I've drinked up to 10 cups of hot tea per day. Yes, 10 (ten) cups per day. It lasted for no less than 15 years. For that reason I never use clipless pedals because finding shoes that fit is impossible. The moral of the story: fuсk caffeine, drink water.
Cool video. Interesting how some selective things are so hypocritically normalised. When it becomes an addiction, that's not so ideal. For me it's easier to quit alcohol than coffee. I'm not entirely alcohol free, I just drink a good beer every 3-4 weeks, something like that and it's no problem, but man coffee is really harder. I stopped drinking coffe in the afternoon, that's a start, but yeah could be better.
Quite funny to see you making a video about quit drinking coffee. I cut coffee off about 3 weeks ago 😅 I reached a point where I felt really bad, with having high blood pressure. The worst part is I had this 10 years ago already and now found myself again in this state. I hope I keep my hands away from it for good, really don't need to experience it again. 🙃
As someone who makes, tests and tastes coffee for a living - it's still surprising to me how habitual it is for people to drink way more than their body needs, at times when the body "shouldn't" need it, the extreme reliance on coffee to overcome the impact of many bad habits people have. The real issue isn't coffee or caffeine itself, but the lack of education and knowledge on how it works. It's very possible to have a high caffeine consumption and still lead a very healthy and balanced daily routine, but it involves some discipline, paying attention to timing and some numbers.
only thing it's good to give up..... habits. whether it's coffee, or booze, netflix, the 'news'... whatever.... moderately, most things aren't going to harm you. it's the HABIT, that's the problem.
So i see you went from fixie hipster look to a k-pop stan look...what an interesting character development XD Great vid BTW! I'm dialing down on coffee too since a few weeks, and i do actually feel different. For those who wish to quit coffee to improve something: if you don't have health issues (heart, nerves) - do not punish yourself, enjoy your drink, live your best life 😊
Eggheads suggest coffee in moderate amounts (1-2 cups per day, like) can be beneficial for liver. Who knows. Maybe. Maybe not. I just don't believe caffeine is reason of high blood pressure, unless consumed daily in high doses. Cup or two for healthy individual unlikely does harm. Sugar and cream people use to add to coffee is more harmful without burning that calories.

Ones Life has so many more factors that come together. Even though overthinking your daily habits is a good thing I guess. Good for you you're doing fine!
I can attest that as a coffee lover that taking too much caffiene is a horrible feeling especially since I have anxiety issues. I brew my own coffee and limit the amount to 2 cups at most. Also know that robusta, a coffee variety most used for cheaper coffee brews, have twice as much caffiene as arabica, and really unpleasant to drink. One more thing, be careful about getting cold brews in rando restaurants, those are dilute concentrates and sometimes the person might not dilute it enough and you can get twice as much caffeine that you expected. But quitting bad habits is always something to commemorate and i hope for the best.
The amount of denial and cope in this comment section is astounding. No one is saying you have to quit coffee, this guys just sharing his own experience lol.
It wont change your life on the level this man claims. But its always good to NOT be addicted to it. If you're american and likely to be fat, get yourself a bike instead. That will change your life for sure
I love reading the comments of people defending their dependence on caffeine fact: coffee is a drug "caffeine is good because it contains antioxidants etc etc" You are only defending this because you are addicted and cannot stop lmao Have a better life and stop drinking coffee
Coffee (good quality) actually has many antioxidants. Drinking a cup a day is good for your health. Obviously too much of anything can potentially be a bad thing. As far as your blood pressure being high when you went to the doctor... did you cycle to get there? Your heart rate would obviously be way higher than it normally would. I always told the nurse when she was taking mine that I had just cycled to get to my appointment, so to take that into consideration. I definitely used to drink way too much coffee, but now I just have one, or two cups a day (actual cups, not double size). What's bad, is to take creme/milk and sugar in your coffee, but on it's own coffee isn't bad for you. And don't drink instant coffee, that's full of chemicals and isn't even real coffee anyways.
I had to quit sugar for 2 years - my doctor recommended me this to ease the acne, and I also had teeth issues. I've grown up: now my acne is gone, and my teeth have been cured - now I enjoy cakes and candies again, but I keep my drinks sugar-free for better taste. Each solution is situational and don't have to be permanent 😉
Nothing wrong with a bit of coffee each day. I think you're a bit delicate. Nothing wrong with that, we're all different. But I'm probably a bit better than you.
Caffiene addicts really don't want to accept how bad their drug is lol. I'd know, I was the same for a long time. The reality is putting your body into fight or flight mode all day every day isn't actually healthy; shock.
Sounds like your body is a bit weak, nothing to be ashamed of but good to recognize! I've been up to sometimes 3L of coffee in a day, but I've never noticed any effect. I guess I'm just built different.
@@Boozer42069I discovered a few years ago that I had an adrenal tumour called a pheochromocytoma. Towards the end of 2021, it was pumping 82x the normal level of adrenaline into my body, so any amount of caffeine would have very little effect. Since I had it removed, I still don't have any effect from caffeine, since my body still has an extreme ability to neutralize stimulants from decades of dealing with the tumour. I dont drink as much coffee anymore, for no particular reason :)
It's inaccurate to assume that his body must be weak since caffeine affects him badly. In fact studies have shown that genetics have an effect on how someone metabolises caffeine. He's clearly in good enough shape if he's doing all that cycling.
Exercise raises blood pressure during the moment of exercising but the body's blood pressure lowers for the rest of the day after working out. Why do you think athletes have an average of 50-60 bpm?

Dropping habit of spending money on expensive bike parts I was able to buy great coffee - freshly roasted beans grown by great people all over world - South-East Asia, Middle and South Americas, Africa! 😆
Started drinking caffeine at 14? Slacker, lol. I started drinking coffee when I was four.
My fix dream was done when my mash work was stolen….
Sorry man, I normally enjoy your content, but this is a typical video for what I think is the wrong way in social media: taking one little element and overexaggerate(?) its meaning or effect like its THE ONE THING YOU NEED TO DO/DONT DO. Ones Life has so many more factors that come together. Even though overthinking your daily habits is a good thing I guess. Good for you you're doing fine!
I drink about 30-50 oz of coffee a day. It doesn’t affect my mood at all. WHaTTT DID YUU SAAAAY?!???? Oh sorry, I thought you said something
I love reading the comments of people defending their dependence on caffeine
fact: coffee is a drug
"caffeine is good because it contains antioxidants etc etc"
You are only defending this because you are addicted and cannot stop lmao
Have a better life and stop drinking coffee
it's like 90% of the comments
ANDDDDD this is why you have to learn moderation.
or u know just dont drink it
When fixie points coming back
What grips are those?
No need to quite anything, you only need to ride your bike more!

And don't drink instant coffee, that's full of chemicals and isn't even real coffee anyways.
bunch of bs u wrote
🖤
I had to quit sugar for 2 years - my doctor recommended me this to ease the acne, and I also had teeth issues. I've grown up: now my acne is gone, and my teeth have been cured - now I enjoy cakes and candies again, but I keep my drinks sugar-free for better taste. Each solution is situational and don't have to be permanent 😉
Have a cup a day from my home machine. I suppose its an addiction but it tastes so good 👍
Nothing wrong with a bit of coffee each day. I think you're a bit delicate. Nothing wrong with that, we're all different. But I'm probably a bit better than you.
coffee is mid
Next addiction to tackle: black and white pronouncements for the whole world based on Your Personal Experience.
Lol 😂 "got em"
What even is black and white pronouncements?
Caffiene addicts really don't want to accept how bad their drug is lol. I'd know, I was the same for a long time. The reality is putting your body into fight or flight mode all day every day isn't actually healthy; shock.
cope
Sounds like your body is a bit weak, nothing to be ashamed of but good to recognize!
I've been up to sometimes 3L of coffee in a day, but I've never noticed any effect. I guess I'm just built different.
3L of regularly caffeinated coffee in one day is an insane amount. Take care of your heart - who knows how it’ll react in two decades.
I'm surprised ur heart hasn't jumped out your chest drinking so much coffee
Sport also risis your blood pressure (for the duration of the sport and some time after) so maybe you should dont ride your bike huh? 🤦🏻♂️
Somebody has no idea how a human body functions
@@stop223 yep.....
Exercise raises blood pressure during the moment of exercising but the body's blood pressure lowers for the rest of the day after working out. Why do you think athletes have an average of 50-60 bpm?
what other drugs do you do? noone who rides fixed doesn't do at least one drug.
you say you would spend $3 at a cafe...I don't believe you.
Your caffeine withdrawal was real, but you're a sugar addict, are you not?
Sugar is the stimulant you're actually addicted to...I doubt your mom can serve a meal without starch. Must be nice to live at home for free.
+ points for having a Filipino family :D
sugar is a nutrient
Rare L. 😂
