Some of the aspects regarding the gameplay/movements I would have to say that with a bit of practice you start to learn the timings and avoid the in-game glitches (though you shouldn’t)
As basketball enthusiasts we’re cursed with this shitty, money hungry, delusional ass developer - 2K, that is slowly loosing its grip on their community
Glitches, crashes, bad gameplay, useless in-game features, horrendous servers - all sums up 2K…
I am voting with my wallet this year and will refrain from buying 2K25
Even their most loyal streamers gave up on it and it’s a matter of time until everyone will
NBA 2K’s downfall will be studied by upcoming developers and case studied on how not to lose a potential incredible gamebase to greed and incompetence

2k 2015 in my opinion but adding the classic teams to online interested me for about a year then I realized the game is made to fit modern play. Kind worthless when getting off a clean mid range shot is impossible 22 last one I played.@@Despicable_Gamer
As someone who plays on PS5 the new gen version of 2K24 was literally no better, and everything said here applies to that game too (aside from the graphics)
I haven’t bought anything since 2k18 I was done with how much money you got to spend
I usually play it on pc for mods but 4 years of no next gen is unacceptable didn’t get it this year
I gotta say ea is a equality bad company but at least madden improves a little every year we actually got next gen on pc for madden this year
where are the fun mods at? all i can find online are like face scans and shit

As a yearly 2K player I can admit that the game isn’t perfect and has its flaws but there’s also a lot they put in to cater towards players like myself. Gameplay wise they made paint defense strong after it was abysmal in 2K22-23 and they made shooting more skill based so we aren’t making shots with our eyes closed like in 2K22. I get that VC prices for builds and clothes are crazy high but they do have incentives in the game that benefits grinders like daily quests and season challenges. I would consider myself an above average player with consistent people to run with and I’m making 70-100k VC a season frm these combined Quests w games played in rec/park. Now for an average or even below average player that maybe doesn’t play as often or have consistent teammates I can understand where the frustration is coming from. I believe this stems from 2K not being able to balance the community between “casuals vs sweats” or “skill vs casual” from year to year they cater the gameplay from one side of the community to the other.
You know it’s bad that they selling this game for 8$ on ps5 or Xbox store.
I don't get why they still cap the attributes upgrades at 85 Ovr, they should just let us buy our way to 99 overall from the start, it'd be way less time consuming & at least they would be getting their money. Its a win/win.

AIs might be awful in play now, but in my career they’re goated. This year they never miss any shot open

Every year since 2k16 I haven’t bought this game. And every year 2k shows why that’s the right decision. Until people start speaking with their wallet it’s gonna be the same every year

Yea it’s a big difference! I’m a park fan and not a nba fan I don’t even play organized basketball I’m a kickboxer 😂 but I haven’t touched this since 22 and 20 before that park is fun but I refuse to pay for a new character every year that shit is just lame.
For me, I like it, but that’s because I’m not really a my career I’m more of a franchise build a team career simulations that’s just always been more fun to me🤷♂️. I’ve already known it was a scam moment in 2017 2K 18 came out and I realized all the VC you spent on your my player the year prior meant nothing
I like 2k24 but it has issues. Microtransaction and influencers are the biggest problems this game has.

2k24 is elling for 5$ on steam in my country but i still feel that i just got robbed for the same experience that i used to have since 2k21 with minor changes

The beauty of this is that we can just get modded previous counsels with tons of games on them and just play all the games on there that’s what I do lol I’m not paying for none of that stuff 😂
I got it for 16 bucks and all I play is eras season modes. Works for my old ass

MyEras is the only mode I play. You can tailor the game to exactly how you want it on that mode

Who ever thought green or nothing to make a shot with their super inconsistent green windows shit bouncing all over the place makes this game unplayable if you want to play anything outside of mycareer. You must know every teams shot and it’s outrageous shooting 30% in a game because the green window is soo small that you just have a low chance of hitting it consistently playing with random players who have bad shots. If you have a slow shot good luck you’ll lose your green window 24/7

The greatest shooter of all time shoots 42% adjust your expectations. In this regard 2k is at least trying to be realistic. Then again I've seen the stats of people that shoot over 80% that's double the greatest shooter of all time...
@@JayJay-z4y I’m playing a video game I miss old 2ks where it was casual and fun. If I wanted to simulate real basketball I’ll go play it. But this game is just terrible animation and terrible dribbling with realistic shot percentages that just infuriates you cause you feel like your green window is small as hell but you’re seeing another dude shoot 100% while a majority of their shots are 3s
@@JayJay-z4y also the contest system is broken if you have a slow animation you will lose your green window all the time. So if you shoot like Kyle Anderson you’ll pretty much never make a shot because they just need to cough in your direction to lose your green window

@McDangerVideos90 I be on console it's pretty fun the moves kinda janky but it's still super fun to play online
Hey man, great video, I agree with most of your points but I wanted to address one thing you said about game journal reviews. I do agree, especially in years past and now for other games as well, that game reviewers are either paid off or generous/kind to mid and bad games because they wanna keep in the "good graces" of big corporate developers and publushers. But, I think the reviews for 2k24 are not "good" as you said, IGN gave it a 6, and it's at a 68 on Metacritic. Respectfully those are not good game scores, a 6 out of 10 is what you would give a mid game which is what 2k24 is.
The microtransactions are horrid though and thats what makes the game suck. You should have picked previous years like 2k23 and 2k18 where the games are reviewed at 8 plus but have even worse user review scores.
I bought it on pc and then 2 days later saw it was free on ps5 😐

Agree 100%. I haven't pre-ordered since 2k22. I won't pick up 25 till it comes out free on Xbox game pass. Then I'll only play Franchise eras.
This was a very well presented video. I believe 2k is alienating their fan base where you have to pay in order to enjoy the game while other games allow a lot more for less.

They have for awhile my nail in the coffin for me this year is the “skill gap” they tried to implement is ass this green or nothing shot when they have such terrible latency online and offline so expecting the only way to make a shot is a perfect release is just stupid. I’ll shoot 30% with players like melo because the green window is super small and just always changing making the “skill gap” just frustrating
2k24 player model looks atrocious than ever before because they wear generic shoes. what a joke!!!!. I hope 2k will be dead in decades because 2k simply don't care making good games at all.

Last 2K i played was 2K23 because it was free on PS Plus. Playing it made me so tired of 2K and i ended up deleting it and I will not be purchasing any future 2K titles for a while. 2K is a garbage series!
