I just ordered one from Sean. I had a normal Purple Plexi ages ago and found it a bit bright and fizzy with the tone up, so I got the SE version which is darker but I think slightly more limited in its range than this one. The SE’s tone is always nearly maxed out though. With the boost on this one it’s cracking value and time to give it another shot. I held off on the Valve Reamer but if it comes up again it will probably end up heading my way. Thanks for another awesome demo.
I have this one and love it but always felt the tone was a bit bright so was considering the SE since I use a separate boost and could use the room on the board. Worth getting the SE if I love the PP but want something slightly warmer but still has that crack and bite?
Also, I saw Sean Tubbs commenting a one of your videos. You know you are doing something right when you are capturing the attention of a top level pro musician like that!
Hey man thank you SO much for watching. And in the bridge is a custom Lindy Fralin Pure PAF based off a real 63 PAF from a ES335 a friend owns. And the neck is a Gibson 57 Classic soon to be changed
Hey thanks man!! In the neck is a Mojotone Low Wind 59 and the bridge is a custom wound Lindy Fralin Pure PAF. Soon to be changed for a Tyson tone preachers daughter
@@brucereed8368 I'm also looking for information about these differences. Little is said about it, and it really is confusing. So... for now, I have the Plexi 100 pro, the Vintage Modern, and i just got the Purple Plexi SE, the white one. It's very hard to explain, i will try lol Boost sides - VM / Plexi 100 pro: The boost channels are different. -In the VM is a PP (on Modern side), and boost (Drive) with level (on Vintage side - COT circuit with level). -in the Plexi 100 pro we have a COT side ( Level, Bias and Sens) with on other side volume boost, no gain, slightly darker boost to tame de highs of plexi side. And yes, the the plexi 100 sound is based in a COT circuit. A mod COT with volume boost. Purple Plexi sides - VM / PP Se: In the SE we have much more output volume, more touch sensitivity and more gain. The Se has a more medium-low voice than the PP side of the VM. It's a great mess all lovepedal sound references and tones. Let's learn together :)
I went ahead and bought a VM when I found one on eBay for a great price. I haven't gigged with it yet but I am quite impressed. Definitely a Plexi in a box!
Came across your video by accident but - wow, what a fabulous tone and you play with precision but amazing feel. Thank you😃🎸
That's a nice sounding pedal the purple plexi and Electro Harmonix Glove are my favorite plexi pedals

- So, people ... what can we do to improve this popular, already insanely loud pedal?
- Uhm ... a ... boost?
Good demo,, you got a lot of good Plexi songs.
I was wondering what kind of Camera & microphones a person uses for a RUclips channel. Any suggestions? Thank You!
I wonder if this is the same as the Plexi Pro 100, it has the same layout. I own the Plexi 100 Germanium version. Really cool pedal.
Mike Jay I was wondering g that myself. I have the Plexi pro 100 also . this one sound a bit higher gain . but im running a tele into the one I have .
Wow! Love your playing and tone in this video... what pickups are in your Gibson LP? Love your channel!

Dub-T Dank I will for sure be doing that once im back with it! After NAMM!!...
Do you like the purple plus or the white version better and if so why?
How does this compare with Catlinbreads- Dirty little Secret pedal?
Much different. You feel that classic 4x12 or Full Stack vibe underykir fingers
@@SebastianFalvoMusic Which pedal are you referring to?
@@jumpinjack6350 Purple plexi. Great touch sensitive.
I am a bit confused. This pedal is absolutely amazing, but isn't the "Vintage Modern" essentially a Purple Plexi with a boost?
And then there's the Plexi Pro overdrive (with a Boost switch), there's the Plexi 100 Pro Overdrive (also with a Boost switch). Help!
