    I am really interested on how to make a heady pendant from start to finish because I'm thinking about trying it but I don't know how to set any stones, or how to even go about it and there's not many tutorials on it on RUclips. It's so great to see you back! 🙂

      It's easy once you learn how to start at bottom or top....
      Start at base or bale..... the rest is art ;>)

    • @staceyahern3158
      @staceyahern3158 2 года назад

      At bottom take however many wires you want to work with put them side-by-side wrap a small gauge like a 26 or 28 around the wires side by side about 6 * some people only do it three or four anyway it's actually better to weave the wire through the wires but if you're just starting out you can do it by wrapping the small wire all the way around all the big wires just keep them side-by-side from bunching up by using a piece of tape at the end this stuff is easier than you think after that you pull the wires up and frame the stone and that's how you start from the bottom and if you make a drawing of your stone the outline you can use that to measure running the wires up from the bottom so they come out to be the exact right size you can trace the wire right on top of it and to just start from the bail you literally make a circle at the end of a wire and twist it or wrap other wire around it to hold it in place and the rest is up to you on that I personally prefer starting at the bottom because you can make a really nice frame that way that is more secure in my opinion but that's really all you seriously need to know it doesn't matter really what type of wire or any of that as long as you make the frame out of thicker wire and the weaving or coiling or wire that holds it in place per se is a small wire big being anywhere from 12 gauge to 20 gauge and small being anywhere from 24 to 28 gauge that's the simplest way that I can put it hopefully you understand if not I will help you out with any questions you have doing it this way is extremely easy either way you pick it if you want to learn top to bottom watch Matt's crazy art and if you want to learn bottom-to-top watch Oksana I think is how it's spelled and that's how she doesn't my favorite person to watch is Yvonne Williams she is like the master of the art and this guy here is super talented also there's not many I throw in that category Kelly Jones and Kelly's jewelry I think it is I like them also and Heather Boyd wire lady they call her she can teach you some basic facts that will blow your mind even with a paper clip LOL I like starting at the top also because that is the way it is easiest to make those weaved bales that you see that are so beautiful so usually I end up starting at the top even though it's easier to start at the bottom.... And there's also the circle technique where you make a circle or the shape of the Crystal whatever you're using and at the top leave it open and you will have to straight wire poking up at the top and a circle at the bottom of them and then you can make the pretty Veil or you can just wrap the smaller wire around the two that are poking up and keep wrapping it around and going up and that will make your bail and then you can do whatever you want with the rest of the wire poking up that's where your art can come from I don't know I just think this is the easiest way to explain it after watching thousands of tutorials and when I got started if someone had told me this it would have made my life so much easier LOL

      Raftark I hope I'm not stepping on your toes any but you know how hard this is in the beginning so I thought I would just tell her what I wish someone would have told me I'm not saying you're not awesome I wouldn't have been watching your video otherwise LOL I think that you have some extremely awesome ideas and you are very talented and artistic or I wouldn't even watch you LOL I think it was you I seen the prong method with if I'm not mistaken I liked the the way you did it the best:-)

    I am so glad that you have decided to come back. I stumbled upon your channel probably a year ago and was looking for more content from you. I truly enjoy your teaching methods because you take your time and calmly go over each individual step. Your work is amazing and I have learned many techniques from your videos. I look forward to seeing so much more. I would like to see more ring techniques, pendant and maybe chain work. Also where is a good place to get wires and especially stones. Thank you Nolan☺️

    I feel so inadequate as I think of how to express how I feel about your talent. I find myself with no appropriate words . Surely you must know how unusual your talent is!!!. I have watched many many tutorials on wire wrapping, and there are many very talented artists, I would not take anything away from them. After seeing the bracelet you, no doubt, belong in a class of wire wrappers all your own. Please tell me, how did you make the leap from wrapping to “Master” wrapper??. And, how long have you created your art?. 🙏🏼❤️🌷

    Nice to put a face with that soft tone voice ❤ Thank you for the video ❤ Also, can you post video on all the tools you use in your videos please ❤ The one tool that you use is, the one that looks like a flat nose pliers ❤ My question is: Is the tip of those pliers super thin and strong, to where they get into tight spots to crimp? ♥️

    Thank you Nolan, I LOVE your videos and your amazing work. When I started wrapping and weaving (almost 3 years ago) I was determined to become as amazing as you are (I am not, lol 😁). Anyway so glad you are back and would really love to see some more channel setting and prong and bezel settings for both faceted and even raw gemstones if possible. I have, however, been making jewelry for 30 years but it was mostly beading and some silversmithing. I have started my own company 6 years ago named Incantations by Karyn and maybe you could check it out real quick and offer a few critiques?? Nevertheless thanks again for coming back for us, I was hoping this day would come soon and here it is!

    I just wanted to tell you that you are the master for coming up with this one! You are the first person I have ever seen coil half round! And it is so freaking beautiful I think more beautiful than Square even! Way2go on that idea I don't know if you got it from someone else but I doubt it because I've never seen it before so way to go on that one! I've been trying to figure out how to make a framed skull that is on a swinging pendant that is on a bar if you get what I'm saying kind of if you have any ideas on that please let me know or if you already have any videos similar it's becoming a real pain but it's for my niece so I want to do it where it turns out beautiful I already have my white quartz druzy fixed up with a beautiful black glitter outline instead of that nasty looking fake gold LOL now I'm just trying to work on the concept of doing a bar swinging pendant instead of one that has a hole on each side which is the easy way I want it to swing on the bar and I haven't decided if I want to draw the skull face with paint or try to make it with wire she wants a skull with flowers swinging which is a very unique idea that is challenging the s*** out of me LOL

    It's like seeing Master Chief for the first time 😂
    I've been running into lots of problems with channel settings, specifically ones that will hold faceted round or emerald cut stones. I like your bar channel tutorial but that particular style of setting has a distinct look that I don't always want, and making a prong setting for each stone is very time consuming and can look uneven.
    Keep up the great work!
