  • Never before seen footage of the most intense part of the eye wall of Hurricane Ian in Pine Island, Florida which was the southern eye wall with WNW moving tropical cyclone. We noted lightning. This most intense portion of the eye wall happened just after we sagged south out of the blue sky eye. Whiteout conditions ensued.

Yes, it's gonna be tough to keep pets in temporary housing, and for those forced to motels and friends and relatives homes. We have a lot of pitbull owners, and they aren't welcome in many places.
I'm in Tampa, and didn't see any squirrels or birds scurrying or flying about for hours after the sun was shining and the gusts finally died down. We also had our first cold front come through on Ian's heels, so the wildlife must have been like, "wtf?!"

I don’t know how we all made it who did but there’s hundreds dead just in lee county alone. I wouldn’t doubt it for a second… there’s bodies all over out there.. anywhere debris got pushed.. sift through and you’ll be finding bodies. Entire islands are wiped out. Time square on fort Myers’s beach is just… truly gone. Not a building left standing. Somewhere with grew up going, hundreds of businesses and homes.. gone. Entire hotels gone. We know people were in them and they’re gone. Those bodies aren’t recoverable in many cases. And just yesterday they started searching homes. Just to clarify what this sort of thing does to a body..they can’t even tell if the remains are even human…. I don’t know how that’s even possible to not be able to tell but I don’t wanna know. Im watching your video for the first time and it's unbelievable! We rode out the eastern eye wall, the only part of the eye we realized was a definite brightening overhead. It wasn't long after when what I considered to be the worst part of the storm moved in. The winds were worse during the second half of the storm. I have to give major kudos to our roofer, we didn't lose one shingle! Although, we lost tree's, one window and our pool cage and lanai almost blew off the side of the house, that will need to be replaced.
