    • @Eastra3
      @Eastra3 Месяц назад +2

      The funny thing is that some of the weapons they are complaining about are not even close to outclassing the Bandit. Like when I heard one of them say the Disruptor is OP, because it can get a kill from the grave, I laughed so hard. The thing about the Needler and Disruptor having the ability to kill from the grave is not OP, because when you use those weapons, you are basically agreeing to trade the same way two people do when they are both low and melee each other rather than seeing who can land the first killing headshot. Most of the guns would just flat out kill you and your opponent lives rather than let you live a bit longer before dying after you opponent dies. So with melee lunging, I don’t want to hear anything about the Disruptor trading. There is nothing OP about a weapon that is at best a trading gun. I’m happy they gave the Disruptor it’s DoT back, because it gives it a purpose and made it slightly better, but it still has the lowest TTK in the game, and your opponent can still do a lot with the time he has before getting killed by tick damage.

    Broward covered this too and I commented on his video saying that GA's make the game boring. As a viewer, watching nothing but Bandit, Sniper and Rocket is going to get stale fast. One of Halo's unique qualities is that it is a competitive game that relies on map control through teamwork and strategy. Getting control of certain weapons is a part of that map control, which in turn gives the team who wins those fights the advantage. Trippy getting hold of the Heatwave and then flanking Faze last season shows how rewarding that can be, and it is normally earned. If he did that with just a Bandit he would get cooked immediately. I understand that the AR is a beast right now but taking the Heatwave or Bulldog out too is sad to see. The weapons are already normally put equal distance away from both starting spawns and teams make strategies to get control of them, which is a part of the game. If anything, keep them with lower ammo counts and put them on weapon pads instead.

    • @TheGawd100
      @TheGawd100 Месяц назад +3

      I don't understand how they're ga-ing the bulldog/heatwave but nobody even questions rockets. Are they really implying that rockets are more skillful than those weapons, or are they just selectively applying when they consider controlling the powerful weapons on the map important? Why are close range weapons dominating at close range such a deal breaker? Why were the shotguns never a problem before Infinite? This just seems dumb and pointless

    • @Eastra3
      @Eastra3 Месяц назад +2

      @@TheGawd100 They are being selectively biased. There is no consistency in their prejudice against most of the sandbox. They are just hiding behind the facade of ‘skill’, when really they are just trying to only use weapons that only require them to build one form of muscle memory and strafe cadence. Now the BR and Bandit have almost the same RoF, and the weapons they want to play with are almost completely precision hitscan. There are plenty of high skill projectile weapons in the sandbox, like the Skewer, Cindershot, Ravager, and Mangler, yet all of them have been removed. The only projectile weapon left is the easiest one to get kills with in the Rocket launcher. They do have the plasma pistol, but they barely even touch it, and that’s because it’s really only worth picking up if you have a sidekick, but both are map pick-ups, so its hard to get both of them in your hands.
      Then I almost forgot about the Sentinel Beam. It’s a hitscan laser that is purely tracking, which is a skill. Why is that gun not in ranked/HCS. There is nothing cheap or broken about that weapon.

    • @Eastra3
      @Eastra3 Месяц назад +2

      I don’t even think the pros have played with the AR or the Disruptor since the new patch. The Disruptor is better, but only slightly, as it still is one of the least lethal guns in the game. The AR was actually nerfed, because 343 didn’t put in their patch notes that full bloom with be achieved in 4 bullets rather than 8, so the AR’s medium range burst precision was stripped from it to make it marginally better in close quarters, which even that is debatable whether it got better in close quarters. It’s basically an SMG without the high RoF now. Now, I think some of the weapons the Pros requested to be out of the sandbox have nothing to do with them being strong, but with them being weak. Like the Pulse Carbine is not good at all, and I believe that is why it got removed from ranked/HCS, not because it has tracking.

  • @UTLF

      @@deankruse2891The funny thing is that almost all the weapons they took out of the competitive sandbox require skills. Some do not, but some weapons are just trash regardless if they take skills or not, so I think pros are hiding behind this ‘skill’ facade in order to only use weapons they are comfortable with so some new up-comer doesn’t snag their job. The Pro scene has basically become strafe hit-scan simulator, and Halo is much more than that. I think the Halo scene is afraid to lose their staple players, and just fold to their wishes, even though it hurts viewership. There are very good players waiting in the wings to play modern Halo, not Halo 2/3.
      I play on PC, so I’m all for console players getting their aim assist lowered. Matter fact, I only benefit from aim assist when using the Bandit, sidekick, BR, and AR. Aim assist actually screws me with hip fire when using shotguns and shock rifle. Feels like there is a slight repulsion when I flick aim that stops my crosshair just short of landing on them. I have less issue hip firing with the sniper, because it basically has no aim assists, and the Stalker doesn’t have as much either. So I find it funny that these pros want to talk about skill, because I think it’s easier to kill people with the sidekick than both the shotguns, and that’s because the shotgun’s rate of fires are just slow enough that you have to guess a strafe pattern, or you can just whiff half of your pellets with a shot.

If something is so bad to the point that it needs a GA it should just be fixed by the developers or just banned outright and be held accountable at tournaments rather than the players. Every other sport runs this way where players can bring something to a committee and then the committee makes an ultimate decision not the players themselves controlling how the game works. GAs are just dump.

There is so much more to Halo and CoD than just precision weapons like the Bandit EVO and BR in Halo, and one AR and one SMG with no Snipers in CoD. If that is all they want to use, then they should have someone make those games, instead of forcing this nonsense on Halo and CoD.

    To me, if pros are having to resort to GA’s, it’s a symptom of a greater issue: that 343 and hcs are asleep at the wheel. I would love for there to be a pro players’ union that worked closely with hcs to enact fixes and changes to the competitive settings, as well as adding or banning maps, on a much more frequent basis to not only keep the game fresh for viewers, but competitive for pro players in a way the majority agree is correct. It’s too late for infinite, but there’s always hope for whatever’s next.

    • @Eastra3
      @Eastra3 Месяц назад +1

      It’s not 343 being asleep at the wheel, but a differing opinion of what is competitive. With the way pros avoid the sandbox, they might as well just have loadouts and no weapon pick ups, because it seems to me like the pros do not want to play a sandbox shooter. Most of the weapons are competitive, and they still get removed from the HCS sandbox. I don’t want to hear the pros bitch about skill issue when they are afraid to use the Skewer, which is the epitome of skill risk and reward; projectile that requires predicting movement and projectile drop, land your 1 shot or else, but they will use the S7 sniper, which gives you 4 chances, and if you land a body shot, you can always just swap weapons to deliver a head shot with a weapon that benefits from a ton of aim assist. The greater issue is the pros, not 343. We all have our gripes about 343, but the HCS’s downfalls are due to some of the pros prejudice against anything that isn’t a precision hitscan, when in most shooters that have both projectiles and hitscans, hitscans are the easier to use of the two. Some of the pros are just being babies, and probably just mad they died to one of these weapons in some match, and made up their mind the weapon is stupid.

      @@TheGawd100 Yes, people want to act like the Bulldog and Heatwave can't lose to strafes, and because their dmg is based on how many pellets they land, not getting a clean shot is more than enough added time to get killed by a bandit.
      Also, I understand where they were coming from with the Mangler as well, but the sandbox balance is different now than it was back then. Back then the BR was the starting weapon, and similar to how the Bandit has an advantage over the BR in being able to generate clean full dmg hits rather than potential partial bursts, the Mangler would also land clean shots in close to medium range and far more reliable set up kills. Now the Bandit is the starting weapon, not the BR, and the Bandit is better in close quarters compared to the BR. Plus, the Mangler is at it's best when you have the sidekick, but the sidekick is a map pick-up, so the mangler 2 tap swap to a sidekick is hard to acquire. The whole Mangler 1 hit melee thing is overblown, because players rarely get up in your grill, even with ARs. There are like 5 other weapons that can 1-shot then melee for the kill, most of them aren't power houses, because the situations when you get to do that are uncommon, especially against coordinated teams that are pinging your position.

      The pros had the Skewer removed from the ranked/HCS sandbox. Just let that sink in. The Skewer is the most unforgiving precision weapon in the game. There are other projectile weapons that take skill, but were also banned. They really just want to use hitscan precision weapons only, and hit scans with all the aim assist Halo has is a lot easier than leading and steering projectiles, which doesn’t benefit from aim assist nearly as much. Then what about the Sentinel Beam? That puts your tracking skills to the test to the extreme, and that too is banned. I don’t want to here anything about ‘skill gap’ from these ‘pros’, because they are shying away from some of the most difficult weapons to use.
