I just bought one of these today. I really wish I could have waited until 12th gen were readily available but I was in a situation where my work laptop went kaput and I literally needed something today, so I found one at Best Buy for $1400 (doesn't have 3050, was also $200 off). Despite coming in late on this, I actually really like this laptop! It's purely for basic software development / office apps and so far has been working great! I really hope the 12th gens come out in the next couple weeks and are available because although this machine is working well for me, it would be nice to have the 12th gen upgrades (especially longer battery life) and I'm still in the return window, hah. Anyway, nice honest review!
@@califorupha1574 Congrats! Despite mine being last gen I still enjoy using it still. I do wish the battery lasted a bit longer, but from what I understand the 12th gens are better in that regard, so looks like you made a good choice!
@@MrEcted Yeah thanks! I needed a new laptop since I gave my old one to my spouse. It was a gaming laptop but I didn't feel like it's for me since I mostly used it for productivity and the battery life was absurd. I also wanted to know how much battery life hours you are getting on average with the one you have? I would assume that the 3k screen might be a factor as well as the backlit keyboard.
Brought one today as it was listed as one of the top 10 laptops, then I saw your video, and I'm glad I made the purchase (job will reimburse me) I don't play games, so it's perfect. Any suggestions on some great app to accompany it? Thanks
Need some help please. Most I'm buying a laptop for work and entertainment. NO gaming or maybe minimal. I absolutely need a big display (15.6" is perfect for me). I need natural colors and deep blacks. Don't care about popping colors much. I prefer true to life. I might have to do some multitasking like usually my chrome tabs take upto 2 - 2.5 GB of cache memory. I could do with a dedicated graphic card but can you please tell me if iris xe can handle my needs? I usually edit videos but mostly small size so I do not need a big cpu or gpu. So my questions are - For natural colors and deep blacks which 15" 1440p panel should I choose and what refresh rate? (I do not game but I need very smooth video quality) Can Iris XE handle 4k videos on 1440p screen? A 2 in 1 laptop with 15" 1440p resolution around my price would be a dream come true. My budget is around 1200$ slightly flexible. Thank-you for taking the time :)
Hello. Good time My English is not very good and I have just learned English, I apologize in advance if there is a mistake in the text of my message. In general (for design and heavy work), which one do you choose: samsung galaxy book2 pro 360 or msi summit e16 flip or hp specter x360 16 + RTX (2022) ?????? If you have any other offer besides these two laptops, tell me .... Please guide me accurately and completely ....
There is ZERO evidence that Intel 12th Gen processors will yield better battery life. Facts are Intel has been completely silent on the topic of battery life. Probably because their 12th Gen Core i9-12900K has been shown to be a battery hog. "Is it too LATE?!? - HP Spectre X360 laptop" - ShortCircut's title. "HP Spectre x360 16 2-in-1 Review - Perhaps Just A Tad Too Late" - your title.
Because our findings align, thus similar titles. We don’t lie about our findings and say otherwise, that’s not right. In short, it is still a little late for sure. Here’s hoping there’s a 12th-Gen refresh soon!
@@Terafied Yes, you are right. This model is late and needs a specs refresh this Spring or people will ignore it for more up-to-date options. For one example, the upcoming Lenovo Yoga 7i 16 with 12th gen CPU and Arc A GPU. HP needs to compete. Otherwise, very nice design on the Spectre as usual. If someone gave me one I would happily enjoy it, but I would definitely not buy this model, at that price, at this time.
@@tappersreviews4677 Wrong. The non-OLED 16 inch Spectre was sold out on HPs website until a couple of days ago. Also, individuals, educational institutions, governments, businesses, and corporations all keep their computing devices for 5-7 years which proves silly specs and dumb benchmarks don't matter. My backup 17-inch ASUS laptops with an 8th Gen i7 processor works just as well as my new 16-inch HP Spectre with an 11th Gen i7 processor. So buying a 12th Gen i7 HP Spectre instead of this 11th Gen Spectre will have ZERO impact on the work or school productivity of 99% of the public. This is why MacBook's still only have 7-8% laptop market share 3 years after M1 processors hit the market. What laptoop consumers (who aren't gamers) care about is hardware that enhances their work experience (not specs).

Hey I just bought this laptop for $1149 and still waiting on getting it next week. It’s a 12th gen model without the gpu but I’m so excited!

@@Terafied What would be a better pickup the iPad Pro 12.9 m1 or the go spectre x360 with 3k display ips. I mainly watch videos?
Still researching if I should get this or the Samsung Gallaxy Book 2 pro 360
i would take one even with 8th gen, my 1030 g4 doesn't come close in gaming. Otherwise much the same i think for business media etc
Name of the shows that you played please
Would you recommend this or the asus 15q 4k oled with 1650 ti and hdr, among other things. I can't decide
