more love for everyone who is reading that without even know me...
I hope you meet a woman you can love again.
Meilleur film français de tout le temps
For anyone who has fallen in love requitet or not the sheer power of loving someone is huge. Love this movie and this clip ❤❤❤
My favourite film of all time. I love it. I only saw this film once when it was first released. From then on only bits and pieces. It is like I cannot see the whole picture because I am afraid the magic I once felt and it is still within myself, may dissapear, like my life, day by day.
I have the same fear with films and with music also
I feat that I will lose that original, authentic feeling I had at the first time
the aesthetics and photography director of this film are too much! killer soundtrack, ❤
