    About Cole & Charisma:
Welcome to the official Roll with Cole & Charisma RUclips channel! Since the start of our relationship we've gotten a lot of questions about our experiences as not only an interracial couple, but an interabled one as well. On this channel you can catch us doing travel and adventure vlogs, challenges, our inclusion series, couple first times, music, and so much more! We started this vlog to bring people into our lives, to answer some questions about how we navigate the world, and hopefully raise awareness surrounding accessibility and dating in a wheelchair. You'll quickly see in our episodes that we're all about inclusion and keeping a great attitude no matter your circumstances, so if that's what you're into, you're in the right place!

Seeing lots of questions abut why Sophie didn't alert Charisma when I had fallen over. Sophie is indeed trained to alert/retrieve Charisma, and has done so many, many times. In this instance the door was closed so she was unable to. We also don't encourage her to bark, as we are often in spaces with her where barking would be inappropriate (plus, if Charisma couldn't hear my yell, she couldn't have heard Sophie's bark). We don't want her scratching the door, either, for obvious reasons. Someone also asked if she would be able to help me right myself, and that is definitely something we've tried working with her on. The difficulty is that I'm simply a very large guy, and so righting me can prove difficult for even able-bodied humans, let alone a 50lb dog. Furthermore, without tricep function, it's challenging for me to push myself up off of her back. Sophie does a great job and, in this instance, there was nothing else for her to do. The main service she provides for me is picking things up off the ground, which she does like 50 times a day lol

We have medic alert type buttons for our house. They are like door bell buttons that can set off an interior monitor. I have one by my bed and my husband has one by his chair. They do not call an agency or a 911 service. They are just for the inside of the house. Cole can hang one on his chair or hang it around his neck when he is outside. So glad Cole is ok!

I understand exactly what Charisma and Cole was saying about family. I'm a part of the disabled community and when it was time for me to be on my own I had trouble believing if I could do it.
Family was all I knew and them being by myself was scary. I wanted to be on my own and I wanted to be with family but it was time to stand on my own two feet 👣 and put into practice what my family had taught me how to survive and thrive without them. And I have lived here in California all my life I was born here that's what I know but I want to experience new things in going places that I have never gone too.
I still have family around, I can call them if I need them in some way shape or fashion. But I have done really well without my family being around. That's do to God's help and timing.
I have family here and then I have family in different states but we do are best to stay connected.
I have grown so much since I have been on my own and accomplished a lot of things that I never knew wre possible.
I realy had to get myself together aftee my mom passed in 2002, I still had responsibilities to my dad that was sick as well.and I did the best I could with God's help and family my sister. I'm a self and peer advocate advocate for people with disabilities as myself. And I have always advocated for others and I don't know that I was doing exactly what I wanted to do my purpose in life.
I have been through a lot in my journey having to deal with roommates and so much more. And I came out on the other side victoriously.
I live on my own and I 'm happy where I am. I'm stable and I don't have to answer to anyone but God. I'm going very well and I 'm really proud of myself and especially not giving in to others that tried to count me out.
I'm so happy for you guys and I know that you will be just fine. Your making a live of your own and that's a good thing. You took the risk and the challenge and you are going great. I'm telling you from experience. The best is yet to come.❤❤❤❤❤☺️☺️☺️🙏👍💪😘😘

I resonate with what you said. I’ve moved a lot and it’s always hard. Like your target experience, everything feels more difficult after moving because it’s unfamiliar. Everything takes more effort after moving and eventually becomes easier after time, gaining familiarity, and having a routine. It’s hard without family nearby but it’s also great you have great connections and relationships with you families.
Best of luck to you and your endeavors.

Poo is just poo, we should be more used to it but there’s an embarrassment attached to it. I have Crohn’s disease so been there and done that! I’m not in a wheelchair but I do walk with a stick and have mobility issues so sometimes can’t get to the bathroom quickly enough! You just got to go with it and have a giggle. Glad you are settled now in LA. I’m from the U.K., but have visited a few states, LA was awesome.

Oh, I know you two will be just fine. Mishaps and mistakes, falls, accidents etc. it happen to the best of us whether disabled or not. I don’t know if anyone would be willing to admit it but bowl accidents happen to grown men more often than you think and they are not disabled. It’s “the mystery of the mistaken toot poop” or the “I thought I had time poop” so you’re not alone. But thank you so much for being so real and transparent with your struggles. And then to see that you’ve gotten through it and can laugh a-little about it; both of you are brave and strong people and pretty cool too.. thank you for sharing. Oh and congrats again on your new home.

After listening to how your west coast adventure/chapter started, I admire the two of you even more! It was a lot for you to move your entire lives here, leaving your safe zone/family and friends but I felt you two must have had faith that the time was right for your next chapter to be a BIG one! I am happy California has grown on you and that it’s now everything and more than you expected. It’s true that it had probably had the two of you grow even stronger together for what’s happened and what you’ve already accomplished! Rock on you two - power is with you! Proud of you - a fellow Californian who welcomed you with wide open arms!! ❤

I took care of both parents and I was there when my mom took her last breath. God granted that ro me and I still had my dad an I took care of him until he passed in 2013. I have moved many times and I have been through ups and downs but God has always been with me and I take both my parents along with me everywhere I go.
I have a strong foundation because of family and my mom that didn't give up on me. She was a prayer warrior and intercessor prayer warrior as well and taught me how to pray 🙏🏾an be independent and strong 💪 in the mist of everything. I have had to do things on my own terms and I have been successful at it.
I jave take care of others now its my turn to take care of me and be happy. Make myself a priority now.
I have lost a lot but I have gained a lot as well

If I was only a few states away definitely would’ve drove back to Ohio 🤣🤣; I’m a lurker 👀 been watching since the beginning but just now subscribed🤦🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️; so happy for your journey

Hey guys, you can install kind of a panic button in Cole's chair pretty easy and cheap for these situations that are emergencies, this way he can save some seconds instead of calling and since it IS a panic button it is easier for him on a panic situation to remember about it rather than having to think of strategies to reach Charisma. So the way I imagine this is buying those wireless doorbells, plugging the sound outlet inside the house and sticking the button to his wheelchair so with a click he can ring the bell inside your home. Just think very well where to stick the button, so it's in an strategic place for him to reach from many positions and try to choose one with a big button so he doesn't need precision and is able to press with his wrist movement.

You2 are the sweetest for sharing and laughing at the prior experiences you had on arriving in LA. Cole, interestingly when I go to a new big city my body has to adjust to the local endemic organisms not part of my natural gut biome and I can feel sick. Regarding the people who "hate LA" due to their personal beliefs, bias, indoctrination I'd simply say to them to join a group or society that does NOT teach hate, discrimination, bias, supremacy, etc. I ignore those statements and ask God "Please protect me from those who mention your name but practice hate"
