I miss this game. Tons of fun farming rss to make a schooner and farm gold for crew. Along with the countless hours of solo, creative ship building making absurd armored, 100 gun broad side brawling brigs,, or torpedo schooners

I remember being super hyped about this, and I did have a lot of fun early on. Never was a fan of the grotesque aesthetic. They pulled it off well, and I feel like I can actually smell the grease as I walk around the HQ area, but it's just not my jam personally. I don't blame the devs for wanting to move on at this point, but I am sad this is the final state it will be in. I'll look forward to the next attempt at a game like this, which will probably attempt to bring in a Fortnight aesthetic, being bright and vibrant with acid rainbows and laser unicorns.

just imagine if atlas had the playercounts and dev support of Ark, the untapped potential is crazy, just imagine tribes with hundred upon upon hundreds of players like arks megatribes fighting wars with entire fleets of massive ships, sad

I was so hype for this game, I endured the lag and crashes at launch.. and yet.

Still play the game, reached lvl 29 today an got 575 cells 2,400 parts & 15,000 synthite materials. This is on PS5 as well. Have not built a base yet. My 1st thing is looking for Forsaken Tombs 1st to loot, then go for the Genmat material to evolve the Chimera!~ Love the bases that have "Defense Failed 75 exp" shoot up the lower left as you load in an u collect materials!~ Did a base that as soon as u got the GenMat, the floor was firebox at 10:53 in, an the way out was not possible as the - - - which shows on the floor as a upgrade was gone!

as i am saying for years. fast and oversimplified leveling and gameplay sucks. look at gw2 or ffxiv. they are making millions on skins and mounts and quality of life while ncsoft is ruining all games the same way over and over again. i used to love aion, lineage, tera, blade and sou etc. but now its just contest of who can spend more $. fast leveling that skips 90% of game and the rest is autohunt grinding at same spots while spending hundreds of dollars for gear to be able to survive grinding spots and hope to reach high enough level to fight against raid bosses again before they shift lvl needed higher again and again? no thank you. i ll rather pay one time price for single player game instead

Congrats on completing the run! The Biped Armadillos are the Reavers. The ones with the back tentacle wings are called Avatars. (They give them names in the Holomatch multiplayer when you use them as bots.) I believe the very little lore about them explain it as the Reavers are just genetically engineered monsters made from a combination of most alien DNA the Harvesters (the crab guys) collect from ships trapped by the Forge. The Avatars however are the special guys that get all the juicy telepath DNA. So the blue rings they fire at you is some psychic attack. Reavers would be the grunts while the Avatars would fit a more specialist role. I'm not too clear if the Seed would create another Engineered Monster that would fit with this paradigm as the top dog, or if the Avatars and Reavers already made are just unfinished prototypes. Any chance of you tackling a Phaser/Disruptor only run in Elite Force 2?

This was my favorite part of the game, especially the Mirror Universe ship.

3981 hrs this game had so much potential. every thing from fishing ,diving , whale hunting, treasure maps and a kraken. first thing that went wrong was the ships building when they changed the way you build ships then it was all down hill from there.
