This was something I needed to hear, and some of your wisdom I needed to hear again. I just got back to streaming, and I love the heck out of it. RUclips is great, but I wasn't pleased with how I did content. I'm actually still making changes to reform my platform and make content creation mine instead of feeling like appealing to nerd culture circles will be satisfying. I didn't feel like I was engaged with my audience. Streaming makes me feel like I actually am doing something, if that makes sense. Thank you again for this video.
Thanks so much for the thoughtful comment Hoovalicious TV 💚💜 I'm glad to hear streaming is giving you fulfillment, and you can always bring that energy back to RUclips in future. Certain platforms click/don't click easy depending on the individual, but end of the day you have to enjoy what you're doing. I appreciate you watching!
RUclips, and social media at large is very stressful. There’s a lot that comes with having a following and pressure to be a specific way. Honestly, it’s not something I am focused on at this point. I’m much happier doing my own thing, making (mostly) silly statements on Twitter (something that I have finally restricted myself on using.) But enough about me, as long as you’re just being yourself and being generally content with your life, things are pretty okay. If things get tough, we’re here for you. Even if that means taking a break from things.
Stay obscure because you can have the best experience that way hehe :P I appreciate the perspective and thoughtful comment Broken. I made this video after a long break so I've managed to work through some things andn wanted to share my thoughts :3
A lot of these things can be well understood out of the content creation sphere as well, thank you for the reminder to be kind to ourselves. Thanks Nos.
I'm late to watching this, not because I didn't see it, or wasn't interested.. but because of the exact thing you brought to light. Burnout is real. The toll it can take on a creator, both in a physical and mental sense is extreme. I spent months trying to force myself to keep going, thinking negatively of myself every time I didn't do what I felt was 'enough'.. it took me until people who know me IRL - friends, family, and even those who help me create content, said that I was spiraling. From one creator to another, and from one friend to another, Nos - genuinely thank you for covering this topic. Mental health is so so so important, and it gets so easily overlooked with creators.. it makes things so difficult, and hard to keep going. I hope your well, much love brother 💙
I'm glad to hear your spending more time to find a way to still make some fun videos while keeping your mental health in a safe state. You deserve to be a big goofy yeef and enjoy it without freaking out about numbers and negative comments
Keep up the amazing work your content is inspiring and very creative!! Love it soo much !! 🥰 and being yourself is the best and love is love thanks for inspiring me nos your one of my fave furry content creators!

See this I why I have such mixed feelings about the idea of starting to post furry content on my channel. I hear so much about the mental health struggles content creators go through and I worry about possibly going through those same struggles on top of the ones I already have
I think there's a better support system developing for creators and it's important to talk about, main thing is to do what helps make you happy and you can pace yourself when putting content out, it doesn't have to be a struggle if you curate a positive experience for yourself. Thanks so much for watching G

I really feel for you and I must admit, I don’t feel my channel has succeeded in ways that I hoped it would. I have been wondering if it was something to do with the content that I was doing, but I guess that RUclips’s algorithm and the way the site generally is has played a huge part in it. A few years ago, I would see people within the furry community being able to even make a career or gain a good income because of how well their channels have been succeeding. Nowadays it’s very difficult for new channels like this one I started in 2020, and this is also for people outside of the fandom. RUclips as a whole has developed into something that is just terrible for new creators, it fails to help them reach their goals because of a completely broken algorithm. I think since the pandemic the viewership of furry content has really started to be split across a lot of sites, with Twitch and Tik Tok being the biggest rivals (I am on both 😛) The algorithm is a hard beast to tackle, but honestly the only way to find a way to break through from a plateau is to keep trying and reinventing! I don't have any ill will towards RUclips because their algorithm is why I have a sizeable platform in the first place, but it definitely is much harder for new creators to break through - I've seen it myself! That all being said, don't give up and even the creators that you and I look up to also experience the same kinds of difficulties that we do with the algo (though higher up the content creator totem pole than us) Best of luck and don't give up! If you love to create, create for the love and don't put so much stock into the views

RUclipsrs must take care of themselves first before thinking about creating content for others. Whether that be taking time off, doing other things, etc.
Speaking of burnout I experienced burnout to the extreme around late march of this year TikTok was “apparently” going to be shut down forever in the beginning of April so I decided to grind and make as many TikTok’s as I could before April I ended up making over 70 TikTok’s in like a week and half maybe 2 weeks but around day 2 after I’ve made like 15-17 I felt burnout I decided to push through that which was very unhealthy looking back and it got worse and worse it got so bad I was sacrificing sleep over making TikTok’s my motivation to make TikTok’s like I had up to that point for years completely crashed I didn’t want to make them anymore like *anymore* but I kept doing them all the fun was gone and it was now becoming super unhealthy for me and stressful ever since then my motivation to make TikTok’s has kinda come back but it’s never going to be 100% again because I pushed through burnout super hard and I’ve suffered for it take care of yourself furries💖💖
If everyone would just chill the hell out all this stuff would be a lot more doable. Too much too quick is not something people were meant to be. Oh then there's that whole thing with people projecting upon us? I have a very thick skin when it comes to stuff like that. I make what I make because I like to make it. I don't make it for them. And I'm very used to people projecting their own stuff on me, to where I can easily just tune it out.
Good attitude!! Every content creator that grows to a certain size will get complainers/haters etc. Regardless of how wrong it may seem it comes with the territory
Perhaps you should take a break for a while; your mental health should come first and foremost. Don't worry about us; we'll understand if you need time to recharge.

Dq I appreciate you continuing to watch! I'm in a very lucky position but with more eyeballs means more stress lol. Best advice if you get a mean comment when you're small is just to delete/block and move on, it's miserable ppl wanting to spread their misery around imo

Nice video I love it
Thanks so much Lance!

*boops* Your snoot is boopable. Also, you're musky good enough woof.
Keep the good work.
Hiya 𝕷𝖊𝖌𝖔𝖘𝖎 𝕴𝖓𝖚𝖌𝖆𝖒𝖎 🐺 thanks for watching!!
These are the reasons why I stopped uploading
Awwr I hope you can find some creative enjoyment in future Wrenchy 💚💜
Perhaps you should take a break for a while; your mental health should come first and foremost. Don't worry about us; we'll understand if you need time to recharge.
It's good advice Jace, I've actually taken a long break and I talk about it in the video :3
3= atleast u still here! im not really that used to people actually watching my stuff, im usually supported and stuff but im just waiting for somebody to insult me -.-
Dq I appreciate you continuing to watch! I'm in a very lucky position but with more eyeballs means more stress lol. Best advice if you get a mean comment when you're small is just to delete/block and move on, it's miserable ppl wanting to spread their misery around imo
@@NosHyena tysm! :0 I really like ur channel and it really made my day go up from what's been going on in my life, I never thought I would get a reply from you! :0

Hiya!!
I'm boy UwU
Solid advice Nos. I always say, if someone is getting overwhelmed with making content, don’t be afraid to step back and take a break. Just like people take a vacation to get away from their jobs for a bit. Thanks for the video Nos.
Thanks so much Brimstone
@@NosHyena absolutely.
