@thenelsonbruhs722 not at all, i just feel like the real innovation in drumlines was during that period. Pre 90s was a lot of the same, and then post 2000s was just adding crazy drill and props.
@rifle2563 i can agree with that! It was an incredible time to watch the writing and drill peak. Now its all just adding props and sound systems to drum corps shows.
I remember watching the championship broadcast thanksgiving 1995 on PBS. I've been a Blue Devil fan since I started drumming in the early 90s, but seeing The Planets that year blew me away. Lol
Crazy that I saw both of these happen, once as a teenager and then again with a kid who's a teenager ❤ 95 was the first year I ever saw... it was GLORIOUS.
@@clarkfloer2141 oh solid! That’s good to know. I aged out in 14 and marched BK. So I grew up on the blue smoke dvd’s lol so for my entire life I thought that that’s when it was created…. I appreciate you for correcting me !!
And they won percussion both years…💯
Getting that clean is incredible. Wow
That is the best era of drum corps ever! Early 90s to about 2003
Early 2000s is ok compared to greatness of 97-99
Just gonna ignore the late 2010’s I guess

@rifle2563 dont forget the amazing 95 season with scouts doing malaguena and the cavaliers doing planets.
97 and 98 Glassmen battery here. Definitely the best era of corps
Incredible
I miss the classic uniforms.

Yeahhh the cavilars drum and bugel corps👏😁
Was wondering when someone would put these 2 together. Awesome!
That’s just wild.
Mercury!!!
Just being a proud dad, my daughter was part of the Spartans in 2023... Champeens!
She was a tosser.
As a trumpet player that also plays drums, I want to be cocky enough to say I am the first comment
bruh
Trumpet moment, smh
Why is it called the Casey claw? I thought it was just the claw.
is that mercury lol
yeah lol
Funny how that move is named after Brohard but it was done years before he even marched and a decade before he did it in his i&e.
Brohard is not the founder. Mark Casey is where it comes from. Source: I was a cavalier this year in 23 and we got the history lesson from MM

@@clarkfloer2141Mm, who is this person?
It was first known as the "cavie claw"
I'm sure I'll get some hate over this but I like the Cadets show better.
☹️ 'promosm'
Claw was first used in their 94 show.
