Yeah I remembered the GBA game. Managed to play the game on my old gba because my dad was an old astroboy fan. Really appreciate he introduced me to such a gem. Maybe since its 2D that the budget went into the gameplay instead of the models

You want a good Astro Boy game? Check out Omega Factor on the Game Boy Advance. It's a great game in it's own right and a terrific tie-in to the 2003 Astro Boy Anime, which is widely considered one of the best incarnations.
u cannot convince me that this game is bad, played it too much as a child. had so much fun exploring and flying around the levels/world. might not be a perfect game but as a child with barely any other experiences with video games it really impressed me. my dad hated it tho
Watching them not save reminds me of playing this on my PS2 with an off-brand memory card that corrupted on occasion. Also the weather "memory game" always ruined me as a kid.
Question. Why did the national anthem of Metro City go from the Russian anthem in the Patreon video to the American on RUclips? Something to do with Al Gore's rhythms?
Yeah, so Al Gore's Rhythms may have been responsible, or maybe we should say Al Gorbachev's Rhythms - apparently there's still a strong Soviet presence at RUclips HQ, that took offence to that lovely anthem! Glad you got to see the original version, as the Lord Billy intended 👍

I timed myself while my friend watched me play and I beat this game in a 1hr 45 min with one death cause I was screwing around. Soundtrack, graphics, and some boss designs were well done. But the game was far too easy and the unskippable dialogue is a pain. The frame rate was bad from what I remember when you flew around the city.
Yeah, For a while hentai dvds came out and no adult knew what they were in the 90s. You could pick up La Blue Girl at Sam Goody, right next to the Looney Toons boxed sets
I like the idea of being able to fly around as Astro boy in an open world but the main problem here is that the game just looks unfinished, like they were putting some care into it then 5 months before it launched sega went AYO WE GOTTA PUSH IT OUT WHILE ITS STILL RELEVANT, JUST REMOVE EVERYTHING CAUSING FPS ISSUES NOBODY WILL CARE ANYWAY!!!
I'm honestly surprised it never came up that Astro Boy's inventor used to refuel him by pouring gasoline up his ass. Or "arse" for our friends and allies across the Pond. Or "Atlantic Ocean" as it's known in the Colonies.
Guess im a weirdo because i really enjoyed this game, the gameplay was fun and simple and the soundtrack was one of sega teams best for this system imo... I recommend people actually give this one a try.
