Would love to own that van. It seems to be in first class shape. Congratulations 👏

I had a brand new light blue one whilst working for Abel alarm company. I remember changing down gears on approach to a roundabout and must have over revved it blowing up the engine. Was a great little van for its time though and this brought back some great memories.

There's one near me that's been parked on somebody's front garden for years.

Great review mate, a true rare sight these days, I’m old enough to remember these vans on the road, although as you said there wasn’t many.
I remember riding in one when I was a kid, no seats in the back, no seats just hanging on to the back of the front seat, totally illegal these days, those were the days.
Yes cars were definately more interesting back then, they all had their own identity, their own sound.
You knew for example without looking when a Morris Minor was coming up the road, and a Mk1 or mk2 Ford Fiesta just by how they sounded.
Now cars are all the same, no individuality with only the badge to tell you what it is.

😊 Great car, especially in a extraordinary rare van version. On the mainland Vauxhall's have always been extremely rare. But let's be honest the Opel C Kadett van was nearly as rare as the Vauxhall sister modell really. Luckely this van has somehowe managed to survive!

Its German cousin, Opel Kadett was available with 1.6 and 1.9 liters engines wich made it more powerful. My sisters 1.6 S Kadett from 1978 outrun my Ascona 2.0 S from 1980.

I bet Chevanne's were good in their day but probably fell apart quick.
