This was an interesting storm to see transition the way it did. It actually stole the thunder of a second low further northeast - Nicole prevented a possible Owen. The wind field didn't seem to close as much as it could have - radar had a huge eye. Florida was probably lucky Nicole didn't have more time to get going; it would have really been rough.
You deserve a much needed rest, just remember we want you to keep doing the amazing things you do, but your safety as well as others that don't take needed breaks scares some of us. I know how it feels to be so tired but you want to keep going, I've driven before and not remembered how I got to a place. Even a 30 minutes cat nap helps.🙌👍🏻🙏☺️😉
I took my first steps on St. Augustine beach a long time ago. Nicole is still letting us know, in the Tampa bay area, that she isn't done yet. Be safe out there.
Would have helped had you been around for hurricane andrew. I know tech wasn't what it is now and you were probably pretty young in 92. We all huddled over our babies trying to protect them while brian norcross gave us updates over the radio. He was our hero then. You're wearing a much bigger hat and you fill it nicely. Thank you RT.
Excellent coverage Dr. Timmer! I never thought that one day you'd be chasing 10 minutes away from my school. It was an awesome moment getting to meet you and I wanted to say thank you for taking a picture with me, especially during such an intense chase. Never stop chasing!
@Reed Timmer WOW awesome production massive footage so much danger you put yourself in to show us the intensity of a hurricane 🌀, Huge respect Reed, thanks 🙏🌀
I watched the live feed as long as I could. Have to be at work at 5:30. Glad you are safe. Great wrap up video! I hope you live stream any tornadoes you chase until it’s over.
This was really educational and i like the way you presented the video. I was south of this storm in Boca Raton and we didnt get much action thankfully. Although Nicole tore some of our beach piers apart
I lived on satellite Beach I moved a year ago after a surprise pop-up storm I could see the writing on the wall. Between Patrick Air Force Base and NASA’s craziness and the way the water was changing I knew time was short sell the house.
@Reed Timmer, my favorite storm chaser, next time your in Fla, plz come take me for a storm...everytime I watch you🌀 it's like I'm experiencing it live...Thank you❣️
Reed you crazy. Wish I could be there with yuh when you where there. Was so excited 2 see my first tornado back in 98' +/- here in Wisconsin I ran outside and the heavy duty screen door ripped rite off from the wind.
I'm a big fan. Thank you for all you do and show in the name of weather! Any time there's a big system 🌪🌫🌀 anywhere, I'll tell Mom, "Reed's there!" And she'll go, "Reed!!!😁" Stay safe out there 🙏🏽 💗
Ahh my home town of Brevard county. When we were teenagers we used to take sheets And go out into the eye. The wind gusts would pick us up like we were hang gliding.
Reed, I don't know if you'll ever see my message I sent you on Instagram, but it was an honor to meet you during this chase of this storm. Again I'm sorry for being a bother to you, it's just I look up to you and just want to learn from you. It was a once in a life time opportunity for me to have been able to meet you, so I hope you understand why I took the chance to meet a legend such as yourself. I really hope I get a chance to officially meet you one day and actually have a real conversation with you about weather and things in that nature. Again thank you for giving me a chance to speak with you the brief moment that we did talk. It really meant a lot to me. - Stephan Gainer Jr
Omg were you down the street from me??? I live beachside across the causeway from melbourne Damn now im mad I was out like 2 am on A1A im in IHB I got a little footage from the ocean around 5 pm
The most impressing thing was the SIZE of Nicole, absolutely giant storm. BTW, hurricane categories are kinda broken, its not the wind that does the most damage, it is the storm surge and the rain.
There were transformers blowing up all night Driving on A1A there are all those condos on the beach and if you drive by them, the wind kind of funnels between them making the wind even stronger Reed do you need a partner in crime??? lol Im ready
Wow! Fortunately I’m on the mainland in Melbourne. This was the most intense cat 1 I have seen so far. My thoughts about that is perhaps these storms also need to be rated by their size and power.
Back in the 70's, i thought they were going to start putting the electrical wires underground in more places, and they never really did that except for certain areas, especially rich ones....Maybe they will start doing that more, but the price of electric will be sky high....
I love about 100 yards from that 7/11 you were at. You sure made it look far worse than it really was. Just like Jim Cantorri. Slept through most of it.
This man loves his job.
A few of the notable moments from the marathon livestream still going on NOW as tornado threats are still a danger! Ba safe!

Same to you!!! Wow!!
I absolutely had a good laugh when you got all 🦃 on us 🤣🤣🤣😂, you're a wonderful young man.
Be safe Dr. Reed. Thank you for keeping us informed.

He found the 👁 Ian hurricane it was huge as Andrew

Love St.Augustine hi and be safe
You really give us the true opportunity to experience your dangerous adventures. Cool, crazy? Just be safe wild man!
Nobody knows what Reed was saying during eyewall lol I love his enthusiasm!!
I watched the live feed as long as I could. Have to be at work at 5:30. Glad you are safe. Great wrap up video! I hope you live stream any tornadoes you chase until it’s over.
Great presentation reed, great video of hurricane nicole.
Love this footage, very well done.
Never stop chasing!

Great video as always reed! Awesome footage
I lived on satellite Beach I moved a year ago after a surprise pop-up storm I could see the writing on the wall. Between Patrick Air Force Base and NASA’s craziness and the way the water was changing I knew time was short sell the house.
What was the max reported wind speed in Melbourne during the eyewall?
Nicely produced little video of this Hurricane. It kind of gave you everything you needed to know in a nut shell
Damn I stayed awake as long as I could but I guess I missed all the good parts of the stream last night. Reed you are a machine!
Yessir it didn’t come in until 2-4 am!
There’s some “Pecos Hank’ish” tunes in here. Beautiful footage. Get some well deserved sleep Dr. Timmer.❤
Nice footage Reed. Thanks.
Awesome!!
He's having too much fun 🌀 😃

@Maddie Ann hopefully that last part doesn't end up being the case. Thanks 4 reading.
Stay safe Reed Timmer 😳
Total Domination of the Eyehole.
And yet again, as expected, he fully Timmered it🎯⚡️🗽
Hey! I was just south of the hurricane got some gusts and winds and rain of course but not bad all in all!
Yes that was the softer side of the hurricane especially one like this with some tilt
I’m definitely naming my kid reed
You the man reed. Was on beachside new Smyrna and watched you the whole time. 🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽 thank you for everything
Can you list a link of what kind of drone your using please!
I'm a big fan. Thank you for all you do and show in the name of weather! Any time there's a big system 🌪🌫🌀 anywhere, I'll tell Mom, "Reed's there!" And she'll go, "Reed!!!😁" Stay safe out there 🙏🏽 💗
I am in Saint Agustine, Florida. I was really bad.
Nice music choices!
Very cool.....I was down there for the tropical storm part
Does anyone know what app that is that he keeps flipping the screen back to?
Radar omega I think
@@luv2luv720 if it is, it must be the alpha version
Likely the Windy.com app!
@@ReedTimmerWx best app!
Ahh my home town of Brevard county. When we were teenagers we used to take sheets And go out into the eye. The wind gusts would pick us up like we were hang gliding.
Maybe this is why I feel unsettled.
Reed Reed, movie chase, there are more intense images of Hurricane Nicole in Florida on RUclips, nice video 👍
Definitely would be wearing a brain bucket for this other than that great recap.
Did it blow any roofs off?
Мощно!

There were a lot of tornado warnings at like east stopping at the Virginia Maryland boarder. I live in Richmond va and I got a tornado.
7:22 Whetstone Chocolate!
hello dr timmer
I livd in Palm bay Slept through it
I was hunkered down in Satellite Beach. That is very dangerous to do what this fellow is doing. Even my dogs refused to go out in this weather.
Omg were you down the street from me??? I live beachside across the causeway from melbourne Damn now im mad I was out like 2 am on A1A im in IHB I got a little footage from the ocean around 5 pm
Wow that's rare to catch a transformer bursting like that + hurricane footage like that.
The most impressing thing was the SIZE of Nicole, absolutely giant storm.
BTW, hurricane categories are kinda broken, its not the wind that does the most damage, it is the storm surge and the rain.
That large area of northeasterlies with the subtropical transition as well
Oh my god... I didn't knew that category 1 storm can blow up Florida's east coast completely...
Just the persistent onshore flow up there with the big wind field of this storm
I feel really bad for florida. Even though I checked the weather and it was a tornado warning because of Hurricane Nicole
DAM THEN I WAS LUCKY
bro the hurricane hit me but the power didn't go out
😮😮😮
and the winds were 24- 49 mph
nicole is stronge
Poor Floridians! I think I'd be ready to pack up and move to another state.
Why so a few hurricanes happen you can prepare for them go to NY CHI LA and get mugged weekly Na we will take our storms
Everyone thinks cat 1 hurricanes aren’t bad and Nicole only had 75 mph
Back in the 70's, i thought they were going to start putting the electrical wires underground in more places, and they never really did that except for certain areas, especially rich ones....Maybe they will start doing that more, but the price of electric will be sky high....
Ah well. Sad but the Governor will take care of any issues.
330K I WAS NOT ONE
ALMOST ONE THO
hmm
Isaiah 28:2,17-19,22.
Where is your helmet omg you always forget to protect yourself
I love about 100 yards from that 7/11 you were at. You sure made it look far worse than it really was. Just like Jim Cantorri. Slept through most of it.
lol my ass
You dropped the ball by not following it across Florida.😂🤫so all we got was a 1 dimensional storm when you could have brought it to us in 3D buddy...
