Thanks Bill , trying this rack for the first time , instructions and video are awesome , got it in the oven now, can’t wait to get through the rest period to cut up ,thank you very much
I enjoyed your video, and the fact that it's how to roast a small cut in general, not specifically a recipe. Rack of lamb for Christmas dinner, and now I feel confident that it will be a success! Merry Christmas
Great presentation with excellent explanations of all steps although I thought you would have covered the rack with olive oil to prevent excessive drying. Maybe searing in oil serves that purpose partly. At what oven temperature did you roast the rack after searing on the pan? Also, if I wanted medium instead of rare, how long should I need to heat and to what internal temp? What would be different if I were using a wet rub--like crushed garlic and maybe some vinegar and/or yogurt?? Thanks in advance.
This is a great video apart from the most critical part of the temperature and time to roast the lamb… The sudden jump to ‘it’s 25 minutes later’ isn’t the most helpful. And if this rack really spent 25 minutes in a hot oven, it would be ruined.
That's what I'm saying hello.. Thanks for the info but now I have to Google that I kinda already know about roasting racks don't need that lesson but I do need to know temperature in the oven thanks but too late...
While I prefer my rack of lamb rare, I can enjoy med rare as well. However, taking it out at 135f will be well done lamb. It will climb about 15f more. Way overcooked. I take it out at 105f-110f and rest for a nice rare.
What about reverse searing? Roast the rack in the oven first; then let it rest and finally sear it just before serving. No need to rest it again and would look nicer. ( this is the theory )
Excellent video - so clear with the principles of how and why extremely well explained and demonstrated.
Great video. Extremely helpful. Thank you!
Great vid. Straight to the point. Four steps. Thanks!

Every time I cook I use your recipe and it comes out great! I hope you will post more recent videos. Thank you!
great informative video, precise instructions, no extraneous nonsense
I cooked it at 375 for only 20 min and it came out perfect. I let it rest 6 min. 1lb rack

I just use olive oil, salt pepper and garlic. I think tonight I will add Italian herbs.

What degrees was the oven?
Best instructions I’ve seen
Tried this way..perfect . Cheers Bill
Does it have to be room temp before you sear?
what temperature and for how long do you leave in the oven?
375 degrees (180 celsius) for 25 minutes (he did say it and it also scrolled up the screen at the beginning)
@@Factotum6814 180 c is 355 f, not 375

The temperature you need is 190C

I like my lamb rare. I take it out at 125 and let it rest about ten minutes. It always comes out great. It is easy, fast and seems festive.
@@nbenefiel I like my lamb rare too, but 125 is not rare. Need to take it off around 105-110 and it will continue to cook to 115-120, which is rare.
Thank you !
What temperature should the oven be set on
Answer?

how log do you leave it in the oven?
How to marinate a goat
And also, what about adding pepper at the end to prevent it from becoming bitter from cooking?
Can you tell me what the temperature of the oven is
375 degree oven or until the rack of lamb reaches an internal temperature of 135-140 degrees
