He'll yeah I remember Mariahs...those were the days. I partied a many a Saturday night and not to mention The Bricks and The Legion. I was so sad to see it close. I think it's a mattress store now. God bless.
t0hday is our 58th wedding anniversary and in two days i will be 77 yrs old just made your grandmas meatballs today 4 thumbs up from my husband the very best thankl you so much
What a great video. The best food comes from our Grandparents. The same thing goes for me as well. It´s much more than the food. It´s the taste and smell of history that reminds us of great childhood memories and tingles our senses and the "hormone" called nostalgia with love and affection. My Grandmother made her own chicken noodle soup. Sadly she took it to her grave before I had a chance to get the recipe years ago. I´ve tried to replicate her chicken stock, but I just can´t do it. What was odd was she used no onions, carrots or celery. She only used large chunks of chicken thighs from the broth she made, broken spaghetti noodles and parsley. So delicious!
really like your narration especially when you called your grandmother your "Nana". that's what I called my grandmother who I absolutely loved and will love 'til the day I die. thanks, Frank.
I’m in the parking lot trying to decide what meat to make for dinner…I thought …hmmm maybe meatballs and came across your video and thought “This is the one I’m making” So it’s on…I’m about to go buy what I need and go home and try to make this . Thank you so much God bless you and your family 💯🙏
One tip guys.. don’t roll the meat ball like you do cookie dough.. pressing too hard to form a ball gives you tough and rubbery balls abd you don’t want that. Loose balls is best just like how the uploader did. He bounced it round in one hand probably after he scooped a heaping tablespoon of meat mixture and NO worries as long as you got egg in there it won’t collapse. If baking instead of sautéing add breadcrumbs (2/3 cups to 2 pounds minced beef) forming roughly one inch balls and, bake 200 F for 20 minutes, uncovered.
I didn't know what kitchen bouquet was so I used fresh parsley fresh rosemary and I used good veal and homemade breadcrumbs .The meatballs came very soft and I'm happy .The sauce is not brown it's beige but the flavours are great
Kitchen Bouquet is a browning sauce and it can be hard to find. Small shelf stable bottle - might be easiest to find around Thanksgiving. Very salty! Be sure to taste after adding and keep in mind your gravy will reduce making it even saltier. Might have MSG as an ingredient in case that bothers you.
Well, I made it and Man. It has no taste too much oil and you shouldn’t use water. It’s blah and I follow the instructions to a T never again ! What a waste of my time and money sorry never again 5:42

LOVELY MEATBALLS BROWN GRAVY DAPHNE COTTON ALWAYS 💜
Very nice. The music is distracting, though.
I am going to make this tonight but with venison! I will let you know how it is!
Please do😎
@@franksfavoritefoods7753 it came out very good. Venison did not taste games at all because the red peppers and gravy sweeten it up🥰

You don't use breadcrumbs?

Fantastic thanks for letting me know 😎

How much meat?
We don't have kitchen bouquet here in Norway. Can I skip it or is it essential? Thank you!
Hi there, any concentrated beef stock will work.
I was a chef for 35 years in fine restaurants. Beef base or beef cubes should work for you.
👍👍
No breadcrumbs?
No, I don’t use them. I feel like it makes the meatball rubbery
Awww too late
l added the kitchen bouquet to the meatballs
That's a GREAT IDEA!!!
Season with more than just salt and pepper
Oh no. Not the old "This is how Grandma used to make it line" I've heard it so many times. My Grandmother was an awful cook.
😕
ummm... grandma's were really good cooks... sorry about yours
Hopefully she had some other positive attributes.

why eat poisonous vegetable oil?
