    i know this is a long 6 months ago but i would like to know how to import any model that i make i used mixamo rigging in to use skeleton so i can make a working grab the other person to hit a seris of moves so i can start a wrestling game please

    Can you do a tutorial where you are just doing the character alone and not modular parts because those steps for the modular parts make it hard to filter out whats just necessary for just a character. For example, that node that you added "set leader pose component" you added in the construction script, is that done for modular parts only , or even if you were just doing a whole character. I think you see what I mean when its hard to know which parts are mandatory to get it working for a character alone. Also in the documentation and other tutorials they create an ik rig and an ik retargeter, but you didn't . Was "set leader pose component" replacing those steps?

    There is a process to make your own character or metahuman the character that spawns when the game starts. It's beyond the scope of this post, but it has to do with the Auto Retarget capability EPIC provides and involves the creatation of an APB with one node that causes the New Character to synchronize with CBP_sandbox Character's APB. The creator that makes the project I'm referring to has a tutorial on how to do this, but it's silent. If your not aware I'll provide you with the info. But if you know what I'm talking about, seeing a tutorial with narration would be great. One additional point, in his project Pawn picks up weapons. But the retargeted char from the widget can't. Also just duplicate any of the widget char in the widget editor and use that. As I recall you just drag your "BP_Orininal" onto the duplicated icon. It will show up there and function like all the others when the game starts. But the pawn will be "Sandbox Character. I'd do this myself for this guy but I'm not fluent with all the descriptions and technical names to fashion a coherent tutorial. Your tutorial is very helpful and I'm subscribed. Thanks for all that effort. I'll be keeping an eye on Render Crate.

    I'm new to making games, but when I made the character a first-person perspective, when I did (rotation yaw and pawn control rotaion), the player no longer rotates with the character, and when he stands still, you can see the player from behind. Can you fix this?

    Question: CBP_SandboxCharacter is parent, and everything in RetargetCharacter folder are Child of CBP_SandboxCharacter. So, why you make a child out of a child bp character and not just duplicate CBP_SandboxCharacter_Manny??????

      When duplicating the widget the project won't recognize the file and you will be stuck with the orange guy mesh, instead of the character mesh you are trying to use. I've been working on a project to fix this for the past three days and haven't found a fix yet

      ​@@gaigelarock3970All the MH in my project were created by simply duplicating Kellen and then modifying them. I didn't add my collection to the list because it's irrational to do so. GASP is incomplete, and currently, it only has one update. More updates are coming, including new features and bug fixes. When the next update is released, the widget will also be updated. From my perspective, it's not worth the time to re-add characters to the widget again and again when GASP received new updates and that the time is better spent on what truly matters - the progression of the project. On my end, when I'm working on CharABC, I just go to WorldSettings and change the DefaultPawnClass under GameMode. If I need to work on CharXYZ, I just do the same less-than-5-sec process.
      For testing purposes, I opened the widget, duplicated the "EUW Character Select Button," changed it to one of my MH, and tested it. There was no issue. The UEFN character doesn't get stuck on my end. I even tried using the SkeletonWarrior model on a duplicate of Manny, and it still worked as expected. There are many tutorials on RUclips that uses this duplication approach, and it works for them as well. So, I'm not sure what might be going wrong on your side.
      By creating a child from another child, you're making your character dependent on Manny, and Manny dependent on UEFN. In the future, say a year from now, the project file size will bloat. When you doing downsizing, you'll be stuck with Manny, a redundant character that players won’t even use in your game. This is why I'm curious about your approach. Thanks for replying after 4 months (lol). At least I know it's just workaround due to an issue on your side.
