Yet more great stuff from the morcambe and wise of the canal system. It’s like the best tv show with comedy, history, nature and boats all thrown in the pot and the way you mix the stunning filming with the perfect soundtrack is amazing. Could do with an 8 hour mix of just video and music to lose a whole day in. See ya next week guys
Hi Colin and Shaun, you are totally a jolly couple, your videos are the best for all round entertainment, l definitely look forward to watching your awesome vlog ,you always make me laugh every time, especially when I see the both of your funny antics, while cruising along the canal, your history lessons are excellent, roll on Friday guys,
Thanks Fellas, did enjoy this one (as usual). Had to duck a couple of times but I'm OK. Excellent camera work and editing. Definitely Emmy worthy. Thank You.
My family say scONe because we say it every couple of months when my mum makes them for us. Also thanks for putting my mind at ease because I wanted to know where you put the diesel in. As always love ur vlogs 😊
I've noticed that your filming and editing is superior to many of the other narrow boat youtuber's, especially going through the locks and the scenic areas! Mixing in the views from above makes it a joy to watch!
As usual fantastic filming extremely entertaining and very informative. Who needs TV with you two on you tube I life model at a art class and yesterday we were talking about best programs on TV and 4 out of the 12 present said you two are tops. Xxx
I am new here and have fallen in love with your vlogs. I have gone back to the very beginning and I am watching them through. I usually watch 4-5 in a row after getting off of work. Very fun and relaxing.
That pie and chips was just pure torture for us in the USA It looks just sooooo good. Wiping drool of the front of my shirt. Another happy Friday with the foxes xxx
I’m so glad I found your channel a while ago. You make such wonderfully interesting vids, along with historical trivia, gorgeous scenery, and very apt background music. Not to mention, you two are so funny and cute you make me laugh. I’m very UK/IRE on both sides, several generations back. Except for my maternal gramps who came over at age 10 with his family, and though his elders died long before I was born, I grew up around him. I’m a Californian, but it always feels like “home” any time I watch stuff from across the pond, especially England. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
I'm so glad i discovered your channel you two are a great double act and love the way you bounce off each other. I get up on a morning and think OMG another groundhog day but then i sit and watch you and i find myself laughing out loud to what you come out with. Please never change and keep up the good work, you are helping quite a few people in lock down
That's why narrowboats have the strange number of being 6'10" wide. Originally the canals were designed to accommodate boats 7' wide but so many bridges and locks have squeezed inwards over decades and decades that 6'10" is the maximum width to go anywhere on the canal system nowadays.
Talking about Diesel fuel. I understand you have to use white fully taxed diesel in pleasure boats now after European directives banned red diesel a few years ago. Do you think after Brexit the Government may relax the rules again and permit lower cost diesel to be used in narrowboats?
@@FoxesAfloat Thanks for that. I'm not a boat owner but I remember Europeans were wanting the UK to conform to some directive but I guess they sidestepped it.

Wonderful photography and narration lads - particularly the drone shots crossing the Edstone aqueduct. Congratulations to you both on celebrating your 27th anniversary together - a wonderful achievement. 😃👌❤️❤️❤️
Ah, Friday afternoon, the weekend upon us, making a nice pot of tea and getting onto RUclips, but what to watch? Ah yes, a new episode of the Foxes, just the most perfect thing! Another informative video, especially with such little details like the forlorn tramway, love to know stuff like that! Thanks so much for putting all that time into recording and editing these, always a pleasure to watch! :)
You guys crack me up. Which is nice since we are stuck inside self quarantining. Loved the music for the aqueduct, I fully expected Godzilla to pop up at the end of the canal and eat Silver-fox. Just wanted to say that what I have seen I have thoroughly enjoyed. Keep doing what you’re doing and take care of each other....
I've been under the Wooten Wawen aquaduct many times that stretch of road seems to have a speed camera every 100 yards ( it's a right pain ) at least you don't have to deal with them on the canal which is a good job as the way Dylan skidded to a stop as he jumped on the boat would have got him a ticket 😁 . Scone / scon ? who cares as long as you share um with me , thanks for the entertainment your blogs really are brilliant . Take care lads . S
On our October cruise we moored at Wootton Wawen and walked to the station and excitedly held our hand out to stop the train (as it was a request stop) for a day trip to Stratford! We then cruised to Lowsonford, moored in the exact spot as you and went to the pub. Enjoyed seeing the sights again on your excellent Vlog.👍
Hello lads. As I said not watching these in order, justpick and choosing when one catches my fancy. Got a couple questions. 1st colin what kind of music do you play on your ukulele? My hubby plays anything and I'm quite eclectic, from classical, 50s to country. 2nd have you heard of the Monmouth-breck canal in Wales? Not connected at all to the rest of the canal system. Great Vlog as usual guys, love the film work & editing. Colin, what was the make of the grey hoodie you had on at the beginning.....need to get myself one of those ready to wear on our Bickerboat👍
I must say that your videos are a treat. Your background music and footage is really interesting. We are continuous cruisers and one day we might meet up. We are on our way to Braunston on the Grand Union from Brentford. Watch out for Demelza.
Foxes Afloat we are in Birkhampstead. Started out journey from the river Wey near Guildford. We are newbies. After living in Lanzarote for 20 years decided to live on our narrowboat at the ages of 71 and 75 We started on January 10th. Loving it. We have been following you. And really enjoy your vlogs.
As always, a great way to start the weekend. And the past few vlogs have felt like being home as I know many of the roads around the area from riding my bicycle through those villages for many years. PS When you mentioned Mary Arden lived 30 yards down the road at number 42, I had a flashback to Benny Hill singing Ernie, although the widow in that song "Lived all alone on Lilly Lane, at number 22" (not 42).
well lads another great video and done like you were both born for tv brilliant the facts the laughs and the stunning country side filmed so well ,makes for an enjoyable watch ,,after a day working in a big hospital i watched your adventure and thought what a great way of life ,it looks wonderful ,and the little dog looks well happy ,well thanks for that both ,until your next adventure on cut ,happy navigating ,ps i can,t hear the name william shakespeare with out imagining the star ship enterprise now ,lol.
Great vlog as usual chaps. Do you think you will be doing a vlog on your electrics i.e. Solar in particular. I wondered if you had enough info now to work out how well that has done?
Hi Guys, how are you coping with the restrictions due to corona virus? We are fine here in the Australian country side but you travels might be interesting. Just remember that your program is much loved. Cheers
Hi Joseph 👋 We've moved out into the country and only going to the shop maybe once a week, with hand washing before, during and after! We're trying to stay positive even though the world seems to be losing it's marbles! Stay safe 💜
Love the footage from the bow. Love the gentle ripple of the water. The leafless trees and sunny day make it seem idyllic, although I can imagine it would be a bit 'parky' outside. Here 'down under', we call them scone - as Colin said it. :-) The pie at the Fleur de Lys looked great too. Thanks again for a great vlog. I'm gradually catching up. :-)
great vlog , i never really feel safe on them aquaducts , you never if the bottom's going to fall out hahaha , me & my late stepmum used to have the same arguments as you two lol , she used to say scon , but i used to say scone lol , but she was from hartlepool .
Scone rhymes with “on!” My sweet grandmother (may she RIP) would become irate if anyone called her baked goods “skowns” and accuse the culprit of being a nasty Londoner. She was very particular about her pronunciation, being from Aberdeen. Londoner was a grave insult.

Thanks, David! 👍🏻💜
Great Vlog as usual guys, love the film work & editing. Colin, what was the make of the grey hoodie you had on at the beginning.....need to get myself one of those ready to wear on our Bickerboat👍
Oi! No costume copycats! 😂
Haha, it's Superdry. Do you really need to ask? Everything I wear is Superdry 👍🏻😂
absolutely mind blowing ...and they built this when?.. but completed in 1816. .. WOW!!
👍🏻
I must say that your videos are a treat. Your background music and footage is really interesting. We are continuous cruisers and one day we might meet up. We are on our way to Braunston on the Grand Union from Brentford. Watch out for Demelza.
Whereabouts are you?
Haha! Benny Hill was brilliant!
well lads another great video and done like you were both born for tv brilliant the facts the laughs and the stunning country side filmed so well ,makes for an enjoyable watch ,,after a day working in a big hospital i watched your adventure and thought what a great way of life ,it looks wonderful ,and the little dog looks well happy ,well thanks for that both ,until your next adventure on cut ,happy navigating ,ps i can,t hear the name william shakespeare with out imagining the star ship enterprise now ,lol.
Oh, don't encourage him with the William Shatner thing 😂😂😂
Great vlog as usual chaps. Do you think you will be doing a vlog on your electrics i.e. Solar in particular. I wondered if you had enough info now to work out how well that has done?
Hi, Steve 👋
Yeah, we're doing a solar vlog in May. Just waiting for a full year of data.
When you do those sequences where you pass under something low I find I’m ducking my head to avoid colliding 😆
Haha! That's what it's mean to make you do 😂
Beautiful video and music guys. After all the depressing news it was great just to chill out and watch a 🦊 vlog.
Thanks, Helen! Have a lovely weekend 💜
Wonderfull scenery, love the sound of water lapping around the boat .the barrel roofed cottages are neat.Thanks.
Our pleasure, Steve!
Hi Guys, how are you coping with the restrictions due to corona virus? We are fine here in the Australian country side but you travels might be interesting. Just remember that your program is much loved. Cheers
Hi Joseph 👋
We've moved out into the country and only going to the shop maybe once a week, with hand washing before, during and after! We're trying to stay positive even though the world seems to be losing it's marbles! Stay safe 💜
I love your videos. You guys seem like a great match. Glad I found your channel.
Awesome! Thank you!

Thank you!
Another great video and some great shots with drone ,what type of drone do you have .hope you both enjoyed your pies which look yummy stay safe lads
Cheers, Kevin. It's a Mavic 2 pro.
Thank Fox it's Friday! Stunning vlog as always. Have a great week & stay safe.
Thanks, Callum! Have a lovely weekend mate 👍🏻💜
Love the show, you guys are the best, but why do I keep getting a picture of Morecombe and Wise.
You need to retune your TV. Go back to Rumbelows and ask their advice 😉
Aww, I'd love to go back to the Fleur de Lys. Some lovely days spent in there!
great vlog , i never really feel safe on them aquaducts , you never if the bottom's going to fall out hahaha , me & my late stepmum used to have the same arguments as you two lol , she used to say scon , but i used to say scone lol , but she was from hartlepool .
Lori...! Please don't talk about bottoms falling out after Shaun's food poisoning last week 😂
Oh, it's Scon 😛
Scone rhymes with “on!” My sweet grandmother (may she RIP) would become irate if anyone called her baked goods “skowns” and accuse the culprit of being a nasty Londoner. She was very particular about her pronunciation, being from Aberdeen. Londoner was a grave insult.
Your Gran was a clever woman! Stay safe 💙
With all the doom and gloom regarding Coronovirus - your vlogs are a welcome treat - keep them coming guys.
Thanks, Patrick! No doom and gloom here. Here life is beaaaaaaaaaauuuuutiful! 👋🏻😂
@@FoxesAfloat Good to hear guys. All the best.
