I needed a new monogram key pouch since I sold my Recto Verso (wasn't really feeling that piece) so after hearing about the price increase I panic purchased one on Saturday from the website lol. Now here's Tuesday and the darn thing is still priced at $270. I would like to know who starts these price increase date rumors lol.
Pure speculation: They might have removed the toiletry pouches from the website to try to essentially better control the access to the limited amount of canvas that they have, depending on how severe the canvas shortage is. Removing some of the most popular pieces that use large pieces of canvas may just have to do with the canvas shortage. Them being removed from the website could be to avoid auto updates of website stock. For example, say 100 are made, normally 20 are allocated to the website while 80 are shipped out to stores but by removing the item from the website they could ship all 100 out to stores. This would allow them to foster the relationships between clients and sales associates.
I would love to “panic” buy a mini pochette if I could find one. That’s what bothers me the most about price increases on products you can’t even purchase. I’m not sure I believe the shortage of canvas since the more expensive leather bags seem to be available. Just my opinion. I don’t really have a relationship with a CA anymore so I definitely don’t have insider info. Thanks for sharing your opinion. Will be waiting for the comparison video when increase does happen.

As much as I love Louis for quality, and durability these price increases are definitely making me take a step back and really think about what I'm willing to spend. Such a bummer if they feel like they need to compete with Chanel, both brands are just so different in my eyes...curious to see which pieces will be increased by 25%!
I just messaged my SA today about a T26 and said something about it being discontinued. She told me the same thing you had said - that it not discontinued but in limited supply. I was able to snag one from my store! I’m so thankful I asked because I was this close to spending $400 over retail. Glad I followed my gut!
3 weeks ago my SA called me that she has a Toiletry 15 held for me. I went in to check it out because I’ve never seen it before in-person. I decided to pass on it since the size is so similar to my mini pochette and the mini pochette it is more functional and versatile for me. I believe your SA is right about pieces coming in on a rare occasion so maybe LV took if off of online because of it. 🤷🏻♀️
Great video, enjoyed every moment of it whilst doing my morning workout. Definitely almost panic bought last week, the On the Go GM is on my wishlist as a workwear bag.... bit I stopped myself and said it will most like go up for about 11-12% cause 25% markup makes sense for the lower priced items but not the higher ones bc of the absolute number increase. So if I can't afford an extra £200-£300 on the current price then it means I can't afford the bag at all. So I'll waiting till I'm ready. 🥰😆
There's been plenty of canvas available for the numerous seasonal collections of the past few years 🙄 And also canvas is my preferred material ...nothing to do with price. I don't want a leather toiletry/makeup pouch getting all messed up 😣
Thank you for these videos. I agree with you, this a hobby for me, a welcome distraction. Over the pandemic I started watching & following you and a select few others and started building an slg collection to complement my handbag collection and it’s been fun. It’s also interesting to hear the theories behind the price increases and elusiveness surrounding some of the items that we just can’t get our hands on (pochette accessories for me!). Like you, working hard, saving/investing $ comes first, and luxury items not the most important things. 😃
I'm curious to know what will increase. I went through a phase where I collected a lot of SLGs and I have 4 mini pochettes, 3 toiletry 26s, and 3 key pouches purchased in 2020. I might just sell them as that would mean I could get another handbag instead.
I want the mini pochette and the pochette accessoires so bad..it will remind me of my current healing process and want to make it as a sentimental piece..I have been stalking the LV website for 17 days now and every populair item restocked except mini pochette and pochette accessoires.(europe) Very tempted to buy the mini pochette preloved even though I would have this bad after taste because I payed a quite a bit more over retail price..300 euro at LV and at Vestiaire Collective around 460..😑
Do you remember I said in a previous comment that the Toiletry 26 pouch style is still available in the men's department? It's the Pochette Voyage MM. It looks the same as the Toiletry 26 on the outside but has card slots on the inside....AND...it's twice the price! So my guess is that the Toiletry pouches may come back but slightly revamped and then LV can justify doubling its price! Also I think some canvas items are only being sold in stores (and sometimes need to be specially ordered) at personal request because...yes there could be a shortage...but also mainly to monitor who is buying this stuff because some items are being bought in multiple quantities by one customer only to be sold on privately for a higher price. LV wants to stop this from happening.
We also have to understand (from working in retail) that LV employees are told what to say or given limited corporate information as to why the increase but trained to answer customer with the info they are given. So, we will see what happens in the future.
That sucks!!! I’ve been trying to get the pochette accessoires even prior to the last price increase. My SA says she hasn’t seen this in her store (downtown San Francisco) for over two years… and now another price increase?!… when you haven’t even been able to get your hands on one. 😔
I love Louis Vuitton but the price increases and the quality going down doesn't match up. I am really disappointed because things are always sold out and prices are increasing which makes it impossible to get your favourite pieces. I am definitely going the pre-loved route. Been purchasing bags that are early 2000's-2017.
If the canvas material is really in low stock, maybe LV pulled the Toiletry Pouches because the margin between the cost and the profit is too low for them? Considering the pouches are a few of the most affordable canvas items? Maybe LV needs a larger profit margin in order to use the “scarce canvas” on something lower priced like the pouches? That would be my guess. It’s all a mystery :)
I ended up buying my T26 by impulse before they removed them from the website. Used it once and then consider selling it but since it's so hard to get a hold of one and possibly being discontinued/ increased on price might as well keep it.

The Zoe wallet in the Damier Ebene with the rose ballerine isn’t available anymore on the website whereas it used to be. It is still there in the monogram canvas though. Just thought I would mention that. So maybe certain pieces are going off the website.
@@yangkuma I really am glad I got one. I have noticed recently (after I had commented about the zoe wallet awhile ago) that even though some items are not available on the website that if you call the client services they might be able to order it still if you tell them what you are looking for.
I bought a special edition STRAW toiletry 26 this past June, it was a higher cost, I believe I paid $1010. When the toiletries were pulled this summer, my straw style was also pulled. It has the same design and frame as the toiletry 26, I could turn it into a handbag. I think it means something that my straw toiletry was pulled off the website at the same time as the traditional toiletry, I think it has something to do with making them into handbags. I do think they will re-launch the toiletry, but i do not think the new model will be able to be modify.
I wonder if the price increases are a reaction to chanel price increases. LV want to stay in the same circle of luxury as hermes and chanel. By increasing canvas prices it keeps the brand more desirable and unattainable , while also encouraging spend on leather. Every high school kid being able to work over the summer to save up for a neverful is just not the exclusive clientele they are trying to attract.
I got the T26 & T15 at Hawaii a couple of weeks ago at the boutique. The CA was surprised they had and told me it was rare. I asked if it was discontinued and she said no not to my knowledge. I totally panic bought a Damier Ebene neverfull MM last night because it was the only thing available on the website. And to find out the prices did not increase as of right now makes me somewhat regret pulling the trigger! This is CraZy!! I mean, I am the craZy one! 🤪😂
It sounds like a combination of reasons for them to pull the toiletry pouches. If it’s true there is a shortage of material it would make sense for them to take it off the website. Looking at it from a business perspective it requires a substantial amount of canvas to make a large toiletry pouch. I’m sure LV would rather allocate the material to bag that sells for a minimum of $1k than an accessory worth a few hundred (supply vs demand), not saying it’s right. I’m speculating there is also a limited amount of material reserved for each item; therefore, we’re constantly seeing items going in and out of stock on their website. Thank goodness I live in Alaska and we have an odd time zone here. I have lucked out every time and can easily score these high demand items.
I agree with your thoughts. I also that these pieces (any luxury piece really) isn’t an investment. Except for a few prices like a birkin or so where you can resell and get 💯 back of your investment but in terms of long term gains I would say no. I would say they are an “investment” to our wardrobes though knowing you’re buying a quality piece that will last you for years enough to pass it down where a lower cost piece probably will get you a good few years
It’s as simple as a strategic move to hold up their business. People are buying less, resources are getting more and more scarce and expensive and the best move is to do a price increase on your best selling items. It will always be a business who needs to make money from your spending. So I’m never bummed about a price increase. It’s just how the world works.
It’s a luxury brand and they want it to be exclusive just like Hermès. The prices are so high, so not everyone is able to afford it. Otherwise it becomes Gap. I love LV and if there’s something I really, really want/love, I’ll buy it anyway even if there’s a price increase. I totally get it! Love your channel. 😁💕💕💕

Price increases in luxury brands are inevitable. All popular brands had price increases this year. Why are we so affected by the LV price increase. I’m not happy about it but I know I can’t do anything about it. It’s our choice anyway whether to buy more or not. These brands don’t really care because they only value those that can afford to buy even with the price increase. I did pa ic buy and bought the PSM in reverse. My CA and the manager are not aware of any price increase. The manager said she should know at least 1 week before the price increase so it’s just rumor for now
That’s quite upsetting, to be honest, if there are more toiletry pouch 19s and 26s out there. Reason being, I placed an order on the phone with a CA in very early July for both items. I waited the 21 days then was told to wait 21 business days. It exceeded that time, but I was still very fine with that. I was just elated that I was actually able to place the order and was not told that they were impossible to get. Then after 6 weeks I was told by a CA when I called again that there were no toiletry pouches in all of the US. And that they could not pull from other counties even if they showed in stock elsewhere (overseas). I still left my order pending in hopes that I’d hear good news. I called again, and with another CA she said that the orders do not cancel automatically and that my order (as well as the funds that were already deducted for both items) will just sit in limbo. And that it was up to me to cancel the order because there are NO MORE pouches in the US. I held out a bit longer before finally having to cancel my order. Now I’m reading & hearing here that there has been some sighted at different boutiques??!! That’s just very upsetting. 😔

Also when I wanted to order the key pouch in damier azur, my CA told me that this item is not open for order, so I am not sure if they are discontinuing this item on this print. It would be nice to just have some sort of statement from LV, or even a consistent message through CAs and Client Services so we knew what was happening. That'll never happen though! Personally, I think the Toiletries will be redesigned and back with a extra few hundred $ on the price tag, OR they will come out in the Limited Edition collections only just like the round coin purse. Whatever the case, it's annoying and who really wants to beg a brand to take their money? 🤣
Is really kind of crazy price increase again and again. Nothing had changed in terms of quality apart from the prices. If given last year, i will panic buy which i did before the price increase in May my first LV Speedy Bandouliere 25. Then i got others subsequently even after the May price increased and happy that i got my hand on Pochette Accessoires before the big increase in Jan this year. Of late, i got my card holders and for now, i am at purse peace. It is all business and i understand that but as consumer...it definitely a pain. I just think is silly if they were to withdraw all their canvas as this is their heritage and that is what i love LV for as well. Competing in their leather with Chanel is fine but canvas is what makes them different from the rest and what more there is still so much demand on that. Yeah, it is hard to get even those SLG i.e Key Pouch, Mini Pochette and Pochette Accessoires. Will try to find out if the Toiletries is still available in store. Thanks for sharing.

Louis Vuitton is totally price gauging 25% is very significant increase. I don’t own any LV bags but I have been excited to purchase a cross body as special gift. I was anticipating a price increase in January not this early in summer this is annoying.
My theory is they stopped producing the toiletry pouches (for now) because they wanted to really push the Coussin bags to customers. The pouches having a very similar silhouette and look, when chains are added, to the Coussin can definitely hurt its sales. Which can no doubt be easily done given the high price point the Coussin is going for compared to the Toiletry pouches and their popularity. I have a feeling they will bring the pouches back as soon as the Coussin starts fading into obscurity
It has become impossible to buy canvas online. I went to LV store yesterday and they did have canvas bags selection in store, although you have to ask for it because they are showcasing their leather pieces on the shelves 😏
Honestly…. I have the toiletry 26 and it’s a poor design for cosmetics. Because it’s tall and skinny, I hate having to dig for stuff and as you dig, stuff just keeps rolling to the bottom causing you to keep digging. Very annoying to use.
Some people say it’s normal “prices go up “ but come on - every couple of months they raise their prices! It seems just too greedy. Not me any longer. I’d rather get new carpeting for my bedroom! Lol!

I have been hoping they come on in a smaller style, now I think I need that too 🙈🙈. I watched a video, the youtuber said her SA said the T26 be coming back in the future, there's no exact date yet.
I am in position when I am happy with my LV collection. From classic Speedy 25 to Mini Pochette Accessorie ♡ I have 10 LV items (bags, slg etc), and that's ok, cause they are classic ones. But I am not ok with Chanel price increases because I have only 2 Chanel pieces, and do not have a classic one. As at the beginning of a journey for me it is upset, so I understand ppl who are at the beginning of a journey in LV world. Sorry for comparing but recenlty prices on eggs grown up a lot, so I am not wonder about luxury world:) wish our incoming also have an increase:) as for canvas - of course LV will not delete it from its brand, cause canvas is a key to LV heart and legend. Just wait for new waves of what they will propose to us as a designer brand. I welcome new ideas!:)
Azur key pouch, azur zippy small wallet and mini pochette are dicontinue. On the go mm reverse and vanity going to be discontinue. People are still finding Toiletries in boutique. The price increases soon. I dont know if they are just rumors anymore. LV is a crazy house to me right now. I know they are trying to push leather goods more and jewelry. Now you walk into the boutiques alot of leather pieces being display and SA will push jewelry on me. I feel like LV canvases pieces are their bread n butter. I get things go up in price but not many products go up in price several times a year every year. It’s just ridiculous at this point.

I totally panic bought a Damier Ebene neverfull MM last night because it was the only thing available on the website. And to find out the prices did not increase as of right now makes me somewhat regret pulling the trigger! This is CraZy!! I mean, I am the craZy one! 🤪😂

It sounds like a combination of reasons for them to pull the toiletry pouches. If it’s true there is a shortage of material it would make sense for them to take it off the website. Looking at it from a business perspective it requires a substantial amount of canvas to make a large toiletry pouch. I’m sure LV would rather allocate the material to bag that sells for a minimum of $1k than an accessory worth a few hundred (supply vs demand), not saying it’s right. I’m speculating there is also a limited amount of material reserved for each item; therefore, we’re constantly seeing items going in and out of stock on their website. Thank goodness I live in Alaska and we have an odd time zone here. I have lucked out every time and can easily score these high demand items.
Sold my toiletry 19 for double the price it’s in high demand right now so if you’re thinking of selling do it soon
I agree with your thoughts. I also that these pieces (any luxury piece really) isn’t an investment. Except for a few prices like a birkin or so where you can resell and get 💯 back of your investment but in terms of long term gains I would say no. I would say they are an “investment” to our wardrobes though knowing you’re buying a quality piece that will last you for years enough to pass it down where a lower cost piece probably will get you a good few years

It’s as simple as a strategic move to hold up their business. People are buying less, resources are getting more and more scarce and expensive and the best move is to do a price increase on your best selling items. It will always be a business who needs to make money from your spending. So I’m never bummed about a price increase. It’s just how the world works.
It’s a luxury brand and they want it to be exclusive just like Hermès. The prices are so high, so not everyone is able to afford it. Otherwise it becomes Gap. I love LV and if there’s something I really, really want/love, I’ll buy it anyway even if there’s a price increase. I totally get it! Love your channel. 😁💕💕💕

Waiting on a graceful bag. Oh no another increase maybe I won't be able to buy it seems when you are waiting on an out of stock item you loose to the increase. It seems LV more than any other high end brand does this so much. Thanks for the info.
Price increases in luxury brands are inevitable. All popular brands had price increases this year. Why are we so affected by the LV price increase. I’m not happy about it but I know I can’t do anything about it. It’s our choice anyway whether to buy more or not. These brands don’t really care because they only value those that can afford to buy even with the price increase. I did pa ic buy and bought the PSM in reverse. My CA and the manager are not aware of any price increase. The manager said she should know at least 1 week before the price increase so it’s just rumor for now
That’s quite upsetting, to be honest, if there are more toiletry pouch 19s and 26s out there. Reason being, I placed an order on the phone with a CA in very early July for both items. I waited the 21 days then was told to wait 21 business days. It exceeded that time, but I was still very fine with that. I was just elated that I was actually able to place the order and was not told that they were impossible to get. Then after 6 weeks I was told by a CA when I called again that there were no toiletry pouches in all of the US. And that they could not pull from other counties even if they showed in stock elsewhere (overseas). I still left my order pending in hopes that I’d hear good news. I called again, and with another CA she said that the orders do not cancel automatically and that my order (as well as the funds that were already deducted for both items) will just sit in limbo. And that it was up to me to cancel the order because there are NO MORE pouches in the US. I held out a bit longer before finally having to cancel my order. Now I’m reading & hearing here that there has been some sighted at different boutiques??!! That’s just very upsetting. 😔
I heard the theory number 4 it will come out next year who knows I don’t like so many price increases it makes it hard as it to find items

Also when I wanted to order the key pouch in damier azur, my CA told me that this item is not open for order, so I am not sure if they are discontinuing this item on this print. It would be nice to just have some sort of statement from LV, or even a consistent message through CAs and Client Services so we knew what was happening. That'll never happen though! Personally, I think the Toiletries will be redesigned and back with a extra few hundred $ on the price tag, OR they will come out in the Limited Edition collections only just like the round coin purse. Whatever the case, it's annoying and who really wants to beg a brand to take their money? 🤣
Is really kind of crazy price increase again and again. Nothing had changed in terms of quality apart from the prices. If given last year, i will panic buy which i did before the price increase in May my first LV Speedy Bandouliere 25. Then i got others subsequently even after the May price increased and happy that i got my hand on Pochette Accessoires before the big increase in Jan this year. Of late, i got my card holders and for now, i am at purse peace. It is all business and i understand that but as consumer...it definitely a pain. I just think is silly if they were to withdraw all their canvas as this is their heritage and that is what i love LV for as well. Competing in their leather with Chanel is fine but canvas is what makes them different from the rest and what more there is still so much demand on that. Yeah, it is hard to get even those SLG i.e Key Pouch, Mini Pochette and Pochette Accessoires. Will try to find out if the Toiletries is still available in store. Thanks for sharing.

I don’t own any LV bags but I have been excited to purchase a cross body as special gift. I was anticipating a price increase in January not this early in summer this is annoying.
My theory is they stopped producing the toiletry pouches (for now) because they wanted to really push the Coussin bags to customers. The pouches having a very similar silhouette and look, when chains are added, to the Coussin can definitely hurt its sales. Which can no doubt be easily done given the high price point the Coussin is going for compared to the Toiletry pouches and their popularity. I have a feeling they will bring the pouches back as soon as the Coussin starts fading into obscurity

It has become impossible to buy canvas online. I went to LV store yesterday and they did have canvas bags selection in store, although you have to ask for it because they are showcasing their leather pieces on the shelves 😏
For sure, they are pushing leather pieces. The irony is that we love them more for their canvas!
Honestly…. I have the toiletry 26 and it’s a poor design for cosmetics. Because it’s tall and skinny, I hate having to dig for stuff and as you dig, stuff just keeps rolling to the bottom causing you to keep digging. Very annoying to use.
I agree. It’s better suited for brushes or toiletries such as lotions, creams, etc. I don’t use it for cosmetics either.
Some people say it’s normal “prices go up “ but come on - every couple of months they raise their prices! It seems just too greedy. Not me any longer. I’d rather get new carpeting for my bedroom! Lol!
I'm content with my current collection too. I stumbled across FoxyLV's instagram post today. There's going to be a keypouch in empriente leather in the canvas style. I have been hoping they come on in a smaller style, now I think I need that too 🙈🙈. I watched a video, the youtuber said her SA said the T26 be coming back in the future, there's no exact date yet.

I am in position when I am happy with my LV collection. From classic Speedy 25 to Mini Pochette Accessorie ♡ I have 10 LV items (bags, slg etc), and that's ok, cause they are classic ones. But I am not ok with Chanel price increases because I have only 2 Chanel pieces, and do not have a classic one. As at the beginning of a journey for me it is upset, so I understand ppl who are at the beginning of a journey in LV world. Sorry for comparing but recenlty prices on eggs grown up a lot, so I am not wonder about luxury world:) wish our incoming also have an increase:) as for canvas - of course LV will not delete it from its brand, cause canvas is a key to LV heart and legend. Just wait for new waves of what they will propose to us as a designer brand. I welcome new ideas!:)
Azur key pouch, azur zippy small wallet and mini pochette are dicontinue. On the go mm reverse and vanity going to be discontinue. People are still finding Toiletries in boutique. The price increases soon. I dont know if they are just rumors anymore. LV is a crazy house to me right now. I know they are trying to push leather goods more and jewelry. Now you walk into the boutiques alot of leather pieces being display and SA will push jewelry on me. I feel like LV canvases pieces are their bread n butter. There is no way they will discontinue their canvases. Shortage I do believe since the whole pandemic thing. I thought there were a price increase today didnt see any but now rumor September 15th. I am so lost with LV.

If they said there was a shortage of leather I would understand as that is a natural animal hide which takes a while to grow. But a shortage of man-made canvas from the factory for the wealthiest company on the planet? Ummmm… no. I’m calling BS on LV spreading that rumor as a legit reason. It’s 100% about the mind games and $,$$$.00 because people accept scarcity equals premium cost.
